Titanfall 2 is dying a death on shelves, though. I think that early access beta turned a lot of folks off.

I know, and it's a shame. 25k players were on in NA when I was earlier, and I really just feel like it launched at the wrong time. Don't get me wrong, with the epic story and familiarly-fun-yet-tweaked-for-the-better multiplayer (Read: No smart pistol, as much as I miss it), it can definitely hang with the bigger titles with this release, however the name Titanfall unfortunately doesn't yet, and that's what's hurting it. This release NEEDED people to pick it up and tell their friends how awesome the series has become right from the start, but it's just not happening with BF1 out and COD around the corner because those are bigger titles that carry weight (With COD, that's becoming more and more unfortunate the more time passes since MW2). Launching with the heavy hitters was pretty much a death sentence for any sort of highly successful first few weeks.

Do I think people will eventually pick it up? Yeah, especially with everyone I know who's played it having nothing but good things to say, but it's going to take time.

And wait... What's going on with The Division?

Smart pistol's still in the game, it's just a Boost item now IIRC.

And yeah, crazy shit's going on with The Division. Massive finally listened to all the complaints and the dropping player base, did some real work in response. Summary over here if you wanna take a look.

After over 300 hours of playing I finally finished the adventure map and extra map in Hyrule Warrios and got rank A everywhere. A lot of anger and frustation was needed and a duration of over six months. Story mode is done too in every difficulty level and everything is unlocked. Well, almost everything... you need some damn amiibo to have really everything unlocked (weapons). facepalm.gif
I wish there would be an application for smartphones which stores the data of every amiibo so you could use the phone's NFC chip to use any amiibo data you want. amiibo are so damn expensive compared to Disney Infinity and Skylanders.

I think Titanfall is doing bad due to everybody getting tired of the whole 'futuristic' type of idea that's being driven into our minds for the past 2-3 years.

I guarantee that the people who bought/pre-ordered Infinite Warfare only got it for the MW Remaster and it'll show (IF they still have the playercount or % of people playing)

I think that's why BF1 outsold BF4 and BF Hardline combined in the UK in the first week, something new in a sense. I bet if DICE didn't go with BF1 and reworked on 1942, that would just be a best seller around the world in the first week. It's gotten to the point that the next CoD game is apparently in the Vietnam war.

I blame COD for ruining futuristic warfare, because it's been in steady decline since MW2 and is a solid scapegoat.

I can't justify spending $100 to play half of that COD package. MW1 was great but that's a lot of money to see it prettied up... and I'd only be playing campaign.

A remake of 1942 would receive a huge welcome from me but I sorta miss the WW2 era shooters. I'm holding off on BF1 until the holidays probably.

I've returned to MGSV to shake off some rust. The game is still very enjoyable.

1943 was decent, i'll give them that. But we need a huge game from them again, hell i'll even be cool with them packaging a 1942/2142 deal in there.

You won't get a huge game from them anymore because they're so dead set on matching COD's annual release that they won't take a year (or three) off to develop something remarkable. Competition causes developers to take shortcuts or just not develop content in order to make that crucial deadline, or else suffer a potential loss to the other guys. Lord help us if there's a year where we only get one generic first person shooter instead of two.

I've been playing a lot of GT6 online with the legend of the streets touge community over at gtplanet. People are really getting the most out of the track path editor and making some amazing mountain passes such as the one in this video.

Been putting a lot of time into Pokemon Moon, currently breeding a team for competitive battle. I just need to better wrap my head around mechanics and strategy and stop making dumb mistakes and I'd like to attempt to hit up some VGC events in the next season or so for shits and giggles.

Things sure have changed a lot since I last did any sort of ranked battling...

Been burning my time away with either Tales of Berseria or For Honor. Right now I have a bit of a For Honor streak.

Try to main Lawbringer, kinda bad for 1v1 situations. Now trying to see of either the Nobushi or Conqueror can fit my tastes.

Currently playing Xenoblade X. I have never played a game that have such a giant open world. It's both impressive and annoying because you have to walk large detours to get onto a mountain and there're way too many mountains everywhere. If you encounter a monster it's either too strong to defeat or too weak to get considerable EP from.

Been a mix of Persona 5 and Prey in what little spare time I've had the last couple weeks, but hot damn if they're not both GOTY material. Persona's basically just more Persona with a couple little improvements here and there, so it's just smooth, stylish sailing as usual.

Prey, on the other hand, is basically what happens when System Shock and Prop Hunt have an amazing little bastard baby on an isolated space station. Never in our Discord has there been so much paranoid swearing about being attacked by inanimate objects. laugh.gif

I've been playing r6s but have been getting me bum kicked
Would play more ratz instagib 2.0 but that game is actually dead
Might get back my IW disc so I can play MWR again but if the rumor about the standalone are true, maybe I won't need it

Been on a major Silent Hill kick the past couple months. Played 1, 2, and 3, currently just a little into 4 (still in the subway). Could go on and on about the series, but this isn't the right thread for it anyway.

Recently beat MGS1, will get to 2 when the mood hits. Also been playing Yakuza 0 here and there, and also Yakuza 1 since it's too fun.

And last night I found out about this Famicom game with a great OST, been playing it here and there since then.

I'm currently playing Gwent: The Witcher Card Game as I'm still planning on what PC parts to buy and build and move on to The Witcher 2 and then The Witcher 3. It's a fun game to play and the rules are easy to learn. But, the game felt different in its current patch for open beta because most people are playing the same card archetype with two of the five card factions.

I started XCOM 2 recently, never played the first. The "free turn for the enemy when spotted" mechanic is so stupid. It feels like almost no work was put in to the maps (procedurally generated?) and there's virtually no lore to speak of. The writing is high school tier.

I really don't like the route most "big" games seem to be going down these days. Procedurally generated games designed by procedurally generated souls. Must be getting too old for video games...

I discovered Fire Emblem Heroes some weeks ago. Finally an appealing smartphone game for me. I had luck and summoned Lucina as 5-star character.
However, the prices for spheres are waaay too high. Thanks, Nintendo. You'll never get me to pay such ridiculous amounts of money.
Also, I don't know why, but I regularly get friend requests from japanese people.
