Well, Bungie is known for leaving many unanswered questions in their games and throwing out other surprises, so no one really knows the fate of the MC. HOWEVER, these two commercials lead to some pretty interesting assumptions.

SPOILER

For one thing, the veteran and the interviewer talk about the MC in the PAST tense (and there are some underlying "tones" that point to the fact that MC might have died in the battle), and both videos confirm that the MC activated a grenade which lead to some serious consequences. Of course, the MC would probably use some magic fairy dust to escape the blast, but the videos are pretty interesting nonetheless.

Either he survives and there will be another sequel, or he dies and there will be a prequel. Either way, Microsoft/Bungie will be milking their Halo series as long as they can.

Well one thing is sure, humans win, but i guess what couldl happen is master chief will sacrifice himself to save earth, but that would be kinda predictable and i seriously doubt that will be what happens

Holy crap that live action one was so sick! After watching this, I can't wait for it any longer!

Fore me Halo 2 was shitload of fun offline when I was playing co-op career with my brother, but online is full of the same assholes you find on every shooter game.

@Dat Chau & thewangandestroyeR34 - While it's true that Halo 3 will be the conclusion to the current Halo trilogy, Microsoft has confirmed that there will be more Halo games (other than Halo Wars). However, BUNGIE WILL NOT BE MAKING THEM! Instead, Peter Jackson's Wingnut Interactive will make them.

Personally, I'm not really looking forward to it because Jackson claimed that it would play out like an interactive movie, and IMHO, Halo is only good as a run-and-gun FPS (Halo Wars looks okay, but I doubt it'll be anywhere near as popular as the Halo FPS'). I'll save judgment until we see any work done, but my hopes aren't very high.

EDIT: Frank O'Connor stated that the creators of the commercials don't know much about the Halo 3 campaign, so yeah . . .

EDIT 2: The diorama (1,200 square feet, 12 feet tall) will be taken apart and toured around the country at various Halo events.

EDIT 3: Future Weapons (Discovery Channel) will be airing a Halo special in a few days, so check you local listings if interested.

Part 3 of the "Believe" commercial has been released.

EDIT: Pretty fun site if you're bored.

EDIT 2: There's also a trailer about a John-117 (the MC) monument, but I can't get the video to run and I can't find it anywhere else, so I'm not really sure what it's about.

EDIT 3: After some research, I found out that the John-117 Monument is the diorama featured in the commercials and the "trailer" is the making of video.

What the f**k was that video. I couldn't help but laugh though the entire thing.

Its not the end of Halo but just the end of master chief story. Cant wait for it to come out.

I got 2 legendary editions, i hoping to sell one on ebay and make about $20 profit.

Supposedly isn't the helmet too small to wear? If was wearable I would totally get the Legendary Edition.

The helmet is only used to house the discs.

Preordered the regular edition. Tin set doesn't have a second disk like the old one, but has some DVD with a bunch of stuff. That helmet is useless so I didn't bother spending $150 on that fancy piece of plastic.

Anyways, who plans on going to go online once they finish the game? We should create a game or something.

I think if the ending was like in the believe commercial (master chief surrendering to the covenant and then probably killing the Brute Chieftain with the sticky) I wouldn't be disappointed, but I have high hopes for the ending and i don't want to spoil it b reading some of the leaked stuff
