It probably means that the manga itself is complete, just not fully translated into English.

I meant its already translated to 719, the manga is already done. No indication that they're going to translate the gaiden comic, i guess we'll see.... [ Post made via Mobile Device ]

My bad, when I originally posted I didn't realize the group who was translating actually finished the last chapter of Initial D's main story.

I never thought Shigeno made the manga version of Extra Stage, i thought the Extra Stage was anime only. It seems it has been done when Shigeno was making the Emperor expedition since the drawings are from that era and the story itself is the same as Extra Stage. [ Post made via Mobile Device ] |

Before that, they were an online-only set of side story chapters (three of them, all of which correspond to the names of the Extra Stage titles). Impact Blue wasn't the only set, either. No way ! Online-only ? Where can i see all of them ? Other than impact blue and Gaiden, who else had a side story ? does the one where Ryosuke pass a porsche similar to blackbird counts as one of them ? Because i can't find it in mangafox. Never thought i'd find out something new about this. You said there are 3 ? Weren't there only 2 extra stage titles ? Weird though, i thought the scans team said there are 2 side stories left to be translated and scanned, if there are more than they should have scan them all. [ Post made via Mobile Device ]

Sound familiar? They're the titles of the corresponding OVAs. Extra Stage was a two-parter, with each part having the name of one of the manga chapters. Tabidachi no Green was turned into Extra Stage 2 a few years later. The other side story focused on Keisuke, and it was printed in volume 30 as "West Gate". NOBODY EVER SEEMS TO REMEMBER THIS EXTRA STORY. The Ryosuke one with the Porsche that everybody knows about is "West Gate 2" from volume 33. |

Keisuke ends up stuck with this annoying girl who was hitchhiking to the train station but the guys she rode with just left her behind. She rides with him to the train station while going down Mount Akagi and falls for him, but he just leaves at the train station and drives off before she can give him her number. If I remember correctly it occurs prior to the Purple Shadow races...

It's been a while since I last read it, but that does sound right (oddly enough I can't seem to find it as part of the Initial D manga scans available on places I usually visit).

Cold... As expected from him though That's a nice story by the way, better than Impact Blue imo Edit : Awesome, just found all the translated side stories from clubcharisma.com . West Gate 2 was great but West Gate 1 was the best lol [ Post made via Mobile Device ] This post has been edited by MonkeyWrenchd on Oct 10 2014, 12:40 AM

ざけんなよ! Group: Advanced Members Posts: 708 Member No.: 13,218 Joined: Oct 2nd 2005 Location: 愛知県 | The only side story I haven't seen translated is the one where Takumi was in middle school. I don't think any of the last volume is worth translating since Final Stage has a more elaborate ending. |

All you had to do was look it up by title. MangaFox and MangaReader are not the only manga sites out there.

Well i did google it up but what i found was either got removed or just two pages of the story. Hmm i thought all manga websites have the same scans from the same scan teams. [ Post made via Mobile Device ]

I did a cursory google search and found entire translated side stories as the first result. Dunno what your search terms were, but it wasn't hard at all to find exactly what I was looking for with little effort. |

Trust me, I'm a doctor. Group: Advanced Members Posts: 6,186 Member No.: 1,277 Joined: Feb 14th 2004 Location: Bay City, MI | What side stories are you guys talking about anyways? The only ones I remember are the ones with Keisuke and the chick, and Ryosuke driving a sick Fumihiro. Both were already available in the Tokyopop manga. At the end of Volumes 30 and 33. Due to Kodansha revoking the manga license in late 2008, these two side stories have zero chance of getting an official, legal release. The Impact Blue chapters were translated back in 2009 by a scan group with a name that escapes me at the moment. Dunno what happened to Takumi one since I wasn't interested in it by the time I heard about it. This post has been edited by Tessou on Oct 17 2014, 02:00 PM |

They revoked it? I was under the impression that they simply allowed the contract with Tokyopop to expire.
