So something I had noticed so far, that during in-store battles. I'd found that my FD3S (Keisuke's) had lower acceleration compared to other cars when battling out at Irohazaka. Usually, I'll lose no matter how hard I try because my FD will NEVER be faster than the other car.

A S2000 beat me with -100m advantage and an 86 beat me with -300m advantage. I slowed down to even 30km/h at the course.

So tell me, was I who sucked? or the FD wasn't meant for Iro..

Note*!! I'd never lost at Nagao! & my FD is FT.

Simple, You had used all you tire boost and that S2K/AE86 players are lot better than you. Mind telling us your IRO and Nagao time?

Impossible.. I'd brake before corners and slowed down to 45-49km/h at every corner just to save boost. And even after the first corner, he seemed to be pulling away.

And that S2000 guy.. we're at the same level I'm sure. I can beat him at Nagao and Akina no problem.

Also that 86.. pulls away even before the first corner comes. I pushed the throttle during the "GO" sign from 0km/h.

EDIT: So far, I haven't had any records of my TA.. but I will try to get a time tomorrow when I visit the arcade again.

I assuming that S2K/AE86 players run 3:05-7 for Iro DH

Wow! thats something new.. with the first gear? I can easily reach 43km/h at the first corner with the second gear thou..

And my car never reaches 115km/h during that stretch after the second corner. Also my car's backup was really awful!

Was that because I'd not use the first gear?

EDIT: I'll see if i can get a time with my FD at Leisure Mall tomorrow..

Not because you didn't use 1st gear , most pros will still use 2nd gear, this is my self develop to suit my driving style.

Then my run is almost as similar to yours.. cept that my car won't back up as fast as yours. I saw your car backs up to 90 in about 2 secs but mine will shamefully take 4..

All my corners are taken at 45-49km/h..

Perhaps was it I'd upgraded to Kyoko's single turbo? Engine step 7?

Uhh, all FDs are upgraded to single turbo, Anime single/twin turbo thing don't apply in the game, this has been discussed before. I have FD type R too, and managed to get 3:06:8xx, all i can say it's not about the car performance :/, even my FC managed to get 3:06:6xx better than my RS record. It's about how much you push your car to the limit.

If its possible.. I'll come up with a video by tomorrow, so you can evaluate. Or not, I'll just let you know the time...

I'll see if I can push myself further.. but how low should I really get? Whats your cornering speed for your FD? And foot work?

My speed /lining for FD should be similar with my 180sx video~*

I almost NEVER corner past 42 before the one turn before the jumps. That's become a staple rule for me.

^ if you had mentioned that before i became inactive, then your iro. dh dry record would have been history...

Please. I didn't reveal every one of my secrets. In fact, I go lower. I'm just not going to mention where that chaotic boundry layer starts and ends.

Just to ask some questions to confirm my statement:

1)Do you step on the gas when turning? (I now this is a dumb question)
2)Is the enemy brake faster than you?
3)Is the enemy's car fully tuned?
4)Do you play boost off or boost on?
5)(This is not a question) No, FD3S is one of the best cars out there... You just need to improve your skill

,yes as of matter of fact, I brake through the whole corner without kissing the guardrails.. It seemed like the enemy brakes faster than I do yes & he is FT too.. Boost on..

well, not really.. I'm usually playing at Leisure Mall. I'm on TS when special occasions comes up.

Meaning your opponent preserve/manage his boost better and he's better, boost on On IRO doesn't really matter somehow, the tires boost still the crucial key. You said you couldn't reach certain speed before 2nd corner, meaning you still doing it wrong.

Ok... my conclusion is that the enemy brakes before going into the turn, and DIDN'T brake during the turn, which you did. This makes your car accelerate slower after the turn...

Try to brake before the turn, and DON'T step on the gas and the brake while turning, then accelerate after you're back on the straights

Alright.. I'll see if that technique works too

EDIT: I'd tried your way just today.. and I notice some differences now. My car sped up faster and managed to outrun my opponent by 100m. Got my first Iro victory.. but I haven't got another shot at the s2000 & the ae86 guy..

ohh KENJI, yeah i seen you before... u played with MARCUS couple of times and your killer course is nagao

nagao...hmmmm..... lol brake at around a wide range before entering the corner so that you may conserve more boost...if battling, i would love to pass the opponent around the last corners...
