I think Ryosuke would whoop his ass anywhere else. So who do you think would win this match? This post has been edited by Stingzy on Nov 21 2015, 10:14 AM |

Shinji is only strong in his home course so if they raced in shinji's home course, ryoske is not guaranteed a win. Any wherenelse shinji would loose [ Post made via Mobile Device ] |

In that case it'd be Ryosuke all the way. |

I think Ryosuke would win either way. His analytical skill would overwhelm a home course advantage. The only reason he lost to Takumi was due to poor judgement of the wear his tires would suffer while mimicking Takumi's line in a more powerful car. |

Ryosuke would absolutely win on the pure merit of his experience as a pilot, let alone his mathematical mind, like Tess mentioned. The sheer fact that Takuma Sato never once gained a strand of hair on Schumacher on any circuit, is enough to divide the age-line amongst drivers. Someone who just imitates his father's rally technique can perhaps land a sucker punch on Ryosuke; but in the end, it's basically the same asphalt fight Tomo had with Tak... and Shinji has neither a blind-attack nor a stray cat to overtop Ryosuke. |

Yeah, as in Ryosuke before he raced Takumi, since Shinji is supposed to be a similar driver to Takumi at that point, I would think Shinji could maybe pull it off and win. I'm not sure how long he's been driving, I was under the impression that Shinji was a year or so younger than Takumi and that he had started driving before Takumi did.

We even see in the show that he has no game plan to beat Shinji. He literally just believes that Takumi can pull something off. Also Blind Attack is a huge part of how Takumi is able to come back and beat Shinji which is something Ryosuke can't do. |

Unless Shinji beat Keisuke first, Ryosuke wouldn't depower his FC to make it "fair". Shinji also has no experience with being shadowed on the road. The pressure would get him just like Takumi. Remember that Takumi won via desperate measures involving the gutters. Shinji doesn't have those.

It's not that hard to adapt your eyes to a lower lumen count. I've... sort of maybe unofficially not really I hope cops don't read this forum okay let's just say I've never ...turned off my lights going 90 on the freeway at 1:00 AM after work, and~ yeah, if you don't space out like Shinigami Hojo and start bumping into random guard rails/other cars, it actually elevates your adrenaline to the point your concentration's actually even more alert. You'd have to be sniffing some real high grade glue to start seeing wings behind the car you're chasing. In a race between Shinji & Ryosuke, Shinji'd just probably start seeing asteroids/comets falling from the sky as Ryosuke's gas love fogs Shinji-kun's windshield~

Except that wouldn't work in Shinji's favor on his home course. Takumi only caught up to Ryosuke because he could use the gutters. Shinji doesn't have any special tricks to close the gap if he's behind, especially against a car with a ton of extra power. Even if Ryosuke wore out his tires, he'd still be ahead and...
