This announcement is to notify you that section Avatars & Signatures in Forum Guidelines are going to be changed. (01-22-2006)

The width limit will remain as 600pixels. The height limit, however, will be changed from 250pixels to 200pixels. Everything has to be inside that 600x200 space in your signature, with the exception of text (i.e. - quotes) It works like this, each line of text (including empty lines) count as 15pixels. In other words, you can now have 13 lines of text in the signature (13 lines * 15 pixels/line = 195 pixels). For instance, it's okay to have an image that is 120pixels in height with 5 additional lines of text. Basically, everything has to be equal or no more than 200pixels in height.

To find out what the dimension of an image is, simply right click on the image and select Properties. If you have multiple images in your signature, do the math, add them all up and see if they exceed 200pixels in height. We know it's hard to make it exactly 200pixels sometimes, so there will be some leeway (5 ~ 10pixels.) As stated previously, violating the avatar / signature rules will get you actual warned. Please respect the new rules and abide by them. The new signature rules will be in effect starting on January 22nd, 2006. There are temporary marks in your signature to help you better adjust your signature to fit the new regulations.

There will be more minor changes in Forum Guidelines, we'll keep you posted. Be sure to keep checking this thread. All changes should be made within this month. On a last note, we'll be changing the cutoff date for inactive members (accounts with zero posts and have not been logged in.) from one year to six (6)months. Your account will be removed if you have zero posts and have not logged in for the past six (6) months. We'll also be recounting every member's posts on January 27th, 2006. More information on that will be provided later. That's it for now.

Here's to wish everyone to have a good start in 2006 and thanks for all of your continuous support. thumbsup.gif
