hm.. i know initial D 4 came out recently, and frankly i loved it even after all the critisms to it.. completed it a few times etc.. even though i never played the previous versions of Initial D..
BUT if/when Initial D 5 comes out what additions or modifications would you think or like it to have compared to the present versions of initial D arcade stage?

personally i hope..
graphics will be even more better (even thought it's great atm)
3 pedals which includes a clutch (optional to use the clutch)
a handbrake
a proper realistic gearbox shifter with gears up to 5/6 instead of just flicking up or down to change gears.

basically just add more realism to the game

i doubt it...v4 so far has been a flunk theres not a large amount of people playing it like id2 id3 and mt3
and realism added to this game = fail if you want realism go play bg4 or go buy a car

Ugh I hate these types of threads but there isn't much reason for me to close them.

My wish list:
1. Revert back to IDAS3 engine. XD
2. Add in courses included on IDAS3 and IDSS.
3. Clutch would be cool but probably not gonna happen.

QUOTE
"just add more realism to the game"

Yeah, because the game is already pretty realistic, huh? I mean, what with defying the laws of physics with an in-in-out line, grinding walls to maximize exit speed, and the fact that the Trueno is absolute god car.

It's very much tailored to the anime. But then again, I forgot how realistic the anime was. smile.gif

does the racing line defy physics?

Real life fastest line = out-in-out
IDAS4 fastest line = in-out-in
Real life fastest drifting line = out-in-out/in-in-out
IDAS4 fastest drifting line = in-out-in

In other words. Yes. IDAS4's racing lines do defy physics. It's common knowledge that the straightest line through the corner should be the fastest.

As for what I'd want for ID5

.Auras that don't look like some sort of gas
.Offline VS battles that affect racer level
.IDAS3 physics with drifting added (just no eraser or TST. Or the n00bs will destroy the shifters)
.The 86 isn't so godly
.I would like it if they actually had some of them over here in Bangladesh.

this is a dumb thread but i will play along..

- NO godly 86 and FD
- Create teams after a certain level. (to control number of team created)
- Aura
- more interactive avatars.. (can imagine the work the programmers will have to go through.. nightmare!!)
- Make the IDAS4 Limited into a realism one.. the real cars..
- the function to create player's replica car in game in a Die Cast form..
- a world tournament!! hahaha!!!

If they do this, its no longer a hobby.. it would be a life style..
?wha?

what would I want.....

- v4 physics with v3 penalties. ie no fking eraser/tst/pc but lose speed when you start sliding

- BeffingGeffingM selection

- AURAS DAMMIT! I wanna see my auras back and going in the middle of a battle!

- A H-box would be cool, just make it so it resembles in theory to a real gearbox and not some flimsy crap MT style ones (I'm prolly not going to have this one fulfilled)

what i want is the same as coastal pretty much except for the clutch
but guys lets not forget there still is 1 patch coming out thats sposed to change the game physics
so some of the features you want in v5 may come to v4.... ie aura and physics more similiar to v3 with proper line
thats all i really want... this entire new game crap is stupid it should atleast be similiar in the physics to what it used to be...because what it used to be was very very fun

i do mean if d mac can b connected worldwide n wit a single press on d battle mode on we can select which country n area to battle ... grin2.gif

i seriously doubt tat they can do it but either than tat of course even wit d normal battle aura tat v had in previous versions wil do for d time being ...

all i want is for the games to have no game exploitation whatsoever.

that means no pc, no eraser, no TST.

then we can start racing normally, and people like me wont be held back by lousy "techniques".

too realistic like BG4 wouldn't be nice. no fun slowing down to 60km/h just to do a hairpin.

--bring back the "lost courses" from IDv3 and IDSpS
--bring back some of the "lost cars" and "lost characters" from IDv3
--a more tolerable and less painful tuning system (210 plays to FT your car burns almost-permanent holes in your wallet)
--an easier way to customize your avatar (obviously no more slot machines)
--battle level/aura system
--a more realistic approach to line concepts and cornering (in-in-out sounds unorthodox enough)
--online battle system (even though this sounds next to impossible)
--IDv3-like physics... with a bit more slide/drift to it (no random understeer points)
--lessen emphasis on stock vs. FT disparity which is so obvious in ID4
--no more godly 86's or FD's (but that doesn't mean a top-ranking 85 either)
--BGM select (too bad i can't use "forever young" or "space love" always in ID4, unlike in IDv3 when i always have "save me" or "fall in the web of desire")

PC can stay as is, that would be fine...

when the next ID coming out i hope it will hav

1:BGM selection
2:ghost battle mode would be nice in every course coz maybe we tired of dealing wif LOTS over and over again
3:bring back all the lost courses...
4:i know this one sound ridiculous...@make somthing like IDV3 in the story mode...which u need to achieve the objective to clear the stage...but we use our own character and avatar in fact of takumi and keisuke
5:add some new cars...high speed and popular ones...

Hmmm.... If Stage 5 really comes, I wish that the car parts (suspension, ECU)can be tuned like those in real life.

To echizenryoma,

If you can fine tune all your parts in your car, your car can gain much better stability and acceleration for different courses and weather. Just like what Tak (Takumi)'s father has done to the AE86. He always maximize the AE86 performance for different battles (not very often). whistling.gif

sadly..
it is juz a dream=x
quite impossible to happen actually...
If the game is actually hard to programme....
Or the game complexity is reallie high..
the cost of one game is gonna hit an all time high too....

Too complicated = $$$$ is involved = no one plays dry.gif
Simple = cheap = pple rather play
Juz like WMMT3....
Simple cheap but fun
ID4
Expensive, a skills game and is olso fun
But the $$$$ factor makes it lose it's shine to WMMT
