So today was the first time playing IDES in a while. When I turned on the system the sound was just fine. But when I popped in the game there was no sound what so ever. All the settings are at their max. Can anyone advise?

So, there's no sound at all, like even the background music in the menus?

In all honesty, that sounds pretty fishy to me.
Have you tried any of your other games?

I don't know why they don't have sound on IDES, that hasn't happened to me before. Long time no see We met on Youtube, talilgangstaboi. Have you bought a new PS3 yet?

Ordered one on Wed, so I'm waiting in the mail for it to come.. I'll be making my return shortly.. its been 320+ days since i played ides.. can't wait.

Did you order a PS3 Phat or Slim? That's good that you're coming back I sent you a friend request during December. I hope you get your PS3 before this upcoming Friday, so we can race, although I already know I am going to lose

You never know... its been so long since I've played.. Meh.. I'm getting a slim.. I'll have to start all over.. so im getting back my baby cars first.

Yeah, that's true but still. I have a PS3 Slim too, although I wish it was backwards compatible like the Phat version. Ohh yeah, well I know you can beat me with stock cars. When'd you order your new PS3 Slim?

Edit: Wait can't you just put the hard drive from your broken PS3 into your new Slim PS3?

I heard that I would have to back up my game data.. I don't think I ever did that.. I mean.. I have the harddrive, but I thought it was a bunch of other stuff that I would have to do.. that and I don't think you can get the save games for Japanese games.

If I could use my old harddrive, please let me know.. x.x; it will save me a-lot of time.. but, going by what others have told me, I don't think I can.

I thought IDES automatically saves the game for you and stores it. I know that it saves your profile's for IDES somewhere in the Game section of the XMB. Just try putting in the old hard drive into your new PS3 once you get it and see if it works

There has to be some way though... Keep looking.

It's still active but it's mostly Japanese players online. But I know there are people from other countries including the US that play IDES.

Well I figured it out turns out that since I moved my PS3 from a standard a/v TV to a high def TV using an HDMI wire, I just needed to fix some settings so I can hear game music. Everything works now and me and my bro are back in business. Our account is DirtyAfroRiver <---lolz. Once the both of us have got our game back we'll be hitting the online so watch out for us Thanks again for the input!

I had a bug where I change everything on controller setup and steering and when I was racing, It was back to regular settings(I check options, same stuff I change eariler) so I save it and same problem. I solve the problem by quitting the game and play it again
