Anyone here watch WWE? or that new NWTA? the one owned by jeff jarret(Double J to those who remember?).

I was thinking about it today and I wish they'd make DX come back into WWE cause that was possibly the funniest time in WWE.

Posted by: Smiley_DC2 Oct 25 2004, 01:24 PM
Double J Jeff Jarrett sucks! Even Chyna whooped his sorry ass!

WWE's not that great atm .. no Stone Cold (retired), no Lesnar, no Goldberg, no Rock .. crying2.gif

Oh and Bradshaw as WWE Champ? WTF!?

Posted by: Jsan? Oct 25 2004, 01:33 PM
Isnt that on smackdown though? don't you get RAW down there?

Posted by: Luken Oct 25 2004, 01:34 PM
smack down manchester!!!! got to love the british fans

Posted by: Jsan? Oct 25 2004, 01:36 PM
Someone ran out during the RAW in the UK though LOL in manchester where iam born LOL. He tried to get into the ring they didn't show it but i BARELY managed to see him jump over and then run into the ring either micheals or Edge tossed him out.

Yeah we get both shows here in Sydney .. Triple H as Heavyweight Champ .. again? (BORING! ~ even more than Lance Storm .. maybe)

heh did anyone see King of the Ring 97 (i think it was) where it was Stone Cold vs HBK and Stone Cold was beating the crap outta HBK early in the match, then a retarded kid (no joke) jumped over the railing and tried to help HBK!! hahaha they had to stop the match and everything for a while ... hehehe laugh.gif

anyways, which show do y'all prefer? Smackdown or RAW?

ill vote RAW on this one! Benoit, HBK, etc ... much better roster and storylines going on there

Posted by: Jsan? Oct 25 2004, 01:58 PM
RAW cause like i said TRIPLE H ruins us all LOL! EVOLUTION is the greatest. But no one will ever top Degeneration X for comedy purposes.

Posted by: Smiley_DC2 Oct 25 2004, 02:01 PM
That's true! But only the old school DX with HHH and HBK .. it got too watered down when X-Pac (sucks), Road Dogg and Billy Gunn joined .. although i always enjoyed when they mocked the Nation of Domination and the Corporation!!!

Quote Triple H as The Rock - "the rock just came from the bathroom and wooo! you should've smelt what the rock was cookin' .... see when the rock tries to get with the ladies and hits rock bottom .. he has no choice but to lay the smackdown on himself!"

laugh.gif

the funniest ever!!!!

Posted by: Jsan? Oct 25 2004, 02:02 PM
Tell me you remember their assult on WCW when they were both in Atlanta LOL!!!!!!!!!! They were trying to get into WCW's event LOL!

Posted by: Smiley_DC2 Oct 25 2004, 02:25 PM
Yup i have it on dvd as it was discussed candidly on WWE Confidential Volume 1 and the Monday Night Wars DVDs!!!

I have like over 50 WWE dvd's of various pay-per-view events to biographies and specials!!!

Ok lets launch another direction for this WWE thing .. what do u think were some of the best rivalries, matches and storylines ever featured (this is open to WCW as well)?

best rivalries:
- undertaker vs. kane
- austin vs. bret hart
- hbk vs. bret hart (can anyone here say Survivor Series 1997!!! ~ WWE confidential dvd features HBK confessing to his knowledge about the screw job and all)
- rock vs. triple h
- benoit vs. angle
- austin vs. mcmahon

best matches:
- bret hart vs hbk (ironman match - wrestlemania XII ~ best ever)
- mankind vs. undertaker (hell in a cell - king of the ring 1998)
- hogan vs. rock (wrestlemania X8)
- austin vs. rock (wrestlemania XV and X-7)
- undertaker vs. kane (wrestlemania 14 and inferno match unforgiven 1998)

best storyline:
- DX (old school and new members in 1998)
- corporation vs. ministry of darkness
- wwe vs. wcw/ecw invasion
- NWO original run back in 1996 or whenever it was

Posted by: But she looked 18 officer Oct 25 2004, 02:30 PM
lol its been a long time since I watched this shit. lol
"- bret hart vs hbk (ironman match - wrestlemania XII ~ best ever)" heh I remember that one and a handfull of others after that... fear2.gif HBK owns. tongue.gif

other then that I have no idea wtf you guys are talking about.. lol

Posted by: Smiley_DC2 Oct 25 2004, 02:33 PM
all good man .. IMO wrestling (storylines, matches, and all) kinda went stale after 1998

nothing beats the classics, hell i remember Wrestlemania 1 in madison square garden with Hogan & Mr. T vs. Roddy Piper & Paul Orndorff

Posted by: Jsan? Oct 25 2004, 02:34 PM
Are you old enough to remember that man? LOL!

Posted by: Smiley_DC2 Oct 25 2004, 02:37 PM
hehehe well i was born in 84 (WM 1 was in 85) .. but thankfully my local video store had an enormous wrestling video collection! laugh.gif

ive bought heaps from them and others as ex-rentals! wink2.gif

I remember when uhh.. whatshisface and hisnewpuppetman suposivly dug up the coffins of the Undertakers parents and brought them to to the arena. I meen.. cmon. lol!!
Ways always a few good chuckles with pro-rasling. smile.gif

Posted by: Smiley_DC2 Oct 25 2004, 02:39 PM
u talking about Paul Bearer and Kane?

ohh another great match - Hardy Boyz vs Edge and Christian vs Dudley Boys (TLC match)

Posted by: Jsan? Oct 25 2004, 02:42 PM
AHEM RAZOR RAMON VS SHAWN MICHEALS LADDER MATCH ORIGINAL LATER MATCH. Iam done..........

Posted by: Smiley_DC2 Oct 25 2004, 03:18 PM
Yes that was a great match too!

another good one - Austin vs. Bret Hart (submission match - wrestlemania 13 with ken shamrock as referee)

Posted by: GAARA Oct 26 2004, 08:30 AM
I watch all different organizations. I am one of the most knowlegable people when it comes to pro wrestling. I have been watching since the 80's. I watched WWE, WCW, NWA TNA, ECW(the shit), XPW, some New Japan, and FMW. Those japanese matches are really what its all about. Those deathmatches will send shivers down ur spine. But in the U.S. I really liked TNA becuase there is so many innovatative moves. For those who watch TNA, how do u guys feel about the Canadian Destroyer? I love that move, for those who don't know, that is a flip piledriver. U have to see it to beliveve it. Well back on topic, my favorite match is the hell in a cell with the Undertaker Vs. Mick Foley(Mankind), that match was awesome. I also liked when Kane first came.

I definitely know it is fake but it is tight what some of these guys can do. Smiley_DC2, hope u enjoy those japanese wrestling tapes, those are awesome.

Posted by: Sikarian Oct 26 2004, 01:41 PM
I'll admit that these actors are really physically adept, but they arn't that great at acting.

I was flippin through the channels and it was on, and this guy goes "IF YOUTOUCH ME THOSE POLICE MEN RIGHT THAR ARE GOING TO ARREST YOU". And they had some guy in security outfits right next to the ring. Dude walks over, punches the guy repeatedly in the face. Officer just stands there.

I mean come on, at least have the officer try to break it up and then the wrestler beat up the officer.

Lame ass scripts

Posted by: Smiley_DC2 Oct 26 2004, 01:44 PM
yep i hear u 100% - after all u got wrestlers coming in from the olympics (kurt angle - 96 gold medallist, mark henry), UFC (dan severn and ken shamrock), as well as other top elite athletics competition ~ not to mention all the awesome japanese and lucha libre high flying stuff that is almost breathtaking to watch

thanks Gaara, looking forward to the hardcore japanese stuff .. ive already been able to watch some of the new japan wrestling (some of chris benoit's early matches - as extras on his dvd), and i thought they were awesome, it was also interesting to see the japanese audiences as they are much different to american and other spectators

I think the real question is whats your favorite Degeneration X moment!

When the launched a assult on WCW.. I couldn't stop laughing for the entire 2 hours of RAW.

Posted by: Smiley_DC2 Oct 26 2004, 02:10 PM
tombstone was always the best .. besides he couldnt do the last ride to everybody anyways .. remembers back on raw taker vs. rikishi, he tries last ride and OMG he cant do it and gets back dropped in the process

i love it when kane did it though, such a naturally strong guy he could do it to anybody .. even did it to vadar (speaking of which, that was a pretty good rivalry)

*high fives Jasan and Phome* cool.gif

Posted by: Jin Oct 26 2004, 02:13 PM
wonders what happened to ken shamrock?
imo, taboo tuesday was kinda dissapointing
hbk could have won, edge screwed him
kane was beaten, not cool
benoit vs la resistance? whipee

Posted by: Smiley_DC2 Oct 26 2004, 02:17 PM
Shamrock's last WWE (then WWF) appearance was back in '99 .. which was shortly after Jericho arrived (coz they had a minor rivalry), after that i never heard from him ... he did however, return to UFC .. dunno if he's still there .. last i heard he got his ass whooped by Tito Ortiz .. poor guy .. i always liked Shamrock and didnt think he got the push in wrestling he deserved ... he had all the tools to be champ IMO

ANKLE LOCK - ARGH!

added - he was at his peak in '98 before he joined the Corporation IMO ... pity he did leave, would've loved to see him in a submission match up against a kurt angle or chris benoit

Shamrock = submission master

Posted by: APX Oct 26 2004, 06:27 PM
ok, ok... can i get in to this also? I loved the Hell in the cell match between Mankind and Undertaker.... badass match. And yeah, the story lines got kinda crappy after 99/2000. I liked Stone Cold.... likes flipping the bird at people and stunning their asses also.

Posted by: Smiley_DC2 Oct 26 2004, 06:41 PM
the first Hell in an Cell match was a great one too - HBK vs. Taker (and Kane if u wanna be accurate)

the Stone Cold era will never be repeated again, his time in 1998 after winning the title was one of the best times to be a rasslin' fan!

Posted by: APX Oct 26 2004, 06:43 PM
As stone cold would say.... WHAT?!

Posted by: Smiley_DC2 Oct 26 2004, 06:47 PM
i love it when people use the chop on their opponent and the crowd goes "Wooooooo!"

i remember a handicap match back on Judgement Day 2002 where it was Stone Cold vs. Ric Flair & Big Show and during the match Austin and Flair were having a chop battle .. everytime Flair would chop, the crowd would go "Wooooooo!" and everytime Austin would chop, the crowd would go "What!?" .. it was "Wooooo!", "What!?", "Woooooo!", "What!?" for like 2 minutes!

Posted by: APX Oct 26 2004, 07:00 PM
Hahahaha.... i gotta see that match.... ok a quick question.... how long do you think Flair will be in the WWE??

Posted by: Smiley_DC2 Oct 26 2004, 09:22 PM
i dont see Flair wrestling actively on the roster after 2005 IMO

U wanna know what happened to Ken Shamrock? Here is a Brief history of what happened after he left the WWE

Went back to MMA(Mixed Marital Arts), and in 2000 got pwned by Kazuyuki Fujita in PrideFC, then in 2003 went on to become NWA TNA's Champion. After losing the belt to Ron "The Truth" Killings(WWE fans know him as K-Kwik), he went back to the UFC only to get pwned by Tito Ortiz in a three round massacre at UFC 41 I think it was.

What were some of ur favorite wrestlers from the 80's? I used to like Demolition, any of u guys remember them? Or Rick Rude, the Ultimate Warrior, the natural disasters, or ted diabase? Outside of the WWE, my favorite legends would have to be Sting, The Great Muta(now going by Keji Muto, his real name, one phenominal wrestler in New Japan Pro and in WCW), Jushin Liger(might be in the benoit DVD with the mask that had horns on it), Abdullah the Butcher, Mitsuhiro Matsunaga, Mr. pogo, Hyabusa, Stan Hansen, and Vader

Posted by: Smiley_DC2 Oct 26 2004, 10:22 PM
Thanks for the in depth in Shamrock (i totally forgot about the whole TNA thing)

Yeah the Chris benoit DVD features 3 of his matches from New Japan wrestling, in which he was wrestling as the Pegasus Kid (masked) and later on as Wild Pegasus (un-masked) .. the matches are against Jushin Thunder Liger (as u mentioned Gaara), Black Tiger (Eddie Guerrero), and the Great Sasuke ~ all awesome awesome matches i might add!

Favourite wrestlers from the 80s - Ultimate Warrior, Jake The Snake Roberts, the Big Bossman (in his cop attire), Hulk Hogan, and Andre The Giant .. i didnt watch too much back in that day .. i really got into it in the early 90s .. then later on (and since then) in the late 90s

added - another classic match - Hulk Hogan vs. Ultimate Warrior at Wrestlemania 6 (IC Champ vs. Heavyweight Champ)

added x 2 - the need to re-release that Legends of Wrestling game and let friggin THQ do it! That would be the ultimate - esp if they can hook up all the original entrance music and all ~ WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Posted by: GAARA Oct 26 2004, 11:29 PM
Here are my moder day versions of classic wrestlers

Chris Benoit is todays version of the Dynamite Kid
La Resistance is todays version of the Regeau Brothers
JBL and Orlando Jordan are todays version of the Million Dollar Man and Virgil
The hardy boys were like the Rockers in a way

That is all I can think of now.

some others to be added to the list

Big Show = Andre the Giant

Can't argue with that match. But, I remember in like 1998 or some time around there, The Ultimate Warrior made a comeback to WCW and confronted Hogan as a storyline. He gave some speech in front of hogan that was like 30mins long, the guy just wouldn't shut up. Then they had what had to be one of the worst matches of all time in WCW.

Yeah i remember that re-match (WCW Halloween Havoc 1998) .. horrible horrible match .. another stinker that comes to mind is Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg at Wrestlemania XX .. so much hype and would've been an awesome match if it was planned and executed right but NO - big big disappointment mad.gif

i hate it when they totally screw stuff up, even on intention .. like when it was Goldberg vs. Bret Hart for the WCW title and Roddy Piper came out and rang the bell when Hart had Goldberg in the Sharpshooter to make him win the title and (in a way) reverse what happened to him back in Survivor Series 1997 against HBK ... no one cared really and it ruined a great title match ~ come to think of it, i think that was the match that Goldberg put Bret Hart out in .. it wasnt an immediate effect but a mule kick from Goldberg to Hart in that match inflicted the injury that eventually forced Hart to retire

U know who I honestly miss seeing in the ring? Taz, I missed his style back in the ECW days. His bone crunching suplexs, if some one could make u say "Ohhh" with a suplex it would be him. I miss his matches with guys like Sabu, mike awesome, and Bam Bam Bigelow. I remember his first match with Bam Bam, he slapped on his submission, and Bam Bam fell back and they went through the ring! Then their second match(which I have, unedited) Taz tornado DDT'ed Bam Bam through the entrance ramp that was there at Heatwave 98', now that was a classic PPV.

If u watched ECW, he was the shit. I remember when back in 96', he f'ed up Chris Jericho. I remember in 2000, He choked out Tajiri with some barb wire. Taz was gay as a WWE wrestler, but one of the most entertaining guys in ECW.

Posted by: Smiley_DC2 Oct 28 2004, 09:22 PM
I never really got to see Taz in his ECW hayday .. but i always hated what WWE did with him ... esp. that stupid rivalry he had with Jerry 'The King' Lawler ... what will they think of next?

I've only been able to see some of the later ECW PPVs before they ended, with RVD and all .. which i enjoyed but im sure was not as good as when Taz was still dominating.

I did see when Chris Benoit crippled Sabu (another Chris Benoit DVD reference, they showed that match and DAMN its almost sickening to watch) pinch2.gif

Taz was kinda ok when he first came to WWE coz he was much like his character in ECW -> da human suplex machine ... i loved his debut match against kurt angle .. his T-Bone and Gargoyle suplexes were my first time to witness those maneuvers and man they were awesome. Unfortunately that was probably his only good match in WWE.

It's pretty sad to me when WWE get awesome talent and just dont know what to do with them .. i guess a main reason is that WWE has pretty much every great player in the game today and that there are only so many guys (and gals) who can be the main players and be in the spotlight .. some examples of good talent and their crappy WWE storylines (IMO) include:
- Taz (read above - him and Jerry Lawler)
- Perry Saturn (his thing with Moppy ~ WTF!?)
- Diamond Dallas Page (1st as the stalker of Undertaker's wife, then as a motivational speaker ~ that's not a bad thing .. that's a good thing!)

got any others? please share!!! wink2.gif

I forgot, the ultimate warrior will not come back because, when he did, it was one of the worst things to happen. The Legion of Doom also is no more, if u remember, it was either last year or this year, but Hawk (Seiji) died. And Smiley_DC2, every ECW ppv was pretty much good, but their years were 98 and 99. most of the guys u saw in 2000 were also there, like RVD. U have to watch heatwave 98' that was soo good, u will love the RVD match on there where he teams up with Sabu to take on Japans Hayabusa and Jinsei Shinzaki(aka Hakushi in the WWE, the guy with the japanese writing all over his body), that had to be one of the best matches period.

Garra, yeah i remember Hakushi .. i think he was the guy who broke X-pac's (then as the 1-2-3 kid) neck. Also its funny u mention entertainment value (Sandman reference), coz last night after work i was watching Survivor Series 1997 (on VHS of course) and was thinking of all time greats in various categories like that, here's an example and my suggestions (the list isnt complete of course but here's a start):

Best Entertainers: Hulk Hogan, The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels, Undertaker, Sgt Slaughter, Macho Man Randy Savage, Rowdy Roddy Piper

Best Pure Technical Wrestling Skills: Ric Flair, Bret Hart, Chris Benoit, Kurt Angle, Triple H, Ricky Steamboat

Best in Overall Strength: British Bulldog (RIP ~ always loved his classis vertical suplexes where he'd hold the opponent straight up for 2 seconds before slamming them down and even did it to people such as Psycho Sid and Vadar), Brock Lesnar (F5 to the Big Show ~ no questions), Big Show and Ander the Giant (based on their size of course), Goldberg (his Jackhammer on Big Show and Reese ~ OMG)

Best Entrance: HBK (Wrestlemania 12), Stone Cold (Wrestlemania 13), Undertaker (Wrestlemania 17)

Best Tag Teams: Legion Of Doom, Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff, Hardy Boyz, Dudley Boys, New Age Outlaws

ECW would've been even greater if they had the financial backing and promotion that WWE had and still has .. i believe there is still a demand for hardcore wrestling and the fact that it is close to non-existant these days in WWE fuels that demand .. why'd they have to get rid of the hardcore title anyways!? grrrr! mad.gif

i miss seeing the Van-Daminator ~ awesome awesome move. And since the ECW ring was smaller than the WWE ring, RVD would get so much hangtime on his 5-Star Frog Splashes! fear2.gif

Posted by: APX Oct 30 2004, 09:39 PM
Hell yeah the Van-Daminator kicked ass. ECW was way better than WWF/E

Well I have always been a fan of Wrestling and watched what ever I can. I'm surprised that no one has metioned anything about the Rock n Roll Express, The midnight express, DOOM, teh Skyscrapers, or the Somoan Swat Team. All were Old School NWA Teams. I also love anything that had to do with hardcore or japanese wrestling, It justed looked so tight. Hell, I even watched some Mexican Wrestling, my favorite had to be La Parka there.

Posted by: Smiley_DC2 Nov 1 2004, 05:04 AM
I didnt get a chance to watch a lot of the great 80s wrestling and wrestlers, so yeah unfortunately i did miss out on a lot of the legends in the game.

Anyways back to the present, gonna pre-order WWE Smackdown vs. RAW tomorrow .. it should be out sometime around the end of the month, which is just in time for when my exams for this semester are to finish! w00t2.gif

Not WWE related, but I watched the TNA ppv today and all I got to say is that the X division gauntlet was awesome and the Candian Destroyer pwns all other moves there are out there. For those who don't know, the Candian Destroyer is a flip piledriver, u have to see it to believe it.

Canadian Destroyer aye? Sounds cool, hope to check it out sometime (i.e. watch a clip, not have it done to me pinch2.gif )

- Randy Orton, Chris Benoit, Maven & Chris Jericho vs. Edge, Batista, Triple H & Gene Snitsky (Classic Survivor Series Match) + Team Orton

I don't watch wrestling, so I'm doing this because I'm bored, and I'm going to see how funny the results are from a outsiders POV.

Matches:
- JBL vs. Booker T (WWE Championship Match) ~ Booker T

*Sounds like Mr. T

- Undertaker vs. Heidenreich - Heidenreich

*Sounds like Heineikin beer or whatever. Definately the guy sounds retarded. And since even I know who undertaker is, the other guy must win.

- Shelton Benjamin vs. Christian (Intercontinental Championship Match) - Christian

*He's white. Right? God will save him. He's a honest player.

- Trish Stratus vs. Lita (WWE Women's Championship Match) - Lita

*Met one at one of those modelling things, the other sounds like a pita bun. Pita bun wins.

- Spike Dudley vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Billy Kidman vs. Chavo Guerrero (Cruiserweight Title Match) - Chavo Guerrero

*Correct me if I'm wrong, but something tells me this damn show is based on sterotypes, and using sterotypes, I say the mexican will steal the win. In a classy matidor fashion. With a low rider. Or something like that. Or get deported.

- Randy Orton, Chris Benoit, Maven & Chris Jericho vs. Edge, Batista, Triple H & Gene Snitsky (Classic Survivor Series Match) - Team Orton

*Team Orton, because if I said the other team, I wouldn't know which name to put...Team Snitsky? I don't know who cares.

- Eddie Guerrero, Big Show, Rob Van Dam & (partner not revealed yet) vs. Kurt Angle, Luther Reigns, Mark Jindrak & Carlito Carribean Cool (Classic Survivor Series Match) - Team Guerrero

*One guy sounds like a zorro with a taco hat, another ... sounds big, then one guy is a rip off of john claud van dam, and well they even have a mystery partner, obviously that beats the other team which only has one person with a name that your average american white mother won't give to her child, Carlito Carribean Cool. So 4 vs 1. Team Guerrero wins!!!

If your a wrestling fan and am offended by this, sorry. BUt it's just coming from someone who's only heard of guys like The Rock ( movies and SNL hilarious I say ) Stone Cold Steve Austin ( I had no clue why every elementary kid was shouting 3:16 ) Under Taker ( I don't even know how he looks like, I just hear him, what the hell is he? Because being a undertaker most likely doesn't get you on stage and jillions of dollars ) and ummm Goldberg because some kid in high school tried to immitate his lil bull attack. Then hit the wall with his head. I'll always thank wrestling for weeding out the stupid people. It's like...the artificial way of natural selection. So ironic, but even more ironic is that it works.

Hilarious I say smile.gif

For me:
JBL vs. Booker T (WWE Championship Match) ~ Booker T
*Booker MUST win. He wasn't as feared as in WCW*
- Undertaker vs. Heidenreich - Undertaker
*DUH*
- Shelton Benjamin vs. Christian (Intercontinental Championship
Match) - Shelton Benjamin
*Shelton's a good wrestler and needs a belt*
- Trish Stratus vs. Lita (WWE Women's Championship Match) - Trish Stratus
*Trish because Lita just came back from the baby thing*
- Spike Dudley vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Billy Kidman vs. Chavo Guerrero (Cruiserweight Title Match) - Rey Mysterio
* Rey's entertaining*
- Randy Orton, Chris Benoit, Maven & Chris Jericho vs. Edge, Batista, Triple H & Gene Snitsky (Classic Survivor Series Match) - Team HHH
* Triple H will own us all*
- Eddie Guerrero, Big Show, Rob Van Dam & (partner not revealed yet) vs. Kurt Angle, Luther Reigns, Mark Jindrak & Carlito Carribean Cool (Classic Survivor Series Match) - Team Guerrero
*Angle sucks so Eddie should get it.*

- Booker T deserves it big time .. besides JBL has held the belt for long enough .. so Booker T can be the champ again

- hate to break it to ya kid but Shelton Benjamin is the champ and has the belt! he's the one defending! laugh.gif

- Lita's baby thing was obviously fake .. any woman who's miscarriaged would not return to physical activity as soon as she has .. there was no baby (its just like the story they pulled with Terri Runnels back in 98 where she was supposedly pregnant with Val Venis and ended up losing the baby)

edit @ supahnewbie - are u saying that wrestling fans are idiots? sure there are hardcore fans that take things too seriously and far and sure they may be idiots but that shouldnt stereotype every wrestling fan as being stupid

Ah whoops! It's delayed here for 1 month so I'm not so sure on some things.
And the baby thing wa the worst storyline since the Katy Vick one (Ironically both included kane) smile.gif

Posted by: Smiley_DC2 Nov 9 2004, 04:34 AM
i hate what they've done with Kane .. they've seriously ruined him!

Should've at least let him keep his mask and bad-ass attitude .. he was ruthless in his rivalry against Vadar ~ mashed his face with a giant wrench after tombstoning him to win the match

Just to inform everyone who's unaware .. the ECW DVD will feature bonus matches, they are:
The Pit Bulls vs. Raven & Stevie Richards
Rey Mysterio Jr. vs. Psicosis
Mikey Whipwreck vs. The Sandman
2 Cold Scorpio vs. Sabu
Tommy Dreamer vs. Raven
Tazz vs. Bam Bam Bigelow
Rob Van Dam vs. Jerry Lynn

also to note, the DVD duration is 6 hours and will be over 2 discs

btw .. i just bought the Summarslam 2004 DVD and has anyone had the chance to see any of the promotion ads WWE did for it? funny funny stuff ~ got WWE stars doing olympic events and all (i.e. olympics being the summer games .. links with summerslam .. yeah u get the pic) .. anyways all the ads were extras on the DVD .. hehe my fav was Batista doing his version of floor gymnastics freestyle and he starts breakdancing! laugh.gif

On that ecw dvd the best matches I would say are rey vs. psicosis, taz(the way it was spelled in ecw)vs. bam bam, maybe rvd vs jerry lynn. They should have added any rvd vs sabu match, sabu vs. terry funk in the barbwire match, any dudley boys match vs. balls mahony and one of his partners, any thing that had to do with rvd and sabu as tag champs, and any new jack match.

Posted by: APX Nov 12 2004, 11:20 AM
New jack was badass.

Thanks Smiley. I hate Evolution so I might change it to Mick Foley or Eddie Guerrero. I think the most saddest match was Eddie Vs. Chavo Guerrero (Royal Rumbe 2004). A family tragedy. Or Kane Vs. the Undertaker (wrestlemania XX).
"I buried the Undertaker alive at Survivor Series. The Undertaker is dead, dead, dead, dead, DEEEEEAAAAAAADDD!!!!!"

Anyways i'm watching Summerslam 95 atm .. talk about sad matches everywhere - Barry Horowitz vs. Body Donna Skip and Bertha Faye vs. Alundra Blayze .. pinch2.gif

Hey, ever went tohttp://www.wrestlecrap.com/? That  website is so cool(like Carlito Carribean Cool laugh.gif ). It covers the crappiest things ever to be presented in wrestling.

Just checked out that site, funny funny stuff - thanks for the link.

for anyone who hasn't been it to, all the archived crappy wrestling stuff is at this specific link ~ http://www.wrestlecrap.com/oldinductions.html ~ the forums at the site is cool too, John Tenta (aka - Earthquake and Oddity Golga) is a regular there and answers questions when he gets the chance!

other crappy wrestling stuff to add to their list (add some more to the list everyone!!!):
- Mean Street Posse - remember Shane O'Mac's old school friends and their attempts to break up Test's engagement with Stephanie McMahon .. they had very annoying entrance music too
- Christopher Nowitski - wow just what wrestling needed ~ a Harvard grad! im glad edge broke his nose .. cruel i know but he wasn't appealing to begin with
- Droz & Prince Albert - a cross dresser and tattoo artist .. interesting combination ya .. honestly, feel sorry for Droz being paralysed though sad.gif
- Los Boriquas - heheh rapping latino dudes, i remember those 'shave your back' chants ... Savio Vega should've stayed as a singles competitor
- Gilberg - funny as hell but a lame poke of fun at Goldberg .. heh i remember WCW also had a mini-Goldberg during the rivalry with Chris Jericho
- nWo the later days - originally it was cool as hell but got boring as they gathered more and more and more members .. was also commented by alot of big names as one of the factors leading to WCW's demise
- Mordocai - horrible religious fanatic angle
- HLA!!! - nothing wrong with hot lesbian action, but it doesnt mix well with wrestling .. funny as hell when 3 Minute Warning bashed up the lesbians
- dean malenko's crush on lita storyline - dean malenko is such a gifted wrestler, but was never properly used by WWE
- disco inferno and alex wright - stupid gimmick, hated their dancing and music

best moments:
- DX invades WCW (yup i know this is a fav or urs Jasan!!) - DX dressed in army uniform and all launch their assault literally by commandeering a tank and jeep ~ triple h is funny as hell
- DX mockery - loved them making fun of the corporation and nation of domination .. classic stuff, which carried over to The Rock mocking everyone (on Kurt Angle: "Hi im kurt angle, tonight im gonna have a big glass of milk and a cookie!" ... on Stone Cold: "Im stone cold steve austin, im gonna have a couple beers, hop in my pick up truck and listen to some backstreet boys" ... on Scott Hall: "Yo chico, Razor Ramon!")
- Stone Cold era - best time to watch PPVs and the TV shows, loved his antics on Vince McMahon
- Hulk Hogan - nuff said, he's the ultimate icon in pro wrestling ever, brother!

all i can think of now .. will add more later pinch2.gif

Hulk hogan vs Andre the Giant was not wrestlemania 8 it was wretlemania 3. Andre wasn't around for wretlemania 8 otherwise we may have seen something with him and the undertaker. BTW I think Andre was around 500 or a little less. And I agree with Moebius, new school undertaker sucks balls. He started to suck to me when he became a biker.

U are talking about Brian Lee(he was the undertaker with the million dollar man), who eventually went ECW. Too bad for me I only liked the undertaker when he first came to the WWE and when he came back to fight the other undertaker. Funny how I remember him back in WCW(NWA in those days) with Teddy Long as Mean Mark Callous and how he got the crap beaten out him by Lex Lugar at one of the ppv's.

Taker was also awesome during the time when Kane first appeared and they had their rivalry and some great matches, such as Wrestlemania 14 (3 tombstones!!), the inferno match, etc

i didn't like him during the whole ministry of darkness thing with vinnie mac as the 'greater power'

his american bad-ass thing wasn't bad either, his match with HHH at wrestlemania 17 was one to remember

Posted by: WRX DEMON Type R Jan 5 2005, 08:33 PM
Hey, i was watching the other night's Raw, you know the one where Battista was fooling around with Triple H - joking with him and all - and I noticed two tattoos on his left arm...

He's got Akuma's symbol and Evil Ryu's symbol on his arm!!!

My brother and I have a new favourite wrestler.

Anyone else notice that?

Posted by: GAARA Jan 5 2005, 09:27 PM
^^ Never noticed that. I have to say that I like the character of Muhammad Hassan. That guy and his manager have very good mic skills. He is a very interesting wrestler to me.

Posted by: Smiley_DC2 Jan 5 2005, 10:51 PM
Batista's a friggin monster, much more intimidating than Goldberg and even Lesnar IMO

won't be surprised if he walks away with the gold (pissin HHH of in the process just like randy orton did)

My picks to win the matches.
ELIMINATION CHAMBER FOR THE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP: TRIPLE H vs. batista vs. edge vs. randy orton
vs. chris jericho vs. chris benoit (Shawn Michaels as guest referee)- Edge ( I don't know why. I just want him to be WHC)

WOMEN's Championship: Lita vs. Trish Stratus-Lita

Kane vs. Gene Snitsky- Kane ( look waht tey've done to him. He should at least win this)

INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP : SHELTON BENJAMIN VS. MAVEN Personally I'd rather have Christian challenge but I pick Shelton Benjamin

WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP : WILLIAM REGAL & EUGENE VS. CHRISTIAN & TYSON TOMKO- Christian (liked him since he changed his music and had the Survivor Series match)

Jerry "The King" Lawler VS. Muhammad Hassan- Muhammad Hussan (Hate Lawler)

apologies for the sudden subject change, but do you guys think The Rock will ever return on a full time basis?

im actually surprised he's been gone for as long as he has, but i guess i shouldn't be since he's hot property in Hollywood these days!

wrestling's just not the same without him, besides he still has unfinished business with evolution after losing at last year's wrestlemania ~ hmmm, maybe he can come back for another match at wrestlemania 21

damn guess he won't be returning for quite sometime .. here's a list of scheduled movies he has lined up for filming:

Gridiron Gang (2006) (announced) .... Sean Porter
Johnny Bravo (2005) (announced) .... Johnny Bravo
Spy Hunter (2005) (pre-production) .... Alec Sects
Instant Karma (2005) (filming)
Doom (2005) (filming) .... Sarge
Be Cool (2005) (completed) .... Elliot Wilhelm

WTF?!?!

He's playing Johnny Bravo???! Spy Hunter too?

BTW, is that Battista that he is Rock-bottoming in that picture?

Cuz if you all look carefully on battista's left arm there - you'l see what i was talking about - with the Akuma and Evil Ryu symbols.

(He must be a street fighter fan).

EDIT:

Here's a good pic of what i was talking about.

yep that's big ol batista being rock bottomed in the pic, and interesting about batista's tats .. ive always known they were there but never really made the connection to akuma and evil ryu cool.gif

edit - WWE NEEDS JEFF HARDY!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by: GAARA Jan 6 2005, 01:45 PM
^^Too bad Jeff Hardy is already signed with NWA TNA. He got kicked out of the wwe for his failure in rehab for some kind of pills. The same thing with billy gunn too.

My predictions for the ppv
Elimination Chamber match: Batista(guy is really impressive)
Woman's Championship:Lita
Stinsky Vs. Kane: Kane(a feud in the wwe can't ever be one sided)
Intercontinental championship: Benjamin( that guy kicked ass since he was on smackdown)
World Tag team chapionship: Eugene and Regal(since chistian and tomko had the last laugh b4 the ppv they are going to lose)
Jerry Lawler Vs. Hassan: Hassan(what's the point behind all the hype if he loses his first match and to the King)

Posted by: Jin Jan 6 2005, 03:39 PM
i wanna see the Rock in Be Cool, a critic said he was amazing in that movie in an advance screening

Batisa must be very asian washed, SF tats, and a huge dragon i think on his back as well

Posted by: Ayako Watanabe Jan 6 2005, 04:45 PM
THe Rock...as Johnny Bravo? With that Tall Blonde Hair? lol this is something i need to see for myself happy.gif

Posted by: BOZZ Jan 6 2005, 10:58 PM
Just wondering... Is Sarge the main dude in Doom? I heard they were cutting the whole Hell on Earth thing for the movie...

EDIT: A friend of mine, when we brought up Hassan, mentioned how long it'll be before some crazy patriotic redneck shots the guy... I kinda feel sorry for Hassan and the kind of danger he might be in with this gimmick...

Posted by: Möbius Jan 6 2005, 11:46 PM
yeah , fans are getting crazier and crazier these days... so many people run try to run inside to beat the wrestlers... laugh.gif

Posted by: GAARA Jan 7 2005, 01:57 AM
I like hassan, I think that character is cool. I also heard that some Arabs are feeling threatened cuz at house show, Rhyno lost to Davari(hassan's manager) and grabed the mic and said "I'll get those dirty Arabs next time". Just heard it from someone who saw the show.

Typical for Vince McMahon and WWE to do stuff like this during global times of conflict, perfect example would be back during the Gulf War when they made Sgt Slaughter aligned with the Iron Sheik and EXTREMELY anti-american (fortunately the real american Hulk Hogan was there for the counter-attack and overall victory)

gutsy creative direction INDEED!

The Akuma tattoo , I think it has a general meaning ( death or something ), he might not even be an SF fan... sad.gif

Posted by: WRX DEMON Type R Jan 7 2005, 09:59 AM
I know that the literal translation means "Sky" - a japanese friend of mine told me that. Wearing that on your skin means your possesed by the sky...

Im not sure about the other symbol below the Akuma one - but my little brother keeps telling me it's Evil Ryu's symbol... Im not sure what that means though.

Possessed by the sky? what does that mean? (sounds interesting - and looks badass on batista too)

err the symbol on akuma's back is ten, meaning heaven or someshit

Posted by: Cyrus430 Jan 7 2005, 09:01 PM
akuma's the shiznit... but howdid akuma come to be??? i never found that out... someone tell me pleez...

Posted by: WRX DEMON Type R Jan 8 2005, 01:03 AM
Akuma and HIS big brother were students to someone even better than both of them - i forget the names... I think his big brother's name was Gouken and their master's name was Shenron.

Anyhoo, their teacher taught them both the killing arts of Shotokan - the raging demon attack i guess, and once Akuma mastered this, he went out and killed his master in order to convince himself that he had mastered it. His big brother on the other hand fled, and later, took upon students of his own and taught them the arts, excluding the killing part, the dark hadou (as explained in the SFA Animated movie)

Gouken - Akuma's big bro, took upon Ryu - an orphan that he adopted and raises as his own son and Ken a rich american kid (sometimes disputed to be half american/half japanese) as his students, also he took upon Dan (who's father was murdered by Sagat). Dan left early in his training to avenge his father. Ryu and Ken stayed with Gouken until one day Akuma arrived and using the killing arts, slayed Gouken. Akuma spared Ryu and Ken cuz they were just kids and not worth fighting.

He seeks out the ultimate fight, and inevitably, someone that can kill him.

Anyhoo, yah - I read somewhere in Japanese mythology that demons are affiliated with the sky and that to be possessed by the sky means you were possessed by demons. I may be wrong though... I read that stuff back in 98 when i was as deep into the SF fad as i am into the ID fad nowadays.

Posted by: Taiki Jan 8 2005, 01:11 AM
hmmm... have the street fighter story officially finished? if so, where can i download thwe whole story? (manga/book)

Posted by: WRX DEMON Type R Jan 8 2005, 01:17 AM
Not sure about the mangas, i just played most of the SF games that came out. That and i kept going on the internet to learn more about the characters (SF NERD IS ME). The only SF game i never played were the EX series. I just found those to be stupid.

Capcom getting lazy nowadays too - in alot of the newer combat games, the just borrow character sprites from other games. Capcom vs. Snk 1 and 2 were good examples.

anyhoo

but ahem, i think we'd better kick it back to WWE chat .. but is there a street fighter thread floating around?

p.s. can't believe JBL actually still has his belt! blink.gif (still shocked he got it in the first place)

Posted by: BOZZ Jan 9 2005, 02:55 AM
Well JBL has a fan in Vince... too bad tho... Others, even including The Underseller, would make better Champions... I mean the guy is boring... If he had real heat like the Arab dude on Raw he'd make a great Champ...

Posted by: Smiley_DC2 Jan 9 2005, 01:07 PM
That's true, and Bradshaw really is an intelligent guy in real life ~ i.e with stocks, bonds, and his book that he wrote on succeeding in that market

also i read in the Kurt Angle autobiography, where he talks about faarooq and bradshaw that they are like Vince's police backstage with the talent and are the 'go-to-guys' when it comes to putting people back in their place

it said that there was one time when (former WCW tag team talent) Public Enemy came to WWE, that they were absolutely not fitting in with the talent and company so vince sent them to face APA in a hardcore tag team match, which would be their one and only match with WWE ~ anyways long story short, APA absolutely pummelled the SH*T out of them, pretty much sending the message that they weren't wanted in the company

crude, but effective ~ long live McMahon (YOU'RE FIRED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) gotta love it when he says that pinch2.gif

Undertaker back in 1998 was the best .. he tombstoned kane 3 times to beat him at wrestlemania, threw mankind off and through the hell in the cell, and burned kane in the inferno match

the he just went all bizarre and crappy with his ministry of darkness, then corporate ministry gimmicks

that was also back in the day when The Rock was one fat bastard! bwahaha, everytime he'd do his little wiggle kick stomp thing to opponents his whole leg would jiggle whistling.gif

Last time I saw Chris Nowitski, he was doing the campaign trail for the wwe during the presidental elections. If anyone else wants to know what ever happened to any wrestler, just ask me. I would know cuz I have a very good knowledge of what happens to some of these guys, I have been a fan of wrestling period since I was about 2.

ok so what happened to chyna??? she was kinda hot

Posted by: GAARA Jan 13 2005, 10:46 PM
after chyna left, she went to New Japan Pro Wrestling, where she main evented against one of the biggest stars there, Masahiro Chono(some may know him when he was in WCW a few times). They had a like 35 min match that ended when he knocked her out with a big boot to face he calls "the Mafia Kick" to get the pin. After that she made her own sex tape with her boyfriend at the time Sean Waltman, AKA X-pac, teh 123kid, the lighting kid or what ever u want to call him. She is now on the surreal life on vh1 I think. She also runs her wrestling school. I hope I have answered ur question r34turbocharged5 grin2.gif

and what of road dogg???

Posted by: GAARA Jan 13 2005, 11:13 PM
^^ he is now in NWA TNA, as bg James. He is in a group with Konnan(former Mexican Wrestilng star, and was in the wwe as Max Moon a long time ago) and Ron "the Truth" Killings(AKA K kwik in the wwe) as teh 3 live Kru. Don't diss TNA, that place is the shit.

i believe WWE released him from their roster, not sure whether he was fired or left on his own terms

Posted by: GAARA Jan 14 2005, 03:34 PM
^^ He was pretty much fired.

Posted by: Smiley_DC2 Jan 14 2005, 04:31 PM

lol what ever happened to Christopher Nowitski?

Christopher NowiNski is suffering from Chronic Migraines, therefore he had to retire.

It can be viewed as a sort of brain damage, and the other big Superstar to have this problem was Steve Blackman, who also retired from wrestling due to this condition, as well as his Neck Problems, but that's another can of worms.

Chris Nowinski is still kept by the WWE because received this condition under their clock, and he is still the only Harvard graduate to have wrestled in the WWE. He's sort of like a bad trophy for the WWE.

He's trying to work out this problem, but with no known cure for this, given what wrestling is all about, he's unlikely to ever return.

You can partially thank Tommy Dreamer for that.

Posted by: Smiley_DC2 Jan 14 2005, 05:01 PM
oh well if he can't be an active wrestler anymore, there's always commentary or he can write columns for them, like Droz does for them these days

^^ Crash Holly was said to have OD'ed and died from it.

Crash did not OD at all.

You're thinking of Curt Hennig if anyone.

Mike Lockwood AKA Crash died from suffocating on his own Vomit.

He was visiting Stevie Richards and they started Drinking, Crash passed out, and during this hazy period he started vomiting, but because he was so out of it, did not have the wherewithall to save himself.

Stevie Richards blames himself, but the WWE knew that he couldn't have done anything, so they let him stay.

In rememberance, for a while on Heat and House Shows, Stevie came out with Crah's Theme Music, and did his entire Entrance like he was Crash (climbing onto every rope to get in and out of ring). After he won these matcups, he'd point to the sky to show his love.

He was Fired because he was milking an Injury for all he could. He didn't want to wrestle so much, so he milked a leg injury way longer than needed, and the WWE caught on, and BAM a huge boot to the 'Kish's pimply ass.

Similar thing as to why Jamie Noble was fired. He tried to get insurance money from his insurance company because of his Steroid use. The WWE went "Uh oh, you're publically letting people know you're juicing?" and BAM bye bye Juicey Noble.

You have to consider who he was put up against though.

You can't go "Hey Chris Benoit sucks" if he's forced to job to say John Heidenreich in both Promos and matches and beatdowns.

His whole career in the WWE was with wrestling and losing against Sub Par opponents.

His fueds were against a Green Maven, Scott Steiner at his worst, The Dudleys at their stalest, and Tommy Dreamer who was way over the hill.

If he were to have gotten say, chances to show his skills against Benoit, Jericho, good Triple H (I.E. NOT 2002-2003), or anyone with decent technical skills, he would have gotten farther.

regardless even if he wasn't placed in tremendous opportunities, his potential would still have been able to be observed ~ i saw none in him whatsoever

He claimed to have been in the WWE, but the Miz pointed it out that he hadn't wrestled a single match for UFC.

He's a "Cage Fighter" whatever that means. He had and has no contract with any MMA or Shoot federations, he may just be a backyard cage fighter, like the backyard wrestling morons.

I can just imagine the garden gnome building a little "Cage" made of old Mattresses and claiming he is the Undisputed Ultimate F'ing Champion after destroying his 10 year old neighbor.

If he was a Backyard wrestler, he wouldn't be allowed into da WWE. If U go 2 da parens section it says that they don't look at tapes from backyard wrestlers and reject their application form.

How is Jeff Hardy an idiot for going to TNA when he was fired by the WWE? TNA is a very good organization. They have talent that the WWE will try to get down the line plus they have some guys with amazing moves like one guy does a shooting star legdrop or another with a 630 splash. My personal Favorite is the Candian Destroyer which is a flip piledriver, u have to see it to believe it. No One could be called an idiot for going to TNA, that place is coming up.

jeff didnt get fired he quit cause he wanted to pursue his music which u see didnt last long lol so is there anybody part of the CHAIN GANG like me ????...also its only a matter of time before batista comes champion allot of people wanna see it me including cause intensity is bad ass and i swear to god if JBL wins at the royal rumble im gonna lose it cause he sucks as a champion only timei thought he was actually funny was x mas in iraq other than that boring

Posted by: Cyrus430 Jan 17 2005, 04:33 PM
to me he sucks period dry.gif ... he thinks hes great when hes not... he was tight when he was in the APA... but then when he turned all... goody-gody, he just sucked after that, and what happened to farooq?

APA was awesome, i don't think they should've gotten rid of them to start with - but then again with faarooq being old and all maybe thats why they disbanded and he left

im sure kane and lita is just for the show, couldnt imagine lita leaving matt anyway - sucks that lita injured her knee again, poor thing has had so many serious injuries since joining WWE

RAW needs The Rock back, he's got the best mic skills ever

any news on lesnar returning?

lmao @ DC, all the crusor wight, lolol. Anyways, Jeff didnt get fired, he quit, as someone already said, BUT he didnt quit for music. he quit because his contract was outrageous (the new one he was offered) and the tricks were too bizarre. TNA wont come up, even tho it does have talent,. as for lita andkane, its just for show, and at first lita didnt like kane, but i think she sorta likes ihm now, because last week he saved her from gene stinsky...as for JBL, he was hilerious in iraq laugh.gif laugh.gif that was classic lol. He better not be champion, becasue hes gay. Undertaker should be the champion; he deserves it,m and hes just bad-ass. grin2.gif and for Batista, i think he might hold the title. BUT, i think him and orton should form a faction, because they seem like good friends, ro did when they were in evolution. I think they will. =D

Posted by: Smiley_DC2 Jan 17 2005, 06:41 PM
i thought about a potential faction between orton and batista, seeing as though they are starting to have a common enemy in HHH, but of course if they do i don't think it would last too long since both want to be the heavyweight champs

and yep taker definitely should be champ, but after he destroys heidenreich first! wink2.gif

Well Bichoff doesn't really have the same power that he had in WCW where he was giving wrestlers extra money for no reason. I remember Y2J saying that he was sent a couple of hundred of thousands of dollars for no reason, that was how much wcw was making with bichoff around.

Posted by: Smiley_DC2 Jan 17 2005, 09:22 PM
that's true, unlike wcw who had ted turner, wwe has vincent kennedy mcmahon, who not only has the money but has the brain and balls to remain competitive - 'You're fired!!' laugh.gif

yeah i remember big show talking about wcw as well, how storylines and matches were just thrown together moments before their live shows started and the managerial hierarchy made it pretty much impossible to get anything done

well unfortunately its pretty much all he can do these days considering his injury placing him on the shelf for good, actually i believe the injury should have sidelined him ages ago, he's never been close to maybe even 80% in recovery from that pile driver from owen hart that broke his neck

for anyone who's watched the wrestlemania XX dvd and checked out the special features, there's a segment on wrestlemania 19 talking about the austin vs. rock III and how austin was far from being in the condition to compete in that match ... there were so many complications and i think it was something like a day or 2 before wrestlemania austin was rushed to hospital because his blood pressure had gotten extremely high and there were other health issues presenting themselves ~ as you'd imagine this added so much more pressure for austin to compete against the rock .. these were basically his health and the fact it was wrestlemania, he knew he was in bad health and couldnt push himself too hard, but it was wrestlemania and he of course wanted to put on a good show and not "stink up the joint" .. very heart warming segment happy.gif

p.s. he or the rock shouldve been 1st ever undisputed champ dry.gif

Posted by: Cyrus430 Jan 18 2005, 08:14 AM

i know sometime ago at the time he was deciding whether to join WWE or not, his other options were mixed martial arts competition such as UFC, maybe he finally went there?

Who's Next? Bwaaaaaaaahhhhhh!

In tribute to his true power and strength, here's a clip for you all (an oldie but goodie) ~ http://s8.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=21MAGHO0M679V19WXUYA4KV9IX

Well goldberg has been at a couple of pride shows in the past. For those who do not know, Pride is the premere MMA organization in Japan and maybe even the world. I doubt that he went there to compete or will ever do it. He could be doing shows for New Japan Pro Wrestling, they wanted to try and get a Stone cold vs Goldberg match when both left but it never happened. I also heard that goldberg is trying making movies now. BTW, for those who are interested in MMA and Wrestling, Sean O'Haire(former WCW/WWE wrestler) is now in the MMA Game, he fought a couple of weeks ago in K-1's Rumble On The Rock show and won in 30secs by KO.

Posted by: Smiley_DC2 Jan 21 2005, 05:04 PM
Yeah ive heard about Sean O'Haire's fighting background, i kinda figured he'd make a move like that to MMA ~ and damn 30 second KO

and lol Goldberg in movies again? hopefully he'll be better than he was in Universal Soldier 2, which was boring as!

RAW after thoughts:

- benoit should've beaten jericho
- its funny how Canada STILL hates HBK
- Batista is awesome
- interesting to see a bit of chemistry between RKO and Stacy Keibler
- bischoff needs his old black hair again
- kane chokeslamming trish was funny as hell
- shelton benjamin's doing a good job with the IC title
- jonathan coachman's voice is so annoying
- it was funny how HHH told the girl to shut up after she asked him to answer some questions for her
- viscera still looks the same

Heh... Well considering that whole Survivor Series fiasco, can you really blame us? I mean HBK did a lot of politicking in the back during his days as Champ and well I personally like him as much as I do Triple H, and that's not a whole lot (kinda like Trip's acting ability)...

Posted by: Smiley_DC2 Jan 22 2005, 02:08 AM
^^ oh no i don't blame y'all at all for still holding it against HBK, i mean Bret Hart was a national hero for Canada and dare i say possibly the best wrestler ever (i seriously believe in this ~ my opinion anyway)

its just sucks how that all went down and what happened to his career in WCW after that, esp. after Bret contributed so much to the WWE

fark that's awesome!! w00t2.gif

man, i really miss him in WWE ~ imagine if he and batista partnered up -> OWNAGE

i remember when he was still in the company, he destroyed 3 Minute Warning .. if i remember correctly he jackhammered Jamal and speared Rosey through a ringside barricade

i also remember a tag match he had in WCW with Rick Steiner against Buff Bagwell and Scott Steiner where he picked up Scott Steiner in a military overhead press and pressed him 7 times before slamming him into the mat!!! thank god i recorded that match and have it on tape still grin2.gif

HAHAHA, Kane chokeslamming Trish was the funniest thing that night. On an interesting note, my friend told me he was reading a wrestling mag a couple of months ago and there was this article call "Where Are They Now" and it was about Brutus the Barber Beefcake. Well it turns out that now he is working at a toll booth.

actually in regards to finishers where u have to lift/pick up ur opponent lesnar and goldberg aren't the only ones who've done it to big show, others include

- the rock (rock bottom)
- kurt angle (yep, he can angle slam him!)
- kevin nash (yep, in wcw he jackknifed the hell out of him)

he hasn't done it but after seeing what he did to viscera, im damn sure batista can have his way with big show too

hey the royal rumble is coming and i wana see that cascat match between the undertaker and hidnriech

Posted by: drifta_21 Jan 22 2005, 04:25 PM
To me, how in the HELL did John Cena FU Show???? I thought he was a weak F#$@. Anyways, Brutus works at a toll booth???? You'd expect him to have LOTS of money in his retirement fund.

LOL first time i saw Cena FU Big Show (survivor series 03) i thought his legs were gonna break

off topic but cena looks like matt damon IMO

man when cena gave the big show a FU he held them there for atleast 10 sec and smiley man the rock bottom doent count as picking up the big show lol the only one that was legit was the jack knife from kevin and heidenrech dunno if i spelled it right but o well to the point he is a joke i cant stand him

Posted by: Smiley_DC2 Jan 22 2005, 11:49 PM
oh yeah, taker gave the last ride to big show one time on RAW as well, but that was kinda assisted since he sorta already had him up in the turnbuckle

SMACKDOWN! after thoughts:

- what do y'all think of the new US title, how it spins around and all? i think it looks pretty weird ~ lol u see Cena spinning it during his entrance its like he its a turntable or something, lol
- how old is rene dupree again? 20/21? something like that, i think he's doing tremendously considering how old he is .. i predict great things for him in the future
- mysterio vs. chavo was an awesome match
- the basham brothers are like DOA all over again (well only in the sense that they are identical twins and use that to their advantage in matches)
- hard to predict who will win in the triple threat match at the royal rumble, wouldnt be surprised if JBL retains it though

Posted by: GAARA Jan 23 2005, 12:07 AM
I always thought that Cena looked like Mark Whalberg.

Posted by: Smiley_DC2 Jan 23 2005, 12:30 AM
^^ i see resemblance there too, ive always thought he looked like matt damon for some odd reason .. im sure there's more similarity between cena and whalberg in personality as well if we refer back to whalberg's rapper days as marky mark
