the trueno with the new engine has good acceleration at high RPMs, if you don't crash or anything, it is a very fast car...

well it depends on what course you're going to be doing. if you take an R32 or an evo V onto akina with your 86, you should be able to dust them. i've seen a pre-BT 86 (old engine) beat the crap out of a FT R32 on akina dh. i mean it's not a terribly special feat but the 86 can dominate over the evo V and r32.

to my knowledge it does have problems picking up speed, especially if you hit a wall or something.

The 86 has a really big disadvantage, and that's lack of acceleration after hitting a wall really hard. BUT, the 86 also has a really BIG advantage, it's 4th and 5th gears! If you can keep yourself from hitting a wall, it's 4th gear will accelerate so fast, you'll love the car forever, the way I do! laugh.gif

There are a few drivers using it where I live. It's nowhere near as popular as it was in v1, but it still has adherents.

This is just one of those cars that you have to work at, and for that reason alone it'll never be the most popular. It slides a lot (it's supposed to), requiring a lot of countersteering, and it gets pretty unstable at high speeds. Furthermore, it only dominates one run, Akina downhill dry.

Nothing out of the ordinary, really. It was never supposed to be the greatest or most popular car, even in the manga.

(I have one. Just converted to v3; will use occasionally for now.)

i dunno about u guys i see sum noobs picking the trueno as their first car cuz they think its the easiest car to handle with in ver3 then they quit useing them when sum guy with a better car kills them................

i have a trueno in ver3 its pretty good BUT if i hit the wall badly which usually happens to me in ver3 i lose hella speed and i becomes hella hard to get back on track on almost every cours cept myogi usui akina and happo cuz i memorized those courses from ver 1

basically the trueno could be a monster in the hands of a pro........crap to a noob like me.....well i dunno i hope i can get used to the car then ya.........
