this game only works burning it on dvd, sorry...

DVD!! this ISO is for DVD

my dvd burner is on my other computer.


the computer that turns itself off after like 2 minutes of being on... ;_;


damn you comp usa for not fixing that peice of shit.




edit: ok so like, i can't even get the computer to stay on for too long, I managed to get alcohol downloaded on it, but installing it proved kind of troublesome, and I highly doubt I'm gonna get the 20 minutes it takes to burn the disc.. I'll give it a few more tries but I might just have to send one of you a dvd disc and ask you to burn it for me .


edit edit: nevermind, I got my other computer to load alcohol, and then put the ISO on my portable hard drive and connected it up, and burned it off of there. luckily my other computer has a top notch burner and even at 2x it only took like 2-3 minutes to burn.. which is lucky because the comp froze right after it finished burning..


edit edit edit: omfg. this game only has like 10 cars. and no customization like in the arcade. the scenario mode is nice that has a story, but far less fun than say TXR:0 , mission mode is all in japanese so I can't understand it and the missions are pretty pathetic and there's no tuning there. the tuning mode only has 6 levels and you don't get a choice of tuning options really.. i mean, at least initial d on ps2 had the option to do arcade mode like you would at the arcade. and had tuning points and stuff for the car like the arcade.

this game is really weak. it's awesome that it's wangan midnight, but there's just not alot of game play in it... and even though I know the story, playing through mission mode and just scrolling thorugh page after page of text is boring.

kinda disappointing.

I'm not so sure about customizing yet. Almost done clearing Story Mode, just have to beat the game with BlackBird and tuning part is unlocked. I'll keep you guys up to date later on.

yeah I looked it up on gamefaqs.. once you get tuning mode, it's only 6 levels.. and you have to meet the conditions to gain the tuning level.

Mission 1 Body Tune - under 1'10"000;
cannot hit traffic or railings
Mission 2 Aero Tune - under 1'40"000;
cannot hit railings
Mission 3 Engine Tune - Opponent SP = 0
Mission 4 Suspension Tune - under 2'25"000
Mission 5 Muffler Tune - Opponent SP = 0
Mission 6 CP Tune - under 3'30"000


that's the only tuning in the game. there is also no customization whatsoever..

I mean, pretty weak sauce to not be able to build up your own car.. even TXR let you play as a billion cars and you could tune it up like you wanted and then drive around racing whoever you wanted and not just racing whoever was in front of you.. wangan midnight as a game is great, but the ps2 version was very poorly executed.

hey guys, is this game still active? I have never burned a ps2 game yet and I havent played anything in a while, so its collecting dust.

is there anything that needs to be done to an american ps2? do I need a mod chip? and if so, there are external usb mod chips right? Id rather not open it and hack it up. because I dont know what the heck im doing.

anyways my laptops burner is only 8x, real slow so I'll need to use my sisters comp to burn it, lol.

I recently got ahold of a modded PS2 and I want to play game again after a 3 year hiatus. There are NO SEEDS for the piratebay torrent even though the page says there are.

alright... this'll be my first post (maybe the last too), i know i'll revive this post but i think it worth. so torrent is not working, no seeders anymore, i've found another 6xx mb copy of the game. For Those Who Still Wants The Game.

So what will you do to play? it's japanese game, but if you have us or european ps2? first, you donmt need any fliptop or modchip. (if you have modded ps2, pass the step 5.)

1. search "swap magic" from isohunt (where i've found) (if you think you don't have money or time to buy ^^) then download the DVD version. (also i suggest you to use utorrent software for downloading)

2. now download the alcohol120 from its original site. yes, trial version, you don't need the full version.

3. now you'll need dvd's to burn swap and the game. you must use a DVD+R Not a +RW

4. now open the alcohol, select image burning, select swap magic iso, then burn it with 2x (4x if you can't 2x. but dont get higher than that.) burn the dvd, then make the same thing for burning the game.

5. when you finish burning swap and the game(s), first thing to do is watch this two useful tutorials to mod your ps2. (i'm sorry this mod tuto is just for ps2 slim, if you have fat ps2, there's lot of another tutorial for that.)
