Things are looking pretty perky compared to the V5 days.

About the online capability; while I can't read japanese, I'm fairly certain that the "Offline" text that accompanies my card exiting the machine means that Trinoma's cabs are offline.

Posted by: IronShounen Apr 19 2011, 08:47 PM
Well, I talked to the technicians in TZ Ermita and all they said was "There's still no news about that."

I really hope we do get an internet connection. All the features we're missing out on are awesome! D:

Posted by: brian_infinispirit Apr 19 2011, 10:43 PM
We'll never get online anyway. That's a certainty.

Anyway, I'm currently inactive but will resume playing in May. I'm still racking my brains over the videos I've DL-ed so far. I certainly hope ID6AA will be kinder to me when I return, just as ID5 was kind enough for me (until some NA spinning triangle bumped me off Irohazaka DH's #1 spot back then).

Posted by: DigiBunny Apr 19 2011, 11:19 PM
Don't be too certain.
I was sitting around with my head up my rectum completely convinced that since we didn't get 2.0 for V5, V6 was a nonzero, but insignificant possibility.

Posted by: IronShounen Apr 20 2011, 05:54 AM
Bad news for the players in Ermita including myself (As I live in Robinsons Place Residence in Ermita, TZ is just a couple of minutes away.) D6AA machines will be moved to G4 as said by the TZ staff.

Such a shame. I might retire until they upgrade the incoming ID5. Sad.. And I was just nearing Lv 60..

When Timezone says something like "not sure", 99.99% of the time, it is a "no way" for them. In addition to that, Sega DOES NOT include PHL/PHI in their area codes, so online is a lost cause for us.

Now that's a bit of a good news for me. Glorietta's pretty accessible from my location.

Looks like I'll resume playing earlier than planned. Hopefully the machines are at G4 by Easter Sunday.

Posted by: IronShounen Apr 20 2011, 06:25 AM
Delivery day is on Saturdays so it'll probably be ready on Sunday. A warning though, one of the machines have a busted steering wheel so don't expect any decent battles or any battles at all.

Well, that's the good part for us that play here in RP Ermita, when the ID5 machines from G4 get upgraded to D6AA, the two machines will be playable and thus, in store battles!

Also, area codes are added very easily. The problem is how far we are to the main server. Which, IMO is not that far. Only reason why they didn't allow internet connection in America is cause it's too far and thus, will cause lag during online battles.

Main problem I see as to why we still don't have internet connection is language barrier. Timezone probably doesn't like the idea of hiring a translator to get the job done just for one game. I don't think they value online play for ID machines that much. IDK. That's also a reason as to why I see how D6AA will be neglected after the hype is gone if there's still no internet by then.

---

Edit:

ID Extreme Stage JP version can be played outside Japan. This is where I got my theory. If Japan seriously didn't want other countries to gain the ability to play on their servers, they would have banned IP's that are outside their country or their chosen countries like how Nexon and other game companies ban foreign IP's to reduce laggers.

That explains why I couldn't access MapleGlobal here. *Snorts*

All things considered, I might keep going to Trinoma even if G4 gets the cabs. In Arena there are minimal children running around to screw things over. Unlike in G4 where the cabs are positioned in such a way that they scream " HEY! LOOK AT ME! I'M BREAKABLE!" I'd rather have my machines worn down by people who pay to use them.

In the end, I suppose we'll just have to see how bad the wheel is. If it's just a lack of feedback, I could probably deal with that. If it's schwoopy loopy like a troll with magnets, then yeah. I'm making every V6 game a privilege I have to work to get.

There is an "area" for Other Area. So even if there's no PHI or PHL specific area code, there is still a chance for you guys to get online, just tagged to Other Area.

Posted by: IronShounen Apr 20 2011, 06:15 PM
^ That.

Just like I said, SEGA is just taking their sweet time finding out whether our internet speed is up to par or not and whether or not Time Zone is going to buy the fastest available internet connection that SEGA requires in order to play online.

If my time in Akina is originally 3'08"8xx on the good machine, my time goes up to 3'15"xxx on the other one.

The problem is a bit hard to explain but I'll try anyway.

When the wheel is center (car is going straight) there's a 2 inch gap in there where you can't balance the car, thus keeping it straight. It also sucks when you need to maintain your drift during a turn since sometimes, you need to keep the wheel at the center. It either oversteers a bit or understeers due to that "gap".

I tried telling the technician but he really doesn't know what to do. IMO, the wheel is busted and needs to be replaced. Adjusting the force feedback nor aligning the wheel did no fix.

What's the max speed of your internet connection?

Best is 100mbps but the rate is at 14000 Philippine Pesos per month. Saw it in a techie thread sometime ago. It was being offered by Globe broadband if I'm not mistaken.

Still no ID6AA machines in Glorietta. I wonder when they'll actually do the machine transfers.

Posted by: DigiBunny Apr 24 2011, 02:31 AM
Finals are done on friday. I'll check then.

Posted by: IronShounen Apr 25 2011, 06:47 AM
Actually, I just visited them last Sunday. Staff said they moved the date where they relocate the machines. Sometime next week will be the day the machines hit G4. Sad, I have exams this week. :|

Posted by: DigiBunny Apr 25 2011, 08:15 AM
Acceptable, as far as I'm concerned.

I'm amused that my card name is recognized out of the forums. *chuckle*

Posted by: john_takumi86 Apr 29 2011, 04:44 PM
I remembered in V4 that we were on Other Asia category. And if it is that possible in ID6, I guess ID community will be happy to hear that..Connection to the server I guess is the concerned.

I visit G4 yesterday and the ID6 machine was already there. That's good news for people near G4 especially to brian_infinispirit and DigiBunny, and also me..hehehehe... happy.gif

Posted by: DigiBunny Apr 30 2011, 07:17 AM
I confirm this. The right cab also, has no flaws.

Posted by: john_takumi86 Apr 30 2011, 08:55 AM
did you go to g4? I guess I saw you..hehe

Posted by: DigiBunny Apr 30 2011, 09:17 AM
You may have; I was the guy with a white T shirt and a black bag. I probably wouldn't have noticed though; Too focused onthe game. >_>

Posted by: brian_infinispirit Apr 30 2011, 07:40 PM
I don't know if I even want to play as of late.

I've lost the urge to do so considering after sitting near the top in the country in ID5, I'm now DEAD LAST in ID6AA.

Posted by: DigiBunny Apr 30 2011, 08:39 PM
You gotta start somewhere. There's no rocket ladder to the top for ID; especially since things change drastically from version to version.

I say if you're still single and happy, go for it.

Since we still don't have online yet (and probably won't)...

I guess we all have to turn "Accept Challengers" on. The good thing here in ID6AA is that, win or lose, you still get a substantial amount of points. Unlike in previous versions, wherein if you lose, you only get a small amount of points.

Oh and I remembered I myself need to keep it ON all the time. LOL. I really want my card's avatar to change into something like the one I had back in ID4.

Posted by: DigiBunny May 3 2011, 01:50 AM
I'm once again Ki- QUEEN of Iro. Queen. Yeah.

Usui and Iro at any rate, are mine for now. I'm confident I can steal Akina from that NSX; it's only a matter of time and footwork.

Wow this is refreshing. Unlike V5 where I'd pull my hair out trying to figure out what the hell I was doing wrong, it's clearly visible what I'm doing.

I WILL however, be taking a month long break from playing around. I spent a little too much on my games, so I'll have to balance it out with minimalist living again. Looks like it'll be Sketchpads and Pencils for entertainment after school.

Not that that's a BAD thing.

Posted by: brian_infinispirit May 3 2011, 02:13 PM
All right. Hopefully I'll be able to depose your times when you return. LOL.

Trinoma still has them.

And G4 has Ermita's machines, iirc. So there's only two places in the whole country as of now.

Meh. I can't wait to buy ALL the external parts I want so that I can leave "Accepting Challengers" on all the time, regardless of who's on the other cab.

Sounds like someone who's desperate to keep the My Character bar filled up as quickly as possible. 1 bar every play is too slow IMO. At least even if I lose a battle, 2 bars still doesn't sound bad.

Posted by: DigiBunny May 18 2011, 02:07 AM
Akina DHD, Iro DHD, Tsukuba OBD, Myogi DHD, Usui CWD are now mine.

I'm puzzled with Iro; but I'm willing to leave it be until I gradually improve on it. At least it's a sub 3'00 time.

/smug/

Posted by: IronShounen May 19 2011, 06:32 PM
I guess my time was beaten already. Go and beat Akina DHD 2'52"xxx for me now please. That was what I was aiming for.

P.S.

That was my time that you just beat Digibunny. So.. Please beat the Japanese peeps for me. Their current time in Akina DHD is 2'51"9xx.

I'm passing on the flame to you! Best of luck! awesome.gif

Posted by: DigiBunny May 20 2011, 03:27 PM
^ Unless that 2'52 is an RX8 top time, there's no bloody way I'm going to make that. It's already been established that my car of choice sucks in comparison; and I'm not going to switch out for the sake of record breaking.

One of the other Rotary knights are better suited to trying.

@IronShounen

are you the one who has the record in Tsubaki Line at 3'19'xxx using NSX and 3'18'xxx for 350Z? I'm just curious..hehehe.. happy.gif

For the record, I'm not ditching my little 1.3 for the FT86. I'll have it act as the Impreza to my Trueno; constantly challenging my other six gear to run faster.

That being said; Toyobaru ahoy!

Try contacting them directly? In all likelihood it's a long shot, but it probably wouldn't hurt to try.

Trinoma is also an option if it's any closer.

Posted by: john_takumi86 May 29 2011, 08:00 PM
Well I guess I will not be concerned to one player in terms of TA coz everyone is attempting to get the Top spot.. happy.gif

Even the Wangan players in G4 are playing ID6AA..I guess it bcoz they like not just only the wings and aura but also the game itself..

The left cab is now really in worst condition compare in the previous that I played..It's very very crappy handling..so I decided to go and compete on the right cab.. happy.gif

Is the G4 left cab's force feedback out of order?
Was at Trinoma yesterday, the right cab there didn't have force feedback.
I also find it weird that although there are in-store battles, the TA times aren't synced for both machines.

I have a feeling that ODEN is not a foreigner..

I guess he is a Wangan player that plays ID also..

Posted by: brian_infinispirit Jun 5 2011, 06:07 AM
But the thing is... if he ain't a foreigner, why doesn't he make himself heard?

And how come no one knows him?

Real-life shinigami? O:

And we would have received the biggest surprises of our lives if ODEN's a she and not a he.

Posted by: john_takumi86 Jun 5 2011, 06:16 AM
the last time that ODEN played was Tuesday (May 31) so that means ODEN plays on a weekdays just like EONIA..hehehe

Posted by: DigiBunny Jun 7 2011, 01:07 AM
The MT3DX+, ID, and BG4 cabs have all been squashed together where the 8 Wangan machines used to be.

Where on earth did the DX machines run off to...?

Ah, and ODEN's Akina DHD was broken by an FD3S. The irony is that this is the same FD I took down on Akina during one of my rare battle days.

My Iro is still intact. Either nobody wants it, can't break my record, or someone's studying the course still. My money's on the third option.

what card name of that FD3S, is it ER1CK?

Posted by: DigiBunny Jun 8 2011, 04:13 AM
That's the one!

Oh, and ODEN isn't a chick. Much to our Chagrin.

Posted by: john_takumi86 Jun 8 2011, 04:18 AM
I know whose that ER1CK? He has also a card named SHOBE, the Evo IV car..

His FD car didn't put the final spec part on Spec 5 which is the Turbo..He didn't what to put it..He uses only the normal engine or I guess a single turbo engine...

by the way did you see ODEN personally? Is he a foreigner or what? pinch2.gif

Posted by: DigiBunny Jun 8 2011, 04:25 AM
*Tsk*

In that case I can't claim a full victory if I ever play against his FD. His Evo, yes, but it'd be wrong of me to take pride in winning against a car that isn't FT.

I don't think ODEN-san is a Foreigner. I mean he speaks Tagalog, so either he's a local or he's been here a while.

Whether he's a local player or not, one thing's for sure.

We've got a real challenge on our hands.

Posted by: john_takumi86 Jun 10 2011, 08:15 AM
love the challenge for me.. happy.gif

speaking of challenge, ODEN stole my record at 3'09'6xx...

everybody is on G4 today especially ODEN as what my informant said.. xD

I don't think I was ever quite so vocal during my plays before.

Honestly, you threw me off a bit when you said that stuff.

And this is the first time I thought of a car as a pet. Because of you LOL.

Posted by: IronShounen Jun 11 2011, 11:01 PM
@john_takumi86

Please check the name. If it's Mayuyu ( まゆゆ) Most probably it's me. I'm not very fond of Tsubaki or any of the new tracks but I have time attacked there to test cars. I switch around the 3rd car from an FC, to an FD, to a Z33, and to my current one, a GC8 so most probably, yes, that's my record.

Sorry for the late reply. I haven't really played ID anymore after it was moved. Switched to GT5 so yeah. Most probably, I'll retire until the Philippines see an online on these kinds of machines.

If any of you plays GT5, here's my PSN ID. I drift and I play around on the Wangan so yeah. Just add me up. Other than GT5 I don't really play any other PS3 games. Might pick up some for fun sometime. Oh yes, I play Metal Gear Online too so if you have MGS4 let's play sometime! biggrin.gif

PSN ID: Gekikara-sama

Hey guys, Odenwings here, finally got around to making a new account. (I'm actually posting this just before leaving for school lol)

I used to be known here as whitewing, but I had to stop because of school and stuff. Now I'm back for ID6 and Im loving it so far laugh.gif

I usually just play in Glorietta 4 since I can just walk there and everywhere else is too far away. I drive a red R32 and my new S2000 under the name Oden. I've been itching to have a good battle (since the steering wheel of the left cab is finally fixed), so let me know when you guys usually play wink2.gif

I'm itching to get ID6AA a whirl myself, just to see how differently it plays from IDAS5.

I met up with Brian_infinispirit earlier this week at G4, and that was pretty much my first glimpse of the game. Maybe when the rains subside and when the financial drip-feed machine bestows more blessings...

USO DESU!

If that is indeed true ( I mean I did see your S2K replay there. I assumed it was just a Legend run though. ), then we can finally have some kind of fair battle system!

Not that it matters *right* now, seeing as all my skill went out the window.

Car can't go out in the rain. This is the tradeoff when you have a Levin's suspension on a city car; the puddle on the ground is going to get you stuck much sooner than everyone else.

Yes, after personally testing it, I can say that it's in perfect working condition biggrin.gif ...let's just hope it stays that way.

So how's the Filipino community doing with ID6? It's good that I notice new players coming in, but hopefully we stay active.

Edit: And btw, when are we getting Akina Snow? ohmy.gif

Posted by: DigiBunny Jun 24 2011, 04:51 AM
If I were to guess; it'd have the same time lag from when the FT86 was released, to when we actually got it.

I'm pleasantly surprised the ID6 community IS as active as it is. Newbies and Wangan transferees are still coming in, judging from the replays I see. Given that the game updates itself, I don't see the end coming any time soon.

There's still no offline code for Akina Snow.

And now it's really difficult to level up from 75 upwards. I'd be lucky to level up 2x in one session from now on.

Glad to hear left cab is fixed but.. There's still no internet connection!? I'm starting to hate TZ. :|

Posted by: Odenwings Jun 26 2011, 04:38 AM
Okay, this is just annoying. They finally fix the left cab steering wheel in G4 Timezone, but now, for whatever reason, the two cabs can't do a battle facepalm.gif *sigh* You know what? I think the staff in Timezone are just feigning ignorance and trolling with us troll.gif

But anyways, met up with brian_infinispirit a while ago. Congrats on taking (my) Myogi DH record man! grin2.gif Rest assured, I will do everything in my power to try and take it back. Mwahahahaha shifty2.gif But I love having a worthy opponent, so keep it up!

You need 1.8million (around that amount) EXP to reach Lv99 from my experience.

It really gets mad difficult to level up if you don't have online. pinch2.gif

Egads. That's a trainload of points indeed. <.< For me to achieve at least Level 90, I'll need to have at least 30 plays every weekend for the next 4 months.

*takes a deep breath*

OK now, I can do this.

@ Oden: And not just the battles. We also can't customize our card avatars with in-store battles/accepting challengers disabled. <.<

Posted by: DigiBunny Jun 26 2011, 06:59 AM
It wasn't disabled when I was playing. At least, the right cab could still have it on and I still got avatar tuning points.

I can't force the issue now due to illness that I encountered but I will play soon..It's RoJohn's Vengeance.. cool.gif

Posted by: brian_infinispirit Jun 26 2011, 03:09 PM
Yeah, don't force it. Tsubaki DH dry #1 spot @ Glorietta is still yours anyway. biggrin.gif

Well, as long as I keep on racking up the Platinums for TA's, maybe it'll be easier for me to aim for Level 90 rather than Chapter 70 Legend Arc before 2011 ends. At least with TA, even I hit only Gold, that'll be 1500-ish EXP points. Unlike with Legend wherein I only get 600-ish EXP points when I lose.

Sometimes, I don't feel like spamming Usui CW and Akina DH in Legend even if I have a hefty 1500-meter and 900-meter leads, respectively, over the CPU before doing manipulation. XD

Posted by: Odenwings Jun 27 2011, 09:02 AM
Hey guys, I tried going to G4 Timezone again. Versus mode is still missing. I'm guessing it's because for whatever reason, the connection between the two cabs is gone, since you don't see a live feed of the other cab at the moment they're playing. Guess this is another issue we're going to have to force down the staff's throat. *sigh*

But I'm finally getting gold drifts at Myogi awesome.gif though I'm still finding it hard to improve at Tsubaki facepalm.gif

Up until now, I can't seem to figure out the true technique needed for Tsubaki...this is turning out to be my most difficult challenge yet biggrin.gif

And looks like battle mode in G4 is fixed w00t2.gif So...anyone up for a battle?

Posted by: brian_infinispirit Jun 28 2011, 07:26 AM
Thank goodness they finally came to their senses.

But...

I'll pass for now. <.<

When I get to Level 90 upwards, that's the time I'll start accepting again. Cypher mentioning that I'll need 1.8 million EXP points to get to 99 made me realize that I can't lose frequently and I need to keep on racking up the Platinums for TA's and wins for Legend Arc LOTS to get there before 2011 ends.

Posted by: DigiBunny Jun 28 2011, 07:28 AM
Wouldn't battle wins help towards your goal though? I mean Point-wise, probably not by a whole lot, but winning does grant a free game, subtracting a LITTLE bit from the cost.

Posted by: brian_infinispirit Jun 28 2011, 07:37 AM
You do have a point there; battle wins do help reduce costs a little.

But when you get to Level 75 upwards, you'll need 30k EXP points to level up. Like now, I'm at 77, I'll need 33000 to move up to 78. And for sure, that number will reach 60000 or more. You'll need every single point you can get from this point forward.

I did some math on my own and realized that I'm better off with hitting Platinums for TA's and/or wins for Legend Arc (esp. if I spam Usui, Akina, and Tsukuba). Budget isn't too much of a problem on my end for the time being.

I'm satisfied with the condiotions of both cabs. Ran both today, and they're working excellently. Though I can't help but eye the puncture holes in the left cab's dash.

I'll hold back until next week to play. I did an oopsie out of enthusiasm and poured all my budget into a fit of "WHEEE. GAME. WHEE."

That did wonders for my psyche though. That Iro crown is going to be mine again. It's only a matter of time.

I personally don't have the patience most of the time to wait. Which is why starting today, if I play on a Sunday, I plan to go to Glorietta as early as 10:30 so I can avoid the queues.

Obviously, the major trade-off would be that I'm unlikely to encounter any of you until probably the time I finish all my credits. <.<

Finally tried it yesterday. Next to IDAS5 this one feels rather strange. I can appreciate the realism IDAS6 requires for one to clear Irohazaka though.

I'm still struggling with drift control and my times are not impressive at all. Myogi and Usui are wide and rather forgiving, but getting it wrong on Akina and Akagi (especially the squiggly middle of the first sector) means losing a shitload of time.

Akagi 3:03.419
Akina 3:35.313
Irohazaka 3:24.102

Car's an RX-8. I tried transferring my IDAS5 card data to no avail - the machine threw an error.

How do you guys control the drift angle once you get sideways? I doubt if the throttle pedal on these cabinets is analog; do you change pedal pressure or just stab the gas multiple times? Or do you just ride the throttle while sliding all the way?

Hang in there buddy smile.gif It really is very different from AS5, it's more like a drifty version of AS3. I think my times were much worse when i first started tongue.gif

In general, I just tend to keep my foot on the gas throughout the drift, unless I feel like I'm understeering or am about to hit the wall from the momentum of the drift, during which I let go of the gas.

Thanks for the encouragement, but I highly doubt your newbie times were worse than mine smile.gif

In the case of Iroha it's crazy. It's a struggle between scrubbing off speed and when to actually get on the power to whip around the turn. I can't even do all the wall-jumps; I can nail just the first one and then fail to make sense of the other three hahahaha!

Will try to log some more seat time when time and finances allow.

Posted by: brian_infinispirit Jul 3 2011, 06:14 AM
It's always like that when starting out this time, so don't feel too bad about it. wink2.gif In ID6AA, stock cars and full-spec cars are radically different... unlike in previous versions wherein FT cars are, at the most, 8 seconds faster than bone stock cars.

I remember those 3'17-ish Usui runs and 3'28-ish Akina runs back then. <.<

Posted by: Odenwings Jul 3 2011, 06:41 AM
From personal experience, I take the turns in Iroha differently from the usual. A few turns, I can take the turn with the gas down, some I have to tap the pedal at certain points on the turn, etc. Also, for some reason wall-rape seems to work for the right-hand turns awesome.gif

Just keep practicing, and soon enough you'll be breaking records smile.gif

To be specific, wall rape tends to be effective JUST before the apex of the turn.

Although I'm not quite sure how the Japanese pull it off, that's what I've observed from watching KotokoZLR's 2'44 vid.

Posted by: Type 100 Jul 8 2011, 01:39 AM
I'm going to Timezone G4 tonight to log some more seat time and figure out just how to crack ID6AA.

In case any of you ID6AA gods are in the area and would like to meet up with a mere mortal, my card name is "Hyakushiki" in hiragana (ひゃくしき).

EDIT/UPDATE
Spent the better part of two hours on the machine, making time attacks on many circuits from Akina Lake to Irohazaka. I finally understand how this game works and how to get the drift timing right. cool.gif

As it turns out, there are many ways of initiating a drift in the game, inspired by real-life counterparts. These are the ones I found.
- Scandinavian flick/"manji" drift
- Lift-off oversteer, into powerslide
- "Throttle kick" (since there's no clutch pedal to kick in the game)

Transitioning from Akina Lake all the way to Myogi helped gel the whole drifting concept, while Akagi is the first true test of skill because it requires quick transitions (hence a good preparation for Irohazaka).

Personal best times so far, all downhill. To my surprise I'm actually in the leaderboards now! w00t2.gif

Akina Lake 2:16.953 (#5)
Usui 3:18.191
Myogi 3:05.560 (#6)
Akagi 2:58.103
Akina 3:22.539
Irohazaka 3:12.109 (#8)

Irohazaka was the most fun; the jumps are still hard to get right though. Akina, as usual for me, is a pain in the ass because it's easy to fudge up midway, and to my disappointment I had lots of trouble trying to repeat that 3:22 time.

Moar practice required. Progress is encouraging though. awesome.gif

Posted by: DigiBunny Jul 12 2011, 03:06 AM
I am CLEARLY not going to acquire an Usui crown. I'm COMPETENT, but little walltaps are going to stick me at 2'45 for the rest of my life. *raspberry*

Odd. Most of my top times for courses that I like are... 7 seconds off the Japanese. Except Akina. Either I'm not behaving, or the car's not behaving. Either way I'm making one or two stupid mistakes where my ass doesn't have enough grip and my rear scrapes the guardrails, or I eat the inside because I went in too early.

And so the quest to reclaim my crown continues!

Though you seemed to be occupied with your friend. awesome.gif

While I was watching you Akina, it felt like your S2000 was peakier than my RX8. You could floor it all the way without swinging completely wide and make it out like a rocket.

Which is weird, because I have this tiny little engine that has crap for torque when compared to a 2L FC20.

Had a few Irohazaka DH runs on an old IDAS3 cabinet close to my office this evening, and I have to say I agree. IDAS6AA is much looser around the rear and requires clearing the turns in second gear rather than IDAS3's third.

It'll be a while until I get any real IDAS6AA practice again...

Once more I am the lonely driver of the forums. *Releases confetti* Was that why you asked me about the Cappa?

I come into the first one in 4th, with one gas tap to bring me around. My acceleration is delayed since the RX8 won't make it coming through at full throttle without wall banging.

The technique afterward is the same for the sweeping turns in Akina that you drift to get boost for. Wheel yank, brake, gas, return to center, power out. Though since I'm clearly slower, that's probably not right. >w>

Lols at Brian's comment... Kudos for you... I have a GF, thankfully she's faraway so she doesn't affect my gaming alot... As for AS6, I'm still racking up some money... Stuck at 19 and will never aim to be higher since higher means you're the attention of the mall and most people will be wary of you... I'd rather stick to low levels while racking up some wins and losses [which ever is higher]...

*YAWN!~* After a day at the hospital, I feel like playing AS6 or some DX+ gaming but malls are closed as I check out [my timeout right now is 10PM] so yeah... Goodluck on me finding a good mall with AS6, if not, I'd stick with AS4 and 5, mostly 4 since alot of the newer dudes in RP play AS4 and yeah... WMMT... Which reminded me of going to the said mall earlier yesterday [12th] and took down the Osaka King of the WMMT machine... Too bad there is no more AS6 in TZ there...

SHOUTOUT: OI!!!! TZ personnels here... GIVE US THE GOD DARN MACHINE BACK!!!! ME WANNA PLAY MY CAR AGAIN!!!!!! >.<

And besides, now that I'm getting closer to my personal major goal of "Level 90, Chapter 70 Legend Arc" within the next 4-5 weeks (I did say before though I hope to this before this year ends.), I'll do less TA's and do more Legend Arc runs.

why don't you try ID6AA..It is just like your playing ID4 but with a new twist.. happy.gif

Posted by: TFUJIWARA Jul 24 2011, 10:09 PM
I played IDAS Stage 6 in Megamall happy.gif

I wanna go back there again today pinch2.gif

anyways :
I chose AE86 Trueno as a starting car, is it good?

Posted by: john_takumi86 Jul 24 2011, 11:55 PM
You mean it was upgraded to ID6AA?

Looks like I need to check it out if that information is true then.

Yeah AE86 Trueno is good. happy.gif

Posted by: TFUJIWARA Jul 25 2011, 02:21 AM
yup. the machine was previously from Trinoma TZ happy.gif

Posted by: DigiBunny Jul 25 2011, 04:58 AM
*Crushed*

So... So the Trinoma...

*Collapses on knees and shakes fist at the sky*

Curse you cruel fate! Curse youuu!

Odd though. The Trinoma machines were working fine when they were still in... Trinoma. I noticed some oddities on the left cab now that they're in Mega.

I see..That means it's still only ID6AA machines are available in 2 areas as what I read on the website..

I'm gonna check whose playing in that area this weekend.. I really miss megamall ever since people are more playing in that area since V5 days.. happy.gif

Posted by: TFUJIWARA Jul 25 2011, 10:45 PM
ohh im going back there again this Saturday and Sunday to practice, i hope to see you there, what's your card name? i wanna watch learn how to attack corners properly happy.gif

Posted by: john_takumi86 Jul 26 2011, 04:08 PM
I'll just go there and see your card name when you play.. cool.gif

Posted by: junetrish024 Jul 26 2011, 04:20 PM
One reason I see why TZ is keeping it self off from new machines is maybe it's letting it's 'international' branches try it out first and if it's click, they'll get the reports for them to analyze and see if the Filipino audience is also going to wrack them up with the same amount of patronage the said machine is going to have...

Remember WMMT3? It gained so much patronage that when DX and DX+ came, TZ was the first to acquire and use the said machine... Same with ID4... And with 4's success, they decided to get V5 but somehow, people got wary of the price of 4 vs WMMT... Remember... WMMT cards sell cheaper than ID cards... So that's how I see why...

But with the birth of the same card system for WMMT, prices will go up for WMMT and may go in par with ID card prices, making the two compete on the same level field again...

I just hope TZ gets the online battle going on soon enough...

AND I AM STILL APPEALING TO THE TZ MANAGEMENT... BRING BACK ID6AA HERE IN RP MANILA FOR PETE'S SAKES!!!! ME WANT TO TUNE HERE!!!

Posted by: john_takumi86 Jul 26 2011, 04:26 PM
@junetrish024

They will put up ID6 machines if the online test is effective here..but I guess it is impossible to happen..

It is still just like ID5, 2 areas are only available, Megamall and G4.. Same goes with today on ID6AA just what TFUJIWARA said the machine coming from TZ Active in Trinoma in now on TZ Megamall..

Posted by: junetrish024 Jul 26 2011, 04:49 PM
TZ Mega getting all the good ID stuff... Alright then...

SHOUTOUT: TZ MANAGEMENT!!!! SINCE YOU DON'T WANT TO BRING BACK ID6AA HERE IN ERMITA, GIVE US WMMT4!~~~ ME WANNA MAKE AN AE86!!!

Posted by: TFUJIWARA Jul 28 2011, 04:07 PM
err.. how do i get a second car? xD is it possible? im only Lv. 3 atm pinch2.gif sad.gif

Posted by: john_takumi86 Jul 28 2011, 06:25 PM
^

You get another car...A maximum of 3 cars in one card..

To everyone:

I can't wait to try Akina Snow on weekends.. Hope TZ staff knows the code, if not just inform them about that.. w00t2.gif

Posted by: DigiBunny Jul 28 2011, 09:28 PM
Na-input ko na.

Protip: Do not drive Snow like you would Rain or Dry. It's a subtly different game that you learn after a few halfhearted passes.

FF's and 4WD's do in fact shine here. I tried all four, and the FR and MR fishtail like mad, sometimes unpredictably.

Posted by: brian_infinispirit Jul 28 2011, 10:55 PM
I'm getting this fuzzy feeling that I made my GC8 and full-SPEC'd it at the right time, now that I'm at ease with it as far as its handling is concerned (though I still won't be using it on Akina Lake).

I just hope it won't disappoint me in the snow as advertised. *fingers crossed*

*looks around for that one Akina Snow vid with steering inputs in my PC*

Hitting the rev limiter also isn't much of a challenge. Pull off the fireworks turn right, (Read: No wall contact; a 120+ speed) and you'll pull into 170 before you make the 2nd to the last turn.

You'll actually accelerate much easier through shallow corners in higher gears. Like the one just before the four hairpins; just keep your foot on the gas and don't be surprised that your speed isn't wavering.

ENTERING the hairpins however, is a different story.

One day I'll understand the things you guys are talking about lol xD

anyways, I spent like 1,300 pesos today but in the end I felt that i didn't improve (or the maps and opponents are just getting more challenging everytime?) lol xD it takes me an average of 3 race before i win facepalm.gif

what map is a good place to practice driving? (or should i just continue story mode and learn?) sorry, newb here laugh.gif

I also bought a gc8 just to try it, it's spec 1 atm,
and my AE86 is at spec 4, Spec 5 is the max right? TIA! happy.gif

I suggest you just continue playing story. Once you hit legend though, Spam Usui until you can get times below 2'50. That's a fairly good indicator that you know your suff.

Are you new to ID in general?

@DigiBunny

yeah, but i watched the anime and currently reading the manga.

Posted by: DigiBunny Jul 29 2011, 08:07 PM
Ah. That might explain it. I can imagine then why you'd be having that much trouble if you didn't know the maps very well.

Posted by: TFUJIWARA Jul 29 2011, 08:57 PM
Legend? story arc? Godhand was the last opponent that i fought and i still haven't defeated him facepalm.gif

Posted by: DigiBunny Jul 30 2011, 03:23 AM
Ooh. Ah.

I guess that means you haven't passed the initial story modes. Well, that's all practice then.

All I can say in Akina Snow,

Let it Snow..Let it Snow..Let it Snow.. w00t2.gif

Last Friday I experimented with different cars. I ended up getting an all-Mazda lineup on my card. smile.gif

I think I'm an FC3S and NA6C convert now. Compared to them I now find the RX-8 too tail-happy for my preference.

Tried an Evo VII, too. Didn't like it outright. It felt like it wanted to understeer all day long and I couldn't find a way of making it rotate better on the throttle.

I saw Nikki's Cappu on the leaderboards for the right cab today.

I find that ADORABLE beyond reason.

Posted by: brian_infinispirit Aug 3 2011, 07:17 AM
Probably because the Cappu is at the tail end of the rankings?

And you'll probably have to make a new card to have that coffee car, unless you're scrapping either the Z or the FT-86 on your current card LOL.

Posted by: DigiBunny Aug 3 2011, 08:05 AM
I'm not getting an EA11R.

I only wished to express my amusement that our resident Cappu user managed to get onto the leaderboard.

Posted by: brian_infinispirit Aug 3 2011, 08:15 AM
Well, I do remember seeing her Cappu on the leaderboard as early as two weeks ago. That was for Usui clockwise, I think.

Maybe I'll try a stock Cappu some time, just for the hang of it.

Posted by: DigiBunny Aug 3 2011, 08:21 AM
That being said; Gambareh Nikki-chan! It'd be awesome if you managed to grab one of the top 3 spots.

Assuming she still browses the forums, anyway.

Our machines here are currently Ver. 1.1 EXP +B. We only have two locations in the country that have ID6AA: Glorietta and Megamall.

And our machines here are offline.

hi guys ! =) hope you guys are still active playing Initial D... I'd been playing ID4 these last few months @ WorldsOfFun in MEGAMALL, and im starting to get addicted to it and I'v started to enjoy doing battles with other players. There are some decent players from time to time who still plays @ megamall like N-R-S , Jomzki, SHIRO, etc.. anyway i was wondering where i could play newer Initial D versions like ID6 AA and ID5.. Is there any mecca/place where ID players meet/play now a days? thanks... Godspeed =)

I think all the machines were moved to Glorietta 4 to support the Double battles.

Unless there were in fact, OTHER machines apart form the ones moved around in SM and Trinoma.

You are all so lucky I live in London and we never have the latest Initial D arcade anywhere crying2.gif
