Because personally, i prefer Boost On, especially on maps such as Irohazaka, where if you make one wrong turn, you're screwed lol. And besides that, when someone(that you dunno) tries to turn Boost Off, do you usually go with that the other person wants, or stick with what you prefer? |

I prefer the Boost-on for friendly battles or just wanna have fun without pressure... @topic starter: thats the essence of a battle.... u make a wrong turn, ur screwed... u should catch up/win on your own, and dont rely on the boost... |

Think about it, what's more fun than tryna lose some dude that sticks to your tail and catches up to you no matter how much the both of you mess up?! But if I wanna battle seriously, I play boost off. |

techniquely it would be a win on ur record. this is for bragging rights. but if it stayed equal at the end then he would rematch on the same exact course only that person would would switch positions. it keeps going until someone either outruns the person(leader) or if you over take and finish (chaser). so it could go on for a while. which is y i only race like that when its only my friends playing. (dont wanna seem like we're hogging the machine.) like what wataru said. if our skills are equal then other factors like luck and endurance come into play.
