We use to always do boost off back in the Ver.2 days then we got Ver.3 and the first National tournament started up and we were forced to do boost on. After that it grew on us and made races a lot more fun.

the ver3 competitions here are also boost on.. LOL

yeah i sorta agree, but i find that in maps such as iro, its based more on experience(which is sorta a part of skill), to know when to turn

But sometimes experience can turn around and bite u when u least expect it.... i recently lost a battle on tsukuba outbound because i turned the first right turn after the long straights at section 3 at a speed of 146 when the limit on that turn was 145.... thus the oversteer kicked in and my opponent who turned at a slower speed managed to catch up and overtake me easily

So sometimes in a boost off battle safety first hehe....

Because i hate ppl using the boots to win T_T
but for me .. when i play with pro's i usually boots on because i scare lost also hahaha ^^ and i can learn the line he race also can know what is the time he brake XD

Of course Boost-Off..The game should set Boost-Off as a default rather than Boost-On.Only apply Boost-On when two players brakes.I really hates those jerks who're proud winning a PRO just because of the handicap..

i guess they didn't do that so as to make the game more noob-friendly. Imagine your first battle, boost off. you would be owned ._.

eh.. boost on aso proved to be challenging leh. u nid a certain level of skills when playing boost on too.. imo, you nid even more skills in playing a boost on match.

yeah, it takes skill to really block your opponent when he gets that retarded boost. And i think boost on makes it (sorta) more fun since you don't need to get so serious and tensed up, worrying about making a mistake.

I prefer boost off. I think it's very fair to have boost on in the battle.

Possibly, if the people that are skill enough will manage to catch up the opponent in front of him/her...

Actually it's more fun in Boost Off if You want a close face-to-face Battle..ONLY if both Players are evenly skilled,with Lane Advantages,one would lead the race and the other follow,it'll be like the Battles on the Anime.."One mistake,it's all over"

Boost On for a friendly match with my friends because it's funner when the guy behind you is tailgating your ass. Boost off if the other guy was a noobeater and cocky. But most of the time, I let the opponent choose.
