well as the title says i would like to find a competitive price for the whole box set, they have it currently on ebay for $90, and i really don't want to by the s.a.v.e. box set from the comments i've read about how the widescreen is even smaller on wide screen tv's, does anybody have a good source to buy it from that isn't torrents or any of the such i would like to get the originals if possible, DVD

Are the original Tokyopop DVDs okay, or do you need the Funimation ones?

This post is old but didn't want to start a new one. Does anybody know if "Initial D Full Throttle Collection" has exactly the same video RAW and sound than those japanese original DVD's that come with two chapters per volume?

It should be exactly the same, since it's put out by Avex and is merely a DVD boxset version of the series.

Though why you would want this insanely expensive DVD set when there are significantly less expensive sets with the same audio/video quality (looking at you, R1 release) is puzzling.

I see. Can you tell me which is the less expensive collection that accomplishes the next points?

Has japanese audio 2.0 (stereo)
Has japanese audio 5.1 (Dolby)
Hasn't got any other audio
Hasn't got any subtitles
Has the original RAW (some stages from funimation collection has modified opening credits with names written in anglosaxon characters)

I don't understand you people. Seriously, you're as bad as Miura Seri and not buying the blurays for AKB0048 because there was a dub track that you'll never ever switch to so why does it matter. facepalm.gif
