Here's to hoping this is just Maxi Boost ON with better visuals, and also hoping for an English release since those are becoming a thing again.

I am so hyped, and yet I remind myself that I still would need:

A PS4 to begin with
A compatible fight stick for the PS4
The game itself

And get a little bit sad inside. Hoping that Doan Zaku and Garrod GX are default suits in this game though :U

It's not. The fact that it has a completely different name, is on a completely different piece of hardware from the arcade board (remember--all EXVS titles were System 376, which is a PS3), and has visuals that are distinctly more cartoony than EXVSMBON all point to it being a completely new generation. You also have the Gundam Concierge article posted recently proving that this is a 5th Generation title (EXVS and its derivatives are 4th Generation), as well as the fact that several years back when Maxi Boost first hit arcades the developers said they had no intention of porting Maxi Boost to consoles.

We all assumed that they said this due to ON being released (similar to how NEXT was an arcade-only title, whereas NEXT PLUS was console), but it turns out they weren't kidding.

I don't personally own a PS4, so for me this is a meh. The visuals in the trailer look far too basic, which makes me wonder if maybe they haven't quite let go of Force's mechanics despite Force being a horrendous flop (which they admit in the Gundam Concierge article). I'll keep an eye on it, but I won't hold my breath or anything.
