um its 5 sets of parts, 7 steps each. where are you located because i know most places everywhere have some sort of unlimited arcade deals which throws out the whole $650. i say 15-25 because of that very fact, each card could have a max value of $25 with the $6 included in that estimate. you'd also have to factor in the whole lack of personalization due to a name already being chosen as well.

Not really reasonable, Axel. I know for our machines, even with game nights, it'd take about a month to full tune one car and at least 60 dollars, 3 cars? I can definitely see 180+ dollars, especially since it probably cost him more than that if he was on a 1.0 machine. Besides, the guy isn't even in the US

Hello no not reasonable, I would buy that for at least $200. Cough up 200 or don't even think about it.

I guess that's the difference between US players and Singapore players.

In Singapore, the non-online version (its rather rare, there's only a couple of arcades now with VER EXP machines since most of them have upgraded to the more expensive version 2.0) goes for $1 Singapore dollars per game.

Like all other VER EXP machines, we're looking at 3 inserts before mods so with 5 rows of engine mods each having 7 steps, that's a total of 35 steps. However, engine mods only happen every 6 inserts since half of them is occupied by accessory mods and as such, the math will be: ( 35 x 6 = 210 ).

As such, us players over at Singapore will spend about $210 + $211 + $211 + $5 + $1 = $638 exactly for a card that consists of 3 full tunes ( you pay $1 to buy a new car and $5 to buy a card and then another $1 to start the game before you buy the card. Remember? ).

Unlike you peeps over in America, we're not getting any rebates or special top up schemes at our arcades so that's $638 (mods alone) of pure hard work and $$$ when it comes to playing initial D.

So using the online exchange rate calculator XE.com, we're looking at:

Thus, I do not think what OP's initial asking price of $650~ Singapore dollars to be unreasonable. That I supposed should be the market rate for ID5 cards be it VER EXP or VER EXP 2.0 since they're essentially the same thing except for the online connection and all it takes to convert a EXP to EXP 2.0 card is a simple insert of one's card.

I still remembered when my friend lost my card the other time and paid me $100 since it was about half tuned. ID5 cards aren't like paying for 2nd hand cars or components...The more tuned cars you have in a card, the more expensive it gets...

489 US$... that's more than my monthly pay. Oh well.

A thought comes up. Would an MT rename trade to an ID card be really fair? I mean a rename's basically a cinch to get. I have yet to hear of any ID renames on the plastic cards.

That means a full-FT EXP card in IDR would be at least... 3750*6*7*6*3 = 2.850.000 IDR... around 300 US$. Holy hell, this piece of thick plastic is even more SRS BSNS than MT cards...

Its alright bro, at least it reminds you of how costly it is to play IDAS5 over here in Singapore and how we should always spend money wisely and pick the right cars and of course improve our run times instead of doing run of the mill bashing around.

In short, play only when you're in the mood to beat records.

Which is why I always only run certain maps and think before I run and change $2 to $5 a time at the arcade to keep myself under limit.

mt renames started with namco banning some of the names in the name thats how it started, thats why id doesn't have renames

& your id card is way over priced cuz an mt cards cost about $20 most with everything done on it which does not include the game u spent or the stars u got on them

& if u think about it now the most u can charge for an id cards is $50 for a card with all 3 cars ft

MT Card i heard they can easily Reset and Setting all the things you need on the Card,Last time someone Sell $20 Tuned to 600HP just give your name and the Car Type you want to them,and they'll done for you,even you Start Game Story mode Story1 already have 600HP,Like Playing Cheating(I saw cause my friend Bought 1..lol..)..

Some more...MT=1Card=1Car=FTalso$250++...and the Card is Like Paper...very easy to Cut off or Tear Off...lol...

1st of all if i have a ft id card then i dun need to ask if anyone wanna trade, plus id cards snap easily while mt cards u can rip it all u want but it still won't tear apart (trust me i have tried) but u just can't use it only way to destroy a mt card is either cut or burn it
