Congrats ^^; Edit 1: What are you using to render your videos? Sony Vegas? I have to go through so much just to make my videos for initial d to not skip frames... Whenever I render them through vegas and add sharpness or a different color scheme, the render has random skips.. This post has been edited by TB_InuYasha_X on Mar 19 2011, 04:57 PM |

Thanks TB InuYasha yeah haha. I am just using the M2TS files the software makes. So, I upload the raw videos to Youtube. I am not rendering any of the videos that I upload But I think your videos look better than mine though. Ohh? Well I don't know. I'm sorry. The thing is, I just recently tried to use VBR instead of CBR and I noticed that VBR keeps my quality looking pretty good, but the bad thing is.. it made one of my videos 2.03gb's for just a 3 minute race. x.x; I'm working on bumping my stuff up, but it'll be awhile... if i can't figure out a method, its alright. lol |

Wait? So how did you know I used the raw footage? Because of its quality? That's too much for just one race xD it's going to take forever to upload to Youtube. Yeah, that's good Do you think I should render my videos in Sony Vegas or something? Or is it fine with just being raw?

It's good being raw and all, but sooner or later.. you'll want to add your own soundtrack. ;P It's just hard to figure out the proper render settings for the game on vegas. Some games become complicated when it comes to rendering, sadly.. I thought they would be all the same. The render thing I know of, because I stare at my raw files a-lot. lol

Yeah, that's true. Thanks Well I think I can help you. There's this guy on Youtube that keeps his rendering settings the same and the quality of his videos are pretty good. I think you should check it out, if you haven't already Skip to 4:45

Yeah I know, same here It would be really nice to speak and read Japanese. What did you do in Sony Vegas to get the quality that good? This post has been edited by k0oanz on Mar 22 2011, 08:07 AM

I watched two tutorials and said they both sucked, so I decided to merge them together and make my own rendering style. Took me two days. ^^;

Yeah, I merged that one with another one and then added my own touch to it. That 29 frame thing the other guy was going on about, is not accurate at all. That only works for slow paced games, when you play something that involves a-lot of speed, the frames will skip.

Ohh okay so the guy in my video didn't tell you to use 29 frames right? Or did he? Would you like to share the other video?

The only thing I used from this guy's video was his frames and bit rate.

Like I said in another thread, I don't have any way of recording directly from my PS3, I tried setting it up to my DVR to record, but I couldn't get it to work, so I just put a camera in front of my monitor... Classy, ain't it? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJyy_Mpdg2k This is my fastest run on Irohazaka. If anyone has any tips on how to shave some time off this, let me know! It might be hard to see because of the quality of the video, but the overall time is 2'52"073. |

Haha nice you have a better time than me, although I rarely play the course. You should ask Virus, he's really good on the course. I can help you with your DVR problem. I'll send you a link to a video when I get home.

Thanks! If it helps at all, it's a Motorola DCH6416. We got it with our digital cable. Every time I hit record, it would try to record the cable channel instead of the PS3. I have no idea how to work the thing, since I never watch the TV. This post has been edited by Rogar on Mar 24 2011, 09:08 AM
