"I dunno, the Emperors seem to be kinda scrubby guys who win because they have a good leader (strategist) and decent cars." I do not say "strategist", but had kyochi simulations for each type of opponent, then he was ready, do not you think? __________________________________________________________________ "Their cars are good, but none of them are nearly as prepared as Kyoichi's EVO III. " as I said before, that car was ready to beat Ryosuke, not someone like Keisuke. let me explain my point of view ... FC in downhill against Evo had problems cornering low speed, because, apart from the turbo lag, he had no power to make it on the straights as well as being a 4wd, evo had the best performance in curves ... But we are talking about the FD in Uphill, where horse power is more important, not to mention that Keisuke has trained every day there, he already did that since joining the RedSuns. Kyochi had no knowledge of the route and Keisuke has a strong fighting spirit and pride, he would not be overcome easily. ___________________________________________________________________ " Besides, there are plenty of other teams who have second-place racers who aren't on the same level as their leader. The Night Kids, for example? The Speed Stars? If you want to get kinda technical you could say that Todo was the same way--neither of the students it put up against Project.D were on Tomoyuki's level." I do not think anyone of Speedstars were good pilots, nor the Nightkids, here we are talking about skill level by region, and not the difference between the first and second drive in the team. Tomoyuki was a Pro driver, a legend... but Daiki was considered to be the greatest talent from Todo Juku. ___________________________________________________________________ " I'm sorry, but I just cannot accept Seiji being on Kyoichi's level. It just isn't so." I did not say that ... I made it clear that I recognize that Kyochi is on another level. ___________________________________________________________________ "I went ahead and left out all the stuff I didn't feel like arguing with and left in the part that was worth debating. " sorry, but it is just my opinion, I'm not trying to change anyone's mind.

Project D Keisuke is a well crafted machine and seems unbeatable on the uphill and a formidable challenge on the uphill, I think he would be him for sure. |

I agree no way he would do that, his driving style is too conservative. A move like that is extremely gutsy

Are you saying Keisuke pre-project D would beat Kyouichi on Akagi uphill? If so, I don't think Keisuke would win easily at all. It will be a good and close race. You have to remember that the pre-d Keisuke only knew how to go "fast".. always on the accelerator, never really thinking about strategy or tire preservation. That is how he loss to Takumi and that is something Ryosuke said was one of his weaknesses. He only learned tire management after he vs Kyoko and began mastering throttle control from that point on (4th stage). And he wasn't close to God Foot's level yet (Stage 5 Keisuke, i would say he could be considered the new "God Foot" on the streets). Stage 1,2,3 Keisuke just didn't have the skills to compare to Kyouichi in stage 2. He had the fighting spirit, but if you leave emotions out of it. Kyouichi was purely the better racer. Kyouichi's Evo has 350hp...we can assume that's 350 AWD Hp which is a lot. Keisuke, on the other hand, had 350 rwd hp. which isn't that much for a twin turbo fd. The evo would've been lighter than the fd too, so that also makes the evo a better uphill car. Remember God Foot vs FD, God Foot left Keisuke because of the AWD. Yes, Keisuke "let him pull away"...but also remember, God Foot blew past Keisuke at the turn around point. The evo has "crazy acceleration" as well with its awd (Remember how he blew by Ryosuke in stage 2 easily with his car). So, even in an uphill battle, Kyouichi would probably have a better chance at winning than a downhill match. In stage 2, Ryosuke had a hard time beating Kyouichi and it took the very last corner, and Ryosuke "only had one shot" to beat Kyouichi--the highspeed right hand turn. Of course, this is an anime and Ryosuke is always gonna be the hero, so he won. But you can't simply write Kyouichi off because he loss to Ryosuke and Takumi. Keisuke did internal clock and accelerator training after Kyoko and when he crashed the FD. (middle stage 4).
