Been a while since I've updated this thread, but it finally happened. We finally have confirmation of the final two characters of the game! It turns out, they're magical girls from the series that's been on Fly-System's website for a while now. I should've connected the dots, but oh well, silly me. Anyway, here you go. I present, Sarara and Kirara!

Bit of an update to this thread!

First, the official release date for the game has been confirmed for August 16th. Freaking awesome!

Second, they've added yet ANOTHER character to the roster! This was one I was actually already expecting, since they had Nanoha/Fate already. After all, what is Slayers without...

AWESOME UPDATE TIME!!

They've posted a new gameplay video for the final version of the game, including clips of attacks for all the characters. However, they don't show any character's final attack, leaving that for people who play the final game I'm sure. Enjoy!!

Japanese, of course. It's not an official game, it's a doujin game. I also announced the release date in my last update, hahaha.

But since then, there have been more updates! Some new characters, as well as a new promotional video. Here's the promo vid:

Okay, some more updates.

Magical Battle Arena will technically be released to attendees of Summer Comiket on the 16th... but it hits online shops the next day, the 17th. If I find a shop that carries it and offers a download service instead of mail-order, I am SO going to just buy the damn thing.

A lot of the characters have been carefully rebalanced as per comments from the beta testing team. Namely, people complained about Nanoha being too strong (cough), so she's been toned down a little bit. Aww. Oh well, I'll still use her and rape you guys, no worries.

Some people also complained about Lina's spells taking too long to recite and thus being really hard to pull off in actual combat... but they wanted it that way, because her spells are easily on a level above quite a few other characters in the game. The stronger the magic, the longer it takes. Hey, at least you can move while chanting!

And the biggest news I have for you guys this week...

NEW PREVIEW VERSION HAS BEEN RELEASED!

That's right, there's a new version up for public download, so be sure to check it out. I haven't played it just yet (10 minutes!!!), but it'll probably be pretty cool. So if you can't wait until next week to try to get your hands on the full game, then here's your chance to try it out.

Well since this has a Nomake Wan-Certified sticker of approval I will take a look at it tonight.

Okay, just played it. The graphics are slightly improved, the attack timings are improved, voices are improved... but the biggest differences are the new loading screens, inclusion of an Opening video, and the inclusion of Kirara as a playable character.









Fun with twin attacks. Or as Fragger would say, "Oh, look! Strike Freedom and Infinite Justice!"

Hmmm, I wonder if their game engine is proprietary or not...

I'll wait until the full version, haha I can't wait for this epicness

Epic win.Can't wait for full version to come out.One week left !!! I've been waiting for this since a LONG time ago,but I think the waiting is gonna be worth it.

I just tried about the full version when i mysteriously warped into the future LOL jokes

I played v1.00 on my shitbox (P III) thanks to the Graphic Card problem on the other PC (C2D). This new upgrade of graphics really makes it 50% harder to play as the game is more laggier than version 0.11 when it ran fine.

I would like to see a story mode however, if its just custom battle for the whole game, it would seem repetitive and then will be left aside.

Yes this game will come out next week, but for some reason, i have a BIG feeling that it would be like 300mb+ with all the character additions and stuff. Big problem on my end as my connection is going like a piece of crap, so i won't be able to get it for a while xD.

EDIT: I just scanned through the files. looks like the difference is the opening is 50mb+ more. Story Mode as been added (109mb), the character data is now from 44mb to 109mb. GameData is from 86mb to 197mb and the sound data has been uped as well.

I"m gonna test drive this now.

Here's what happened

you were Nanoha, and there was 5 Nanoha's. They are all abusers with the ball shooting thingy (when you press Z on your keyboard), they abused it, leaving you attackless. When your red bar fills up (S + C to activate), you try to use Starlight Breaker. you think you were gonna rape them with it, instead, it gets cancelled and you get assaulted again. i was down to 1 bar and i decideded, CAN I EVEN DO THE ARROW WITH THE MISFIRING!?. NO IT WAS REVERTED!!!.

Then i decided, lets shooting little balls at them as well. i shoot 5, they shoot like 30 each time. Who will win, 5 balls or 30?

Seriously, i'm not playing story mode. it pissed me off bad.

Downloading and installing 1.01 patch now. When I checked earlier it wasn't up, but looks like it's ready. Sweetness.

I've got the day off again on Monday (and then no days off for over a week), so if anyone wants to try online battles, let me know and I'll set up a server.

BTW, as posted on the Download page for 1.01, players with 1.00 cannot connect to players with 1.01. You need the 1.01 patch to play online.

Story Mode...

You didn't do the 20 vs 2 fight yet =_=

Simply spam Accel Shooter until you can do Starlightbreaker.Only one should kill them all.AND!If you think Nanoha is tough,TRY SARARA AND RURU!AH MAN I HAD A FREAKING HARD TIME WITH THOSE!!!!(Nanoha has Starlight Breaker,Fate has something similar...but what to they have?A Beam that hits one enemy only and Drill missiles which hits SOMETIME more than one opponents...but it can't even one-shot kill clones...nothing that makes the fights easier)....I still have Noel left to do but her special seem to be good to hit 6 peolple at the same time.(And man,Ruru story is freaking hard,but the last fight is pretty easy...but man,that fight is the definition of epic.5 VS 20.You(Ruru),Nanoha,Fate,Kirara and Sarara vs 19 Clones and Noel.)
