You seem to be another person that didn't get the message of what Idiocracy was trying to convey: that the viewer, who identifies with Not Sure, is only "better" by virtue of being forced into society instead of actively participating in it. He didn't do anything significant, never took opportunities, never tried to get ahead, and was content to literally sit on his ass and watch television all day... just like everybody else.

The easy route people go with is looking at shit on TV and saying "Idiocracy is coming true, people are getting dumber", when the reverse is actually true. We're becoming more intelligent over time. Societal decline is not happening. We just perceive it that way naturally because "things aren't the way they used to be".

you're most likely right about that. i did get the message that society isnt perfect and he himself wasnt very special at all to achieve much. you can probably explain what i saw in the movie better than i could.

though i cant help but see some individuals who have similar mindsets (to what people in the movie) accept as the norm when so many people these days are content to say and post such stupid shit on the various media platforms. i dont want to get political but you can guess who im alluding to. some people are hopelessly unfit for certain life callings and should remain in areas that are their strength.
