Something I noticed on Akina downhill when my time went from 3'30 to 3'26. Your exit speeds for those long straightways after a hairpin really count, so if you can take those turns the same way you take any hairpin...

I estimate 3'10.

you can aim for faster times like 3"05 or 3"06 in akina

in order to do that you really need to brake,. because if you swayed too much while turning in idas4 that means you didnt use the brakes properly, or didnt use the brake at all,

braking is the key biggrin.gif

yeah same here, the second turn kills me,
somehow i always smack the outer lane or lose speed raping the inside ermm2.gif
the wide turn that you take at 160+ - 170+ km/h also kills me sometimes
since i only can get through it sometimes pinch2.gif (at least with 150+)

You'll have a tough time getting 3'02 but i'd say it's possible to achieve. Given that you have a clean run and good exit speeds. Good luck

Woo, improved on Akina from 2'36 to 2'32. After closer inspection, it seems that the turns before the long straights arent AS wide as most, so you dont really need to brake much, if at all.

2'32''1 myogi dhd with a 7-0-7-0-5 EG6? is this good? i failed on the consecs, and used a different theory in this one, i did brake far too late from the usual braking line.

Woops. Sorry, meant 3'22.

Well, now it went down to 3'20. The improvement's coming from my exit speeds on straights and the S curves. Just need to find a way to take the pins better then.

As a side note, The last straight ( Fireworks methink it's called?) can be taken a degree faster than the others if you angle your car into the turn a little and accelerate into it.

well actually you just need to get the steering wheel fully turned to the right... braking is pretty much the same as the very first corner... only shorter.. wink2.gif

I managed to get a 3.10.2## on Akina DH Dry with my R34. I plan on going back and getting used to my 86 and see if I can beat my time. I don't know if I'll be able to though. The steering on the 86 is so freaking tight in comparison to the R34. dry.gif

^ Christ man, I still can bareley run a 2'59 with a 7-7-2-7-1 RX-8. You could probably bring it to 2'50 and below if you max your ECU and handling.

Akina DH time reduced to 3'15, and Im having problems getting it lower. Sections Im most curious about are the one BIG turn after the RHOD, the consecs, and the fireworks. My braking feels better, but I cant quite take advantage of the wider turns. I think I may be trying to drive GRIP in a drifty version, not sure.

The BIG one: Ive seen it being taken in 6th gear on FT cars without losing too much speed. I cant tell if braking is being used at all.

Consecs: MGS, maybe? Sliding into the outer wall probably means I need to slow down alot more, but the question is HOW much more.

RHOD: Im experimenting how to powerslide through this thing. I'm making it out with 130-135, but I'd like to see if higher can be made.

I hit a low 2'54 today on Tsukuba OB Dry with my FD, now it's 7-7-7-1-3. I tried it again, I was going to get a mid/high 53 but I hit the wall on one of the last corners rant.gif

3'03.3 akina dhd with trueno sad.gif I can do better, I know what I need to do and have done it before but can't seem to string it all together. 2'49.6 tsukuba outbound dry with s2000, keep messing up that damn last corner, there's a few other little things too that I mess up in the last technical bits. Can someone make a writeup for how to brake for myogi, downhill dry for example? I only can run a 2'34 with a full tuned trueno sad.gif
