Anyway, Hi, I'm elemein. Im a car enthusiast and like to think I'm very knowledgeable about mechanics (mostly because of my experience restoring cars with my father... Old American Muscle cars I know they're not that popular around here, but hey, they're cars too!), so I'll always like any discussion regarding cars. (Or Motorcycles ) So uhmm... Yeah... That's me Not sure what else to say... Oh yeah! I broke Silec's record of being the oldest account without a welcome thread |

Silec's been lurking for 9 years, then he joined just recently. That's what I meant by "longest time spent on IDW before joining."

Aha, to me, muscle cars are #1! I like JDM second; more than Euro. Though JDM cars just don't have guts. To me, rotaries are powerless in the face of American Muscle, and the RB26DETT is actually an extremely inept and powerless engine without the turbochargers. Both engines (Rotaries and RB) have their merits, but American Muscle has more power for far less weight. Even handling wise, the gap is closely rapidly.

Going by that, neither you nor Silec have the record I never made a welcome thread and my account's older than either of yours. And I'm sure there are much older accounts here that still have no welcome thread. Anyway, welcome to the forums elemein. Have fun Yeah, muscle cars are awesome.

Welcome elemein! But back in my street racing days there were 2 FDs in my area that would CRUSH all comers in the 1/4 mile, Mustangs, Cameros, Grand Nationals (one with over 700 hp I know for a fact), you name it. My diehard American muscle fanboy friend even admited that "Yeah, those RX-7's are fast." [ Post made via Mobile Device ] This post has been edited by Mazda ina Ford guy on Aug 18 2012, 07:05 PM

Hell, my dream car (that I don't currently own) is a '64 Impala Super Sport. But aside from that, welcome to the board. |

And yeah you're probably right @ Orisue Yay for lurkers! @ Mazda Well of course a 700 HP rotary would move. Hell, there's gotta be some 450 ft-lbs of torque in there atleast! That's like 450 ft-lbs moving a 3000 lb body; that's just like a Corvette, just a bit lighter (and with a far less plateaud power curve.) And rotaries can be fast, but I'll stick to piston Far more leverage. @Sgt Aha, well ID is a JDM show showing only JDM cars Sorry for assuming otherwise. And sweet! I love them old Impala's! Myself, I'm a LS/LT/I junkie. I love everything with a Small-Block Chevy, from the CTS-V to the ZR1, and even down to the oldie Camaro! This post has been edited by elemein on Aug 19 2012, 05:39 AM |
