Initial D World - Discussion Board / Forums > Initial D Merchandise > Error Packaged 1:64 Skyline value?

Posted by: attack eagle Mar 31 2007, 09:06 AM
I've nver been able to locate another one, but what value (if any) does an Error packaged 1:64th jada toys R32 skyline in FD3S "kt" packaging have in Mint condition?

Only the car is wrong, all the packaging, including the plastic inserts around the car are for the RX7. I found it on the shelf some years ago at a target , kmart, walkmart etc while in Vacation in Phoenix.

I'm not sure what the value is on mispackaging, but it may be worth something, or it could be worth even less. XD
Holy on to it regardless, funny story. lol

Thanks. Usually due to rarity, mispackagings, mislabelings, and mispellings are worth far more to collectors than "correct" collectables. IF the problem was limited and corrected that is, unlike the jedi "starfihter" at Target. Those are worth bupkis because every one of them is the same.
Think upside down biplane, the new dollar coins worth $50 because they lack IN GOD WE TRUST on the outside, etc.

I was offered $25 for it but I thought that was a little low, since so far I have never read of nor seen another one. Figured you guys would know best if there were others or not.

I've seen another one of those at the Toys R Us here. It was actually a Trueno with a Sil-Eighty labeling though, I found it quite funny, I should go look for it and pick it up.

Maybe now it cost way more than $25 or $50. I just sold a regular one for $37 and the Toyota trueno AE86 for $100 on eBay
