Well the only thing i dont like about version 3 is cuz itz slower and it makes dat gay sound when yu shift lol.

really? i thought all turbo cars were supposed to get the bov. you sure they have enough points? my gc8v got the bov after the first or second step of my BT.

and i liked ver. 2 'cuz it felt like i knew what i was doing. i was finally getting better at it and finally got my aura and they suddenly changed to ver. 3. i haven't even seen my aura in ver. 2 yet!

although ver. 3 is more fair.

hmm... iono. i had headphone's on, so that might be the problem

. however, i could still hear my bov just fine on my fc...

EDIT: i liked ver3 better because the new menu looks hella nice. the car selection screen also looks better. other than that, i think that ver 2&3 are pretty much the same, regardless of the new cars and courses

Well, I've only played Ver. 3 so I have to say that I like that one better. If I can find a ver.2 around my area I might change my opinion though. But, for now it's Ver.3

Version 3 is much better. A car won't dominate the whole game, a player with the right skill will whereas in version 2, a crappy ass player can do quite well with a DC2.

It also has more physics behind it i.e. feinting in Version 3 is VERY useful whereas in Version 2 EVERYONE, and I meant EVERYONE had a dumb DC2 and it was like god everywhere in the game. Battles, TAs, everything.

I have only played like 10-20 times myself. But, I like it so far. I wish I could go to my arcade more and more. That way I can practice more. At one point I'm planning on just wasting $20 on Initial D Vers. 3 so that I can play more than an hour or so.

Well, I use a R32 in Version 3. I'm unsure what everyone else uses.

Ver.2 Why? Becuz its the only version that got me SUPER pumped and addicted. Yea, the other versions were good, but ver.2 was REALLY good. And also the fact that the EVOIII wasnt much popular back then. (I like to be unique)

rx8 and evo IV r the most used cars IMO
and version3 is better evens out the cars more, bump mechanics r better, no more dc2(even though dc2 jr. is still around), more courses, more cars, u go slower which is more realistic, u go slower so u get to play longer, the songs is a toss up, and the layout of when buying a car and choosing lots ta or bunta looks cooler...

I like v.3 better cause it's got more balanced cars...even tho the rx8 is the dc2 jr. I still like the fact that every car has it's strengths and weaknesses...

Version 3 is alot better.

+3 great new courses to play on.
+EVO V.
+More realistic turning speeds(even though they are still grossly exaggerated).
+DC2 has been nerfed. Thank God!

-The RX-8 has basically taken its place.
-Boost is still on by default which is something I don't like in ID. It would be better if boost was when both players pushed the brake pedal. I don't like boost because even ppl who would get smoked by you without boost stand a great chance of winning. I know IDAS is just a game but when you f up(take a turn slower) in real life you don't have boost to get extra chances at passing.

Well i've noticed that in my Arcade V.3 is way louder. Going to pick your car or course... the sound is soo f*ckin loud. Like the first time i tried i almost fell out of my seat. However like phome said no DC2's. But yet V.2 Soundtrack is better than V.3, But V.3 has a few good songs.

I noticed for you shift you can hear that noise, but in V.2 you cant. It gets annoying when you start hearing that noise over and over agian. I havent seen any RX-8's in my arcade yet.. am i lucky??

if u had to hold the brake for boost to be on, no one would ever use it...
they leave it on as default so if one person wants it on (most likely the beginner or the person being fished) it will be on....
let's say you are about to be fished with NO hope of winning...the fisher obviously wouldn't want to hold the brake to give you a chance, b/c if he did, he wouldn't be guaranteed a win anymore....boost is better on default, i leave it on when i'm about to be fished...

Ver. 3, although my FC has been downgraded

. Ver. 2 also had better music. for boost, i think you should haveta turn it on, cus i never use it, even when im being fished...like by an Spirit R on Akagi DH wet in my FC...too bad he sucked cus even tho i haveta brake like a mofo i beat him by like 200 meters, and the only time I've done Akagi DH wet was against stupid retarded keisuke obsessed Kenta, and that was months ago.

ver 2 was slightly better....no wheel lock (in game not the actual steering wheel) and i didnt see many dc2's around my arcade and even if i did....u know go to iro, and pwn...except for a guy named adam. and now we have v3 and there is maybe 2 rx8's. v2 music was better but there are a fews gems in v3. and the new tracks are nice. but after playing v1 iro night compared to v2 iro night...no comparison.v3 has not changed iro much excpet for the speeds you can take the corners at. so meh...i guess v2

ver 2 is the best, not only is the color way better but when you turn off the lights on ver 2 its not pitch black like in ver3 and the bov would be nice on ver 2 but dont matter i still like it and those other courses or ok IRO would still be better in ver3 but they dont have, well maybe i like ver2 because i own all the cars in the game (litterally no lieing ) i bought all the cars in the game and im fixing them up slowly. i i have fixed up my GDB and my S15 and FC , im working on my cappuccino

version 3 is way better. for me it is better for three reasons:

1. no god car
2. I have been driving gdb(first car ever in initial d) and altezza in ver.2 and got alot criticism for it and now they are some of the best cars in the game.
3. every car is pretty much even so it is more competitive.

the only downside is the v.2 music is better

the only version which is like the anime/cartoon is the version3 but not the turbo sound after u shift up that like AE86 VS BNR32 that BNR32 lost cause of its brake ETC. over boost cause of turbo something like that or about the car weakness of the BNR32 understeer due to heavyweight and brake weaken on the DH

The poll speaks for itself dosen't it? I vote version 3 as well. When v3 first came out, i thought it sucked too, was very unused to the slow speeds. But after a while, you get use to it and appreciate that more thought and strategy is involved now, since everything is slower-paced. Nowadays, whenever i go back to version 2, it feels wayyy too fast..but somehow i still match my v2 times..LOL

Regarding the BOV sound, you have to wait until you are at 10,000 points (or was it 15,000) when you get the muffler upgrade. Unless your machine has a problem.

sure to be v3 la.. for games.. the latest is always the better ones... cause game makers will always try to improve on the problems and listen to feedback from players..... so tat they can attract players to play their games!!!!!

I say version 3 cuz thats the only one i ever played and jus started playing this week and im addicted. plus i read that version added more stuff so of course its better...
