Mangas aren't labeled as 1st Stage, 2nd Stage, etc. That's only for the DVD's. Anything past manga #17 I think is after Third Stage though I believe. They're up to #25 right now.

The mangas are way past the movie. Events in the movie happened in like manga #17. They're up to #25 now.

Any word if they're releasing a different version of the manga later on? I have heard a lot of complaints about the name-changing. Like Itsuki's name has been changed to Itchy or something, I don't remember.

worse than Itchy, it's Iggy.

Tak (original name Takumi)
Iggy (original name Itsuki)
Cole (original name Koichiro)
Natalie (original name Natsuki)
Boss (original name Yuichi)
Ry (original name Ryosuke)
K.T. (original name Keisuke)
Zack (original name Takeshi)
Maya (original name Mako)
Simone (original name Sayuki)
Kyle (original name Kyouichi)
Hawk (original name Seiji)
Aki (original name Wataru)
Carrie (original name Kazumi)

LOL, I would like to see who make up all these names.
It's beyond "worst". dry.gif

Wow, I wonder who gave the "okay" to go ahead and do that. I hope they were fired.

Well, some people say that they heard that there _might_ be some sort of "collectors edition" later on... But personally, judging from the reply I recieved from Tokyopop, it propably wont happen, no.

And yeah, I know. The namechanges were a bad idea. But I'll take what I can get.. And also, I've said it before and I'll say it again, _only_ the names were changed. Nothing else. And it doesn't disrupt the story at all, I find the translated manga very enjoyable so far smile.gif

Though I agree it might be a bit annoying at first, it's just a matter of getting used to it.. And then you'll enjoy it anyways, just as much as you would've enjoyed it without the namechanges. The story is the same, after all smile.gif

Btw, there is a few rather amusing inconsistencies following with the namechanges:

First one: There is absolutely no problem in calling Yuichi, "Boss".. It seems perfectly natural that the guys working at the station calls him that. It's perfectly natural.. Until Bunta comes into the picture. It seems a bit weird that Bunta, of all people, would call Yuichi for "Boss" rolleyes.gif

Second one: Apparantly, they call Keisuke Takahashi for "K.T.". Seems rather logical to me, so I assume that "K" stands for "Keisuke" and "T" stands for "Takahashi". However, for some odd reason, "K.T." has merely become his first name. Which means that in the translated manga, when his full name is pronounced, it's "K.T. Takahashi"... blink.gif
