| A new line of vector cars that i've been doing. i've decided to make this a sticky as i'll be updating it as regularly as possible so expect a lot more. | -faints- ... -regains consciousness a few moments later- Omagawd, pretty. Yanno, a Celica Supra isn't as complicated to draw as a car like the Saleen S7. There's no exposed headlights or gills or major curves to deal with... ...my screen resolution is 1440x900. If you ever got the time, could you do one, please, pretty please as an eternal w00tness wallpaper of epic win for IDW's official Celica Supra fanboy? XD |

You should do a ZG instead, or include a ZG version. Full nose cone, black/dark gray over fenders and a blk/dg spoiler. Dori and I both have 240Z's as our sigs, but mine is the so much sexier 240ZG. Yeaaahhh.. I looked into the PSD and was amazed by all the detail. The hundreds of layers, some just for a small spot that needed some extra shading. Kudos, Ray |

| That's awesome. What did you make it in? Illustrator? I love the pen tool as well, but I'm no where near as good. Any good tips/advice/tutorials? |

| Wangan midnight cars may be done in the future but for now concentration is on the ID cars. and thanks, its a mix of illustrator and photoshop. i still use the pen tool heavily in photoshop so it looks like an illustrator job in certain places when i didnt use it. sorry i dont really have any tips off the top of my head, nor do i have any real good tutorials on the pen tool. |

| whenever i have free time, go ahead and make one. post a decently sized pic of the car and color you want it in and some slight changes to the car if youd like (i dont gaurantee that part all the time as it takes even longer to do), but just tell me what you want and ill def. get back to you on it. |

Boo. It's not like every SVX out there is a gleaming, pristine showpiece, either... Your cars have ten years on mine. <.< And that's dirt (and stripped paint on the bumper) on the car. I was merely using the paint scheme/angle for reference. >_< |

| Ok, the orange ZG is done. please refer to first post. its 1280x1024 just cause i wanna keep things the same and im sure u can resize it on your own. The project fd will be shown soon. enjoy. also keep in mind i may NOT take all requests. earlier i did say i MAY, so their kinda picked individually on my own taste. its pretty much if i have time or like the car enough. |

| i might do the tiburon, might. interesting car but im working on other things right now. as for the other cars requested its still undecided. please dont take offense if i dont do certain cars here, its just my personal taste like i said. and requests may come a bit slow at times since afterall my main priority is that current list of cars that i havent finished yet. glad you like it alex. |

Remember that TRD styled 86? i'm rebuilding it. its a pain in the ass cause im actually drawing out new bumpers/grills/lights/etc. from scratch so im taking my time with it. essentially it IS that same 86 as before, just modded up a bit, or rather modded down? http://imageshack.us oh and one more thing, to make it more different than the other trueno i think ill have this things lights up instead |

(please look at the first post again). theres 3 versions. black/blue/white. im starting to clean up now so dont be surprised if some things are missing. ill also start getting to the smaller requests and responding to the pm's, thank you for lookin. theres still a lot more cars to do. oh and Bozz S., i checked my pm's i dont know what ur talkin about with "no wing" lol. maybe i didnt get it or im just sloooow From now on can people please just PM me about specific sizes. its a real pain to sort and read thru each post here sometimes and itd be much easier thru PM's. | something new and not on the list.... im not modifying this at all, its taken as it is. it's part of a new line of cars i decided to do. these new ones are actually gonna be printed out as posters (24" x 36") and framed. these are a bit more out there, modified more, and have more detail than the previous cars. so heres the sample of the new thing, and yes "auto tooned" is what the posters are gonna go by as names. hope you all like it http://imageshack.us |

| heh, i never considered anything with a cartoon company. but for art in general i work in marketing so a lot of my work deals with photoshoping advertisements, websites, print banners, logos, etc. one day i actually hope to start my own marketing company though. |

Well there's the Takahashi in Initial D who owns an FC and the Takahashi in Wangan Midnight who owns an FC and I'm pretty sure there are more than a few Takahashis in Japanese racing who drive FCs... is what I think she was getting at. That all said, you're doing Initial D, right? |

| Ray, your work is amazing. I signed up on IDF just to comment in this thread (although I'm a long time ID fan). I'd like to ask a few questions about your method though, if that's ok.. 1. Do you use the pen tool to trace the object, or do you create a vector shape i.e rectangle, then edit it? 2. How do you put gradients in your vector shapes? Do you Paths>Path to Selection it or is there some other way.. How are the gradients effected by resizing? 3. Do you have any good sites/links for Illustrator tuts for this kind of work? welcome to IDW first of all. 1. yes, i use the pen tool only to trace the car or any vector im doing. 2. gradients are done after i have made the shape. once the shape of the highlight or shadow is done i just use a layer mask. 3. only tutorial i can suggest is donbenni's tutorial in deviantart. (just click my sig, leads you to my gallery but just search the site.) lol illustrator is somewhat different. i love illustrator but i am TERRIBLE with the mesh tool to make gradients. i just use solid shapes in illustrator. i like your work, very clean. i've only done one anime related thing in illustrator, otherwise its been logos etc. this is actually my very first illustrator drawing ever lol. http://imageshack.us as for the dc2 yea it'll def. happen, just not sure when as im still deciding on the wheels to use on the FC. |
