I got this idea from KrazFD's original thread in the IDAS main section. I thought it would be a bit helpful here since the game is quite new to most of us. The purpose of this thread is to ask if what you have is a good time or not. No flaming will be tolerated for bad times. When replying to a question, please provide a somewhat elaborate answer. The th read would be quite boring if it were filled with simple yes and no answers. Post away! |

I only bagged a 2'51 on Myogi DHD using a stage 1 electronic, stage 1 muffler tuned R32. Had to deal with understeer but it ranked as the 5th fastest time on my arcade's machine, for now at least. |
Posted by: ChaosAngel Aug 18 2007, 03:43 PM |
it would be a bit hard to say whether the times are good or not since, like you said, everyones new to the game maybe someone from japan should compare our times with theirs??? but then again, its good to share your times and talk about it XD |

Akina lake both directions: 2'47 middish Myogi DH: 2'36 mid Myogi UH: 2'37 mid Akagi DH: 2'38 mid Akagi UH: 2'44 mid Akina DH: 3'07 flat Akina UH: 3'12 mid Akina UH: 3'11 low (GC8V) Iro DH: 2'49 high Tsukuba OB: 2'49 low Tsukuba IB: 2'52 All of this (except that one Akina UH) is with my Fully tuned S2000. My wet times are now 1-2 seconds slower than my dry times. I can still see red on all my runs except Tsukuba OB where I'm really having a hard time trying to beat that .100 for the 48. What you guys think? As usual, Retsuka, your input is one of those I need here. |
Posted by: Retsuka Aug 19 2007, 01:07 PM |
your doing quite well actually... your times are 7-8 seconds off the WR so there is huge room for improvement, but im not exactly running WR times either so i cant be much of a help in that department since i havent really played the game seriously in a while. it should just be your practise time, no ones really had the game for a resonable amount of time and also i feel there are some discoveries yet to be shared with the over seas players. for starters an effective way and explanation that shows how to resolve understeer and run fast times at once. oh btw your times get overwritten for ver 1.2 btw which is really, really f**king stupid. |

Posted by: ?wha? Aug 26 2007, 02:44 AM |
so ummm '40 on myogi dhw any good with a 4-3-3-2-4? only problem is the fking understeer that crops up every while and again >.< |
Posted by: DamienWolf Aug 26 2007, 04:44 AM
You mean you STILL dont know how to beat that? |
Posted by: ?wha? Aug 26 2007, 05:21 AM |
understeer is only apparent on a handful of turns. I know the whole PC when you come out but it kills too much speed going INTO it in the first place, hemce the 40. should I upgrade suspension and body a bit more I'm confident of breaking 39 soon. oh, and its WET not dry if you haven't noticed understeer hurts a lot more in wet IMO |
Posted by: DamienWolf Aug 26 2007, 05:30 AM |
Yeah Im a 38 at wet with a 7-7-0-0-0 Trueno. Dude, its just memorizing where the lock takes place. If this hairpin you know a lock will happen, turn extra early. Use your instinct to control the car. Make a full turn. Fight the fear. At the last moment, the lock will happen but you will welcome it because your car is magically at a perfect angle for PC to work. PLUS you have inside line. Adapt, my friend. |
Posted by: katiidx Aug 26 2007, 09:14 PM |
Maybe I've memorized my times wrong... '30" on Myogi when Damien only has '38"? Still, I swear it wasn't '40"... on topic: 2'51" Akagi UHD. Any good? |
Posted by: DamienWolf Aug 26 2007, 10:20 PM
Dude. If you have a "30", you're faster than the WR at Myogi... |
Posted by: katiidx Aug 26 2007, 10:47 PM |
o_O '40" it is. tear. |

Posted by: shapez Aug 28 2007, 06:47 AM |
trueno ft: myogi dh:35'0 akagi dh: 40'3 iro dh: 47'9 if i can run a 45-44 on iro dh i'll make a vid |
Posted by: katiidx Aug 28 2007, 06:55 AM |
brian: For your tuning level, that's pretty good... With a 6-0-0-0-0 GC8 on Akina DHD I run 3'17, and with a 2-0-0-0-0 MR2 on Iroha DHD I run 2'57"... So you're faster than me at stock cars |
Posted by: DamienWolf Aug 28 2007, 08:17 AM
Everything's just average except the iro. Very very good time there! |
Posted by: shenny93 Aug 28 2007, 05:48 PM |

Posted by: DamienWolf Aug 28 2007, 05:51 PM
LOL! Your akina times are actually faster than my old times by a sec. DH and UH! Good job on that! But with those kinds of times you should work on your iro a bit. What car is that? |
Posted by: P*K Aug 28 2007, 07:48 PM
it is very good for me wish i could find a way to do it... |
Posted by: shenny93 Aug 29 2007, 06:38 AM |

how do u beat the myogi understeer |
Posted by: Fuzz Aug 30 2007, 03:21 AM |
release the accelerator and step on it again quickly then pc wen u are out of the corner. |
Posted by: echizenryoma Aug 30 2007, 06:02 AM
Nvr do that?-.- Rather turn the steering wheel and shift down.. Wont bang into the wall=D There is no need to release accelerator in Myogi... |
Posted by: CoastalmixX Aug 30 2007, 09:01 PM
Pinoy ako. Pero hindi ko marunong mag Tagalog. XD |
Posted by: ?wha? Aug 31 2007, 01:11 AM
My friend THAT is why you only run a '38 and nothing lower on myogi. you have to use the brakes especially for PC and in the 4/5 hairpins in CP3. And WTF no need for releasing the accel.... you probably smack into walls and don't realise the accel difference cause it's got lotsa engine upgrades. |
Posted by: Fuzz Aug 31 2007, 03:11 PM |
I run 2:36:5xx so far, i use a combination of releasing the gas and stepping on it and pc. just experimenting with which gives me more speed. |
Posted by: shenny93 Aug 31 2007, 07:34 PM |
lol 2.36 is not too bad larhh i don't really like to make records on myogi haha |
Posted by: marauder340 Sep 3 2007, 11:23 PM |
4-0-2-1-0 FD ( forgot which step the reinforced clutch was but I left engine at that step) bah, I can barely remember the others >.< Akina DH Dry - 3'17'*** Myogi DH Dry - 2'42'*** Tsukuba OB Dry - 2'59'*** Tsukuba IB Dry - 2'59'*** Learning PC actually played a big role in those, the Akina DH used to be 3'24 and Tsukuba both ways were 3'05 - 3'04 With Myogi DH at 2'45. |
Posted by: shenny93 Sep 6 2007, 06:30 AM |
lols.. ermm how long have you been playing IDAS4?lol hehe you've got to work a little harder on your times haha |
Posted by: DamienWolf Sep 6 2007, 08:44 AM
Hey, man... Be nice. He wasnt bragging about his times, just proud that he lowered his times after learning PC. You dont need to laugh. I remember when I WAS at those times. Everybody starts slow. |
Posted by: CoastalmixX Sep 6 2007, 08:54 AM
Just because his times aren't as fast as yours as a beginner doesn't give you the right to straight up laugh at his times and tell him he needs work. The people here were courteous enough to let you know what times are good and which are bad (DamienWolf's reply to your times), and even you were just starting out. I know this guy (marauder) is just starting out because he mentioned he was learning to PC. This means he hasn't perfected it yet, and thus brings me to conclude he's just starting. If someone brags about their times being fast and they're not, then feel free to shut them down. Like Wolf said, this guy wasn't even bragging. I know how you post. Change your attitude, or take what's coming to you. Verbal warning. |
Posted by: Silfa Sep 6 2007, 09:00 AM |
sorry if we don't get to play 24/7 because we have school, work, etc. to be doing. try getting out once in a while shenny93 |
Posted by: Pen^2 Sep 6 2007, 09:12 AM |
Yeaaaa, we all were beginners back then, I also remember the first time I learnt PC and help me beating Akina Takumi and Kai after many consecutive losts, I was so happy and excited. And of course I still have these kinda feelings whenever I discover something new that can make me improve my times. |
Posted by: marauder340 Sep 7 2007, 01:04 AM |
In any case, just to answer his question, I've been playing IDAS 4 for a cumulative total of 5 days. Now I'm just memorizing which corners have the understeer and working on FT'ing my car. |
Posted by: shenny93 Sep 7 2007, 03:41 AM |
lol i'm not laughing at him i ask him how long he play so i can teach him more maa i'm not laughing at him or trying to insult him in any way and about the times thing is just to give him some excouragement guys don't take it the wrong =D i (haha) cause i just trying to be friendly lol peace dudes i didn't mean any harm.. paiseh sorry aah |
Posted by: ?wha? Sep 7 2007, 03:47 AM |
Maybe an idea for this thread: Make a centralised time post for each course/condition/direction. that way we can have a rough idea on what is *average* and what people should be aiming for at given levels (engine level 1 - 7 as that mainly governs speed). Capiche? |
Posted by: shenny93 Sep 7 2007, 03:51 AM |
@?wha? yeahh totally agree with you dude ermm mind me asking a question? |
Posted by: echizenryoma Sep 7 2007, 08:14 AM |

Posted by: echizenryoma Sep 7 2007, 07:21 PM |

Posted by: ?wha? Sep 8 2007, 01:16 AM |
'38'1XX myogi dhd T_T I blew a certain '36 by hitting walls at the most inconvenient of locations. Anyone have an idea what I'll hit when I get to FT at the rate I'm going? |
Posted by: DamienWolf Sep 9 2007, 12:39 AM
I'd be disappointed if you didnt beat my record? |

Posted by: echizenryoma Sep 9 2007, 01:21 AM |
O... Try your best then=) Right now, i need to FT my car so it can reach 170km/h in my 4th gear=) Rather than a slow 168-.- |

Posted by: darthchilli Sep 9 2007, 10:43 AM |
how to get faster on akina.. 3:01:931 isnt good enuff for me i cant exit the first two turns on cp2 fast enuff as for akina UH...i think im gettin the hang on it someone teach me akina!!! |
Posted by: DamienWolf Sep 9 2007, 06:21 PM
Lol, I cant teach you Akina DH when I'm a second slower than you! All I know is that Akina is all about two turns. The second turn of CP1 and the LHOD. The rest are really easy. What you get on the 2nd turn of CP1 will become a factor for the rest of the turns. While the LHOD is a "Dont screw this up" type of turn. What you get for Akina UH, chilli? |
Posted by: darthchilli Sep 10 2007, 02:12 AM |
akina dh is now 3:01:604 still those two turns at the beginning of cp2 botherin me but yea..i do know that hte 2nd turn is what determines the outcome of the whole course my cp1 is fine...somethin like 46:3xx or somethin..close to 46:2xx my akina uh is 3:09:114 havent played much akina UH tuning a 8v for it |
Posted by: BDDEE@ Sep 10 2007, 02:57 AM |
what exit do you get for 1st and 2nd turn cp2 darthchilli? |
Posted by: shenny93 Sep 10 2007, 03:34 AM |
lol ermm i need some help on akina too second hairpin how to get more speed? cause that hairpin is effecting my performents=( |
Posted by: darthchilli Sep 10 2007, 11:12 AM |
136/7 for the first 127 for the last i kno it needs to be 140 and 130 cant seem to find the 3ks |
Posted by: DamienWolf Sep 10 2007, 11:19 AM
We have the same exit speeds... I wonder where you get that extra second from me... consecs? |
Posted by: darthchilli Sep 10 2007, 03:06 PM |
possible at the 5consec i unno my big left turn exit is 163 and my RHOD exit s 144-146 the accel out of turns is funny tho, i consistently at 127 yet sometimes when it accels, it doesnt hit the correct speed |
Posted by: shenny93 Sep 10 2007, 05:41 PM
erm how to exit the big left turn with that kind of speed? sometimes i get lucky and i get that kind of speed too but what is the correct way to do it? i dab breaks and lift the accel and turn and PC out is that the correct way? |
Posted by: J]-[UN Sep 10 2007, 06:39 PM |
If ur using 86, for the LHOD just turn in early and slowly (full gas all the way)mid-in-out, start countersteering slowly once you pass the apex, PC once as soon as the tyres stop 'squealing', if done correctly the car will immediately start accelerating. Exit speed depends on entry speed I'm afraid, if ur entering around 177 you can exit 165-167. For other cars I'm really not sure how to take it, I lose too much speed. |
Posted by: BDDEE@ Sep 10 2007, 07:19 PM |
wah 165-167! in my gc8 i only enter at 160 and exit 135-137 i need to tune up a trueno when i FT my gc8 |
Posted by: J]-[UN Sep 11 2007, 12:11 AM |
Well Akina and Akagi is basically a map where the corner speed from the very first corner affects the rest of the entire map like a chain reaction :/ But generally you shouldn't lose more than 15km on the LHOD...entering at lower speeds won't prevent speed loss I'm afraid One of the problems of ID4 is that acceleration/deceleration is constant instead of exponential |
Posted by: darthchilli Sep 11 2007, 06:26 AM |
yea i've done 165 b4 ahhaa |
Posted by: Fuzz Sep 12 2007, 11:28 PM |
darthchilli, r u the chilli on the netrankings and did u happen to go to gamecentre in mk, hk before? |
Posted by: darthchilli Sep 13 2007, 02:34 AM |
yea im chilli on the rankings and yes that machine right beside the change counter... thats me so pissed tho f**king 43:268 and 44:8xx for first 2 cp then 42:7 for cp3 but then..f**kING HELL after the final right turn(where u PC and then exit..u kn the final straight) f**king car wouldnt accellerate!!! so pissed off ended up just force quitting regardless i have a thinking rite now it doesnt seem they touch the brake on those two turns in cp2 |
Posted by: Kredness Sep 13 2007, 05:52 PM |
I only run Akina downhill, but the record isn't good yet... Trueno 6/3/3/2/2 : 3'09"090 (Now Trueno : 6/3/3/3/2) MR2 0/0/0/0/0 : 3'12"451 (now MR2 : 1/0/0/0/0) I think Normal MR2 can go faster than 3'10" But I think I have many problem with line and use of Penalty Cancel timing. |
Posted by: darthchilli Sep 18 2007, 12:25 AM |
akina uphill now 3:07:825 |
Posted by: DamienWolf Sep 22 2007, 11:52 AM |

Dont worry, as u get ur 86 more tuned and u get ur techniques more perfected, u will get faster times. |

Haha! Thats just the kind of competition that keeps me from getting bored! Bring it on Fuzz! While I take a crack at your wet times... |

acutally, can anyone run more than 3:06 on akina with any untuned cars? since i haven't seen anyone who can have good "times" with any untuned cars, i wonder if the key to be good is the matter of how much you have tuned ur car instead of how much techniques you've got, which is unlike ver3. |
Posted by: toookoooldrew118 Sep 30 2007, 12:15 AM |
eventually, to max out ur skills, u gotta have tuned and skills. though i say skills are more important |

WTFBBQ ckf just pwned the japanese akina world record http://netrank.initiald.sega.com/wr/ranking/view.html?tp=0&cs=6&wt=0&rk=0 japs ran 2'57'6...ckf = 2'57'5 |

well, wat can i say.. CKF still the world fastest player.. |
Posted by: LLP Oct 2 2007, 02:29 AM |
even if CKF is world fastest player.....i still support Malaysia Team...but i can predict that Japan will beat back CKF's record.....hehehe.... |

guys, have you noticed that Cappucino is faster than MR2 in irohazaka dh? in japanese version is Cappunino.... how about the english version? comments? |

Really?? Is tht so?? if it's true,i wanna lay my hands at a cappu...hehehe |

Posted by: BDDEE@ Oct 8 2007, 02:16 PM |
yes cappuccino took the world record i think 2 weeks ago however iv been told capp is harder to drive compared to mr2 but no one knows how much theory is left in mr2 id say itll take it back also the jap record is 2'41 XDDDD |
Posted by: DamienWolf Oct 8 2007, 07:34 PM |
I've personally tried FT versions of both. The cappucino only hits the wall once, on the inside, making for smoother accel on the exit but it lacks the top speed that the MR2 generates so it becomes a line vs speed thing again. MR2 can take it back though. |
Posted by: BDDEE@ Oct 10 2007, 05:57 AM
well i just noticed MR2 reclaimed the wr 2:41:468 <<<<< WTFBBQ XDDD |
Posted by: marusho_sakamoto Oct 10 2007, 09:18 AM |
were? i still vote for MR2.. whether if it is cappucino or mr2, MR2 is the best for Iro! |

how slow is a 3, 03.8xx with a 4 2 0 0 1-2 FD? had to use wall rape as i run it faster and avoid the invisble wall for the most part. im actually more comfortable with wall rape than without it. also how many opponets can be defeated in iro (diff-0) with a 3,04-3,04? i hope to cut it down to below 3 minutes if possible to make sure i can deal with them (atleast the 1st 2 ppl). |
Posted by: marauder340 Oct 13 2007, 07:14 AM |
That time should take care of Seiji and Kyoichi without too many problems or lower the time to 3'02 - 3'03. If I remember correctly (and I don't at all >.<), I had to force myself to go 3'00 - 3'02-ish to beat Kai and keep him from passing me on the jumps. The only thing I'm sure of is you gotta exit at 82+ as much as you can. |
Posted by: 207 Oct 13 2007, 07:30 AM
ty, as for kai, does it include the part where he gets NOS just b4 the jumps? |
Posted by: Blinky Oct 13 2007, 08:22 AM |
Edit: Wrong section |
Posted by: marauder340 Oct 14 2007, 04:47 AM |
@207: Yeah it does, block him when he starts scraping your rear and take as much of the inside of the first jump as you can and don't let him pull away if you get passed. |
Posted by: BDDEE@ Oct 14 2007, 05:47 AM |
3'07'9 akina dh dry ae86 trueno steps = 7-1-0-0-0 |
Posted by: 207 Oct 14 2007, 07:15 AM
ty. i was surpeised that he had nos to begin with there. can he nudge you out of the way like v3 iro BC? |
Posted by: marauder340 Oct 15 2007, 01:24 AM |
I think he still can cuz he managed to pass me on the first jump even when I almost hit the inside. He led for about 0.5-ish for 2 seconds then I managed to reclaim the lead with PC. I'm guessing he just goes insanely fast towards the first jump, take it really fast, then exit slow. The following 4 jumps should be slower. |
Posted by: 207 Oct 15 2007, 01:31 PM
ty, ill keep that in mind when my time comes to challenge him. cut my ido ddh time from a 3.03.8xx to a 3.03.03 (lol). |
Posted by: Tiga Oct 17 2007, 12:50 PM |
2'51''6xx on Tsukuba OB with a AE86T: 7-5-7-1-4.......I think it's the timing of the PC that I have an issue with. |
Posted by: BDDEE@ Oct 17 2007, 02:24 PM |
not bad man, you should be able to beat it by abit when you complete your 2nd step to 7 .. the engine i think it is was browsing jap IR today and noticed akina uh is sitting at 3'02 now how the f**k its possible is beyond me |
Posted by: 207 Oct 17 2007, 03:38 PM |
how is a iro ddh 3.02.124 with a 43003 fd? wats a good time to aim for in iro ddh? |
Posted by: DamienWolf Oct 17 2007, 06:04 PM
Aim for sub 3. As you get tuned more sub 2'50 then. |
Posted by: 207 Oct 17 2007, 07:04 PM
every time i try to do without wall rape i go slower, so should i stick with wall rape in iro? it does seem to work well for me i can hit 3.03-3.04 and a bit lower easily enuff. |
Posted by: Alv Oct 17 2007, 07:06 PM |
lol, yes in order to have a good time and good line, u have to wallrape. |
Posted by: 207 Oct 17 2007, 07:13 PM
wat are ideal exit speeds for most corners when wall raping im getting 85-89 W/O pc, 87 seems a commonexit speed. i dont really see a diference with 3rd gear PC. my line is quite loose though |
Posted by: Alv Oct 17 2007, 07:35 PM
i'm not a TA guy, but from my point of view, if u wallrape and turn, there is no chance opponent can overtake u. 89km is a decent speed, but i seen JHUN's mr2 did la 92+ if i am not mistaken... the thing about pcing is getting the accleration back. so pcing after the corner is VERY important. u can try not pcing into the corner but try pcing after the corner, when on straights, u can see the difference. |
Posted by: DamienWolf Oct 18 2007, 07:59 AM
Dude, you use the PC AFTER the turn to restart your acceleration back. No wonder your time is like that. If you wall rape, you get speed lag. If you shift up without PCing on the straightway, your engine is dead. |
Posted by: 207 Oct 18 2007, 08:48 AM
ok then, i uaually approach the corner in 4th downshift and rape. then upshift at 102km though its often when im near the next corner. should i go with wall raping in 4th as i think i realise why its so slow now. the reason why i didnt really use pc was that i had no effect on 3rd gear. say i pc in 3rd, will accel in 4th be better? |
Posted by: Alv Oct 18 2007, 09:19 AM
yes, assuming if u didnt hit anything. |
Posted by: himura battousai Oct 18 2007, 10:39 AM |
I run 2'59'xxx on my 1-0-0-0-0 tuned FD...it seems tht wall raping is the ans for a better time in iro... |
Posted by: BDDEE@ Oct 18 2007, 02:13 PM
dude just do this shift down wallrape PC at exit shift up at appropriate time... dont worry about 4i3o atm i ran 47'1 on this quite easily...the current WR holder used to have the gc8 model record on iro until i posted my 47'1 (its 2nd now )so im pretty sure it works |
Posted by: 207 Oct 18 2007, 02:53 PM
i tried my usual method and added pc at the exit. dont know if its due to the pc or just i was running faster than usual and got a 3,01 7xx then a 3.00 523. that was it for today though ill still push it lower. i can still easily get a 3,06-3,04 if i mess up enuff which doesnt really help me from defeating kogashiwa. |
Posted by: Alv Oct 18 2007, 04:13 PM
how about turn wayyyyy earlier during the corners. tats exactly how u wall rape. watch some video to get the idea. i think a 3 mins plus is due to non wallrape technique. I used to get tat time as well when I use the old 5-in-4 out and break technique from 3. |
Posted by: 207 Oct 18 2007, 04:20 PM |
i turn in 1.5m b4 the apex. im hitting the wall b4 the apex on purpose every chance i get. though it gets a bit tough at the jumps at times. |
Posted by: BDDEE@ Oct 18 2007, 04:28 PM |
i was running 57 with stock s14q without PC when the game first came out here...only thing i can think of is that your hitting too late just keep practising, the more you practise the better you get...your bound to do it correctly eventually |
Posted by: Alv Oct 18 2007, 05:43 PM |
yea, not to forgot a 125423 times of reversing yourself when u are about to get the timing right. anyway try full gas at the jumps. |
Posted by: 207 Oct 18 2007, 06:52 PM |
ty for the tips. still havent perfected the point to contact the wall. oddly enuff i rarely reverse with a few exceptions being that of the 1st jump of 5 jumps. though im seeing improvements ie when i started 3 weeks ago??? i hit 3.08 to 3,04/3,03, now its jumped to a 3.00.5xx |
Posted by: ac101 Oct 18 2007, 06:56 PM |
stay in-wall-out for iro... turn early...rather u hit inside wall more than hitting outside wall upon exit... PC after turn, and remember to overrev the 3rd gear(4th gear if its a 6gear car) doing all those should give u at least a 57... ibecuase i did a 57 with a stock mr2...so... |
Posted by: 207 Oct 18 2007, 07:07 PM
thanks, with how i do it, i let the wall take 10-12 km off the 102 entry speed in 3rd. it seems to work for the time being and ill see how far it takes me. |
Posted by: himura battousai Oct 18 2007, 08:19 PM |
Go youtube and watch jap vids and u will get the idea of turning... |
Posted by: Tiga Oct 21 2007, 03:09 PM |
2'50''4xx in Tsukuba OB with an almost FT Tureno (7-7-7-4-7)...that was my first run after I got the Body to Step 4...hopefully will break the 50 barrier soon |
Posted by: ?wha? Oct 22 2007, 02:53 AM |
breaking '35 barrier on myogi dhd with MR2 atm... how much faster can you go with 2 more suspension? I heard there's a massive difference once you get the last step, whatever it is |
Posted by: 207 Oct 22 2007, 10:35 AM |
on lots lvl 0, wat times do i need in tsukuba to beat the 1st and last racer? i seem to do better on ib but both directions are slow ob 3,12, ib 3.06. im fine on the high speed sections but hit too many walls in the low speed section ie hairpins. |
Posted by: marauder340 Oct 23 2007, 04:20 AM |
I think you're going to need your times to be either 3'10 or less to win against the first (Daiki) and 2'59 can keep Takumi away for sure so I'm guessing he runs around 3'00-3'02 (not very sure). You'll need PC for those (like all the other hairpins out there) as usual but for starters you can try clearing them at more than 125. All the corners should, ideally, be taken at 140+ (the best I could do so far is 132 on the hairpins section). |
Posted by: 207 Oct 23 2007, 08:57 AM
ty, ill aim for 125 at the hairpins in the low speed section, im at 145km in high speed corners |

3'04'2 akina dh dry gc8 .. 03 theory .. cp4 was slow 36'6 akagi dh gc8, i still dno how to play akagi |

49"0 tsu IBD with 86T. I'm wondering on how to dip to mid 48s. |
Posted by: imperial_deathstar_drift Oct 26 2007, 07:17 AM |
iro/dh/dry 2'56'6xx 7-2-0-2-4 FD u dont have to tell me that this is terrible...i didnt really wall-rape. i brake into the corners, and bang the wall only because i'm taking the innermost line, not because im using it to rape. my exit speed is about 86+ though. it's about the same as any other player i've seen. i've seen some 2'52'x with exit speed at 86 too, his timing is better because of his exit acceleration. BTW..my FD's gear 4 SUCKS. it stays below 110 and takes DAMN long to rise. i suppose this is what's causing my lousy timings(other than not raping, i can rape properly if i try). is this natural? |

Ya.. Avoid banging at all cost.... PC on straights... And tune more... |
Posted by: K3vin Nov 14 2007, 06:58 PM |
hmm? ya as in need improvement (which i think it is) or ya as in its an ok time...bumping walls is almost no problem (maybe estimated less than 7 wall taps)...my guess is speed coz im having hard time getting PC to work |
Posted by: Tiga Nov 15 2007, 08:03 AM |
2'45''3xx Akagi UH Dry (understeers like a b1tc) 2'52''xxx Tsuckuba IB Dry (need to work on PC timing, I think) Both with FT 86T |
Posted by: DamienWolf Nov 16 2007, 09:33 AM
FT? Hmm... Needs a lot of work. Read my techs and terms thread again and try a few things. You should be at least 38 in akagi and 50 in tsukuba to be almost decent. |
Posted by: hngrY Nov 16 2007, 01:29 PM |
Yeah, anything under 2'40 in Akagi is considered average - good.. Seven wall taps is kind of a lot considering the new physics and such, but don't worry it'll be easier as you improve and tune your car more |

Posted by: Fuzz Dec 15 2007, 03:45 AM |
I'm guessing that you can do well on wet using ur evo9 to say around the '35 region. Try to keep as close to the inside corner as you can on the turns. Turn earlier and harder on wet as your car tends to slide out cutting the distance you need to travel. hard to say anymore unless we can see wat ur doing and where your going wrong. |
Posted by: echizenryoma Dec 15 2007, 09:00 AM |
i can guess.. i think=.= U r not braking hard enough to cancel out the understeer for the corners in myogi.... Doing it rite and hitting NO wheel locks, u should be able to get 2'32'xxx easily without much trouble... Provided u pc well and turn well and stick close to the corners without even actually scrapping it... |
Posted by: crow Dec 15 2007, 10:09 PM |
is 2"36'1 on myogi uh with a 7-7-0-0-0 r32 ok? 2'33'030 ft mr2.. slow cp1 XP @echizenryoma how can you not a hit a wheel lock in myogi dh.. are you going to PC before the lock? |
Posted by: echizenryoma Dec 16 2007, 08:39 AM
possible.... Ask wolf if u dun believe.... In Myogi, The key is sticking close to the wall and brake B4 the wheel lock comes.... Downshifting at the correct point will delay the wheel lock slightly.... By avoiding wheel lock, u do not have to pc at the end of the corner coz u have already cancelled all penalty by braking ( i think, i'm nt so sure myslef, but the no wheel lock theory has been proven by vids ) Wit no wheel lock, u get ur accel back and u can accel without pc'ing, ( pc still causes a 1km/h or 2km/h drop if done afap ) And reach the next corner near 180km/h.... |

Hey....i want to know how much more will my time improve if I get full tune I'm running a AP1 at 7-7-7-4-1 my times are: Akagi DH Dry 2'37'831 Akina DH Dry 3'07'936 Irohazaka DH Dry 2'54'880 I haven't play the other maps much and I still have yet to figure out how to drive iro! I'm looking to drop my akagi time even more and I need some help. Suggestions please. |
Posted by: echizenryoma Dec 16 2007, 08:27 PM
* Points at ur akina times * Get ur tuning to FT and u should see tthe diff... No ECU and oni 4 suspension = nt reallie gd... |
Posted by: Weezy Dec 16 2007, 09:48 PM
Yes, low ECU but I think he has 4 on body not suspension. Don't know if it will make much of a difference since both are handling? |
Posted by: Fuzz Dec 17 2007, 02:16 AM |
Is this good? Akina DHD 3:03:160 AE86 7-7-5-5-6 |
Posted by: echizenryoma Dec 17 2007, 06:56 AM
That's gd ( to me ) I juz hit that range recently too=x But Full Tuned=x |
Posted by: bacar Dec 17 2007, 10:13 AM
I think I maxed suspension already, right now it's just the weight reduction upgrades and then ecu....I just want to know how much faster will FT improve my times.....right now the akagi record time at the arcade isn't impossible to reach, I just want to break the 2'36 barrier and then i'll beat the record for akagi....I'm close but I want to know if I'll be able to shave off that 2 seconds with full tune |
Posted by: DamienWolf Dec 17 2007, 10:20 AM
*looks at your current tuning status* You'll probably shave a second just by tuning alone. After that its all about knowing the courses a lot better. |
Posted by: RB26TT Dec 17 2007, 08:24 PM
Its consider good, full tuned ur car and it will be more accurate timed.. |
Posted by: dkg Dec 21 2007, 02:53 AM |
how is 2'52''3 iro dh dry bone stock rx8? wid errors on jumps |
Posted by: bacar Dec 21 2007, 03:18 PM |
I finally got full tune on my AP1 and I broke my arcade's akagi DH record!!! I'm at 2'36'508, I broke it before I got FT so I'm just curious how many more seconds I can shave off. |
Posted by: Phoenix_Cypher_K1 Dec 21 2007, 06:34 PM
Pretty okay I guess. should be around 47 at FT, maybe even high 46s. |
Posted by: n3muru_zha1 Dec 24 2007, 06:51 AM |
that was way much better than me..i only can do a 2:55 wif a stock....but i only can do a 2:51 wif my s2k...any advice?? |
Posted by: RB26TT Dec 24 2007, 10:12 PM
you should counter fast and follow ur lining,u can hit mid 46"47 if u can do well. |
Posted by: n3muru_zha1 Dec 24 2007, 10:36 PM |
2:48 for my FT s2k and 2:53 for my stock trueno...is that a good time...seeking for improvement for more...when i battle wif MAVE..i did a low 2:47 miraculously.... but it was a boost on battle |
Posted by: Alv Dec 25 2007, 10:40 AM |
ya, its posibble that you can be 1 or 2 secs faster then your ta in a boost on battle due to pushing from the car behind. |
Posted by: n3muru_zha1 Dec 28 2007, 03:44 AM |
today run a 2:58 wif a tsukuba outbound only...and only 2:53 wif my s2k...don know how to improve...always mess up and slow in the section 4 |

same problem here but at least ur times are faster than mine |
Posted by: *j*j* Jan 10 2008, 08:13 PM |
@crow i do believe your skills r above average coz with this 2 cars that u r playing with n the times u did r very good ... if given the course cars for every maps i think your times r even much faster ... @*RAY your times r very good too ... in tsu ob the most important factor either than the PC techniques is the LININGS ... try to keep your line tight n good control of your steering movements when cornering but with a fast reflection(countersteering) ... coz i do c my bro SATO n LEGEND playing this map over n over n over again ... |

Looks pretty good so far. Keep up the good work |
Posted by: J]-[UN Jan 11 2008, 07:41 AM |
Turn the wheel fast ,almost like a jerk and do it early, and immediately countersteer by turning the wheel almost full lock in the opposite direction to lock the speed. I bought Jco donuts in 3:44...is that good? |

HELP PLEASE!!!!!11!!!!1!! can someone please tell me a decent cp3 for akagi dh i had a few goes at it yesterday ... for the first time in ages and could only run 2'36'9 yet ... my previous best was 2'36'2 i can beat cp1 and cp2 by x.6 and then in cp3 i lose A LOT then i think i can beat cp4 .. i think http://img301.imageshack.us/img301/8884/dsc00272zh8.jpg is a pic of the cp times from the 36'9 run... i didnt take a pic of my cp's when i ran 36'2 which is why im asking what cp3 should be whoever helps me... is a cool cat rofl |
Posted by: Fuzz Feb 18 2008, 08:03 AM |
Altho I'm slightly faster than you on akagi but I find that the V-corner is vital to getting a good CP3. Should exit around 124 or so. Used to be able to do it but after concentrating on other maps I've lost the ability to do so, so havent broken my times for a while now. |
Posted by: BDDEE@ Feb 18 2008, 08:08 AM |
yea thats what happened to me came back to akagi and cant do it now cypher said decent cp3 is in the 38's...which means if i can run that 33/34 for me xDDDD ****runs to arcade to relearn v turn |
Posted by: dkg Feb 23 2008, 06:19 AM |
i need technics on cp4 tsukuba ob. and is a 143 entry on rollercoaster ok? |
Posted by: BDDEE@ Feb 23 2008, 06:36 AM
rollercoasters...in cp4? if theres anything close to the rollercoasters its the ones in mid cp3 do you mean them ones? |
Posted by: chriswhiz Feb 24 2008, 07:15 PM
here in the ph, we use the term rollercoaster for the sharp consecutive turns after the straightaways. hehehe @dkg 143 is so-so. a few more kphs faster would be better. as for techniques, you can save a lot of speed if you dont turn full lock on the rollers. early turning is the key, imo. gav will smoke you hard on akina!!! LOL!!! |
Posted by: RB26TT Feb 27 2008, 10:32 AM |
Is 2.46" on lake akina clockwise with my ae85levin ft good time ? 2.47"lake akina clockwise wet...bad or good ? cos what i noe its same as cappu 4th gear 189...max speed 213. |
Posted by: Fuzz Feb 27 2008, 05:02 PM |
you should be able to hit the 2:45 in both directions. |

First time TA on Akina/Downhill/Dry with my Levin. I ran a 3'23"xxx with a set up of 5-0-0-0-0 Should i be doing better? |
Posted by: hongaun Mar 10 2008, 01:10 AM |
Levin 86? the car can go much faster, don't worry if ur new though, ur time will improve as u get used to the game. |
Posted by: chriswhiz Mar 10 2008, 01:24 AM
44-mid should be fairly decent for counter clockwise. for CW, -.5xx slower should be good, considering that its a non course car |

I was bored and used my stock R32 on Akina DHD and got a 3'10"XXX. How's that? I also got a 2'37"XXX my second time TAing Akagi DHD with my FT S2000. I think I wall tapped once but nothing major. Any tips that will shave some time off? |

It needs a little improvement what with your current tuning. Watch vids more. You're also probably hitting a few walls. My guess is section 2 and 4. |

hey @shyguy can c u have improved on ur akina dhd well i thk to cut down a few more seconds u have to maintain a good lining, early turning, countersteer faster n PC properly ... juz watch a few akina dhd video n see what their exit speed n compare to yours ... > my akina dhd with EK9 video - stock car > your speed shouldn't be slower than mine ... hope that helps ... |

yo @chris wats up bro i c u r trying R34 on lake akina > all d best n hope u can dig below .44 soon ... @shyguy > your welcome ... i thk u can do a .05 once u get the lining correct even the EK9 i did my lining was out but it was like my 3rd try on a car i never play b4 ... yeah PC very important de once u come out of the corners mk sure u release the gas (all of it) , step hard on the brake n quickly accel bk > provided u have countersteer out fr the corners with perfect timing of both u sure can do pretty good ... good luck @shenny tat cp1 2nd corner u have to off gas b4 entering the corner > turn early + drop gear b4 corner + brake + countersteer n PC when u r out ... |
