Hey guys this fits the mold, post up your best times here. People will be able to give advice and also if enough people start doing it I'll organize a forum top ranking in this post later on! I just managed to get a 2'51'7 on tsukuba OB with s2000... I am terrible haha some people are so fast |
Posted by: Takeshi Nakazato Jul 9 2008, 06:17 PM |
i have a 2'47 on akagi and a 2'57 on iro with a bnr34 will try tsukuba soon and im tuning a s2000 also |
Posted by: Smiley_DC2 Jul 9 2008, 07:03 PM |
currently at 2'54 on iro dh with my FD; hoping to hit 2'52 or a 2'50 if possible |
Posted by: divinity Jy Jul 9 2008, 07:06 PM |
I'm hoping to get a wheel soon! Then I'll post some TAs. All my times right now are 10-20 seconds slower than my arcade times. Stupid sixaxis controller. =( |
Posted by: Tomo Jul 9 2008, 07:08 PM
good time man! i haven't really tried iro on TA yet, too busy with tskuba and happo haha |
Posted by: Yoshida Seiji Jul 9 2008, 07:12 PM |
I'm running 2'58'7-- on Happo with the controller. I know it's slow, but my excuse is CONTROLLER |
Posted by: Demon_Lord Jul 9 2008, 07:22 PM |
I'm running a 3'16 on akina DH with my 7-7-7-7-5 EVO IX |
Posted by: EMAGDNIM Jul 9 2008, 08:29 PM |
My Akagi DT time is a terrible 2"54"529 w/S2K (no where near FT) After watching some videos on youtube, I kinda get how to turn properly. I didn't set up my wheel so when I get the chance to sit down and really play, I figure my times will go down quite a bit... |
Posted by: (FD3S)Driver Jul 9 2008, 09:07 PM |
my tsukuba OB is 2'51"45 and my akina DH is 3'09'11 with FT FD those are the only ones ive worked on |
Posted by: keisukeMamoru86 Jul 10 2008, 12:37 AM
Are those with a controller or a wheel? My Akina DH time is like 3'12'6xx on a Dualshock 3. Garbage, I know, but I'm working on it. |
Posted by: (FD3S)Driver Jul 10 2008, 01:35 AM
3'12 with a controller is impressive |
Posted by: DK_2 Jul 10 2008, 01:59 AM |
2'43'0xx Myogi DH 180sx. i'm pathetic. i'm not FT yet though... |
Posted by: Phantom_R32 Jul 10 2008, 07:34 PM |
3'14 on Akina DH Dry with my FT R32. >_< so hard to play with controller.. some times it doesn't let me countersteer on back to back hairpins so i end up raping the outside wall going into the next turn. D; |
Posted by: Smiley_DC2 Jul 10 2008, 07:54 PM
thanks man, also on 2'56 iro dh wet with my fd as well |
Posted by: BDDEE@ Jul 10 2008, 07:56 PM |
for you guys who havnt played idas4 before want a reference on like how some tracks are played(aside happo) just look at idas4 1.5 videos https://idforums.net/index.php?showtopic=31011 seeing as idex is same physics |
Posted by: Takeshi Nakazato Jul 10 2008, 09:33 PM |
tim attacked today and got alot of my times lowered, akagi is 2'42, akina is 3'10 and iro is a 2'51 now, all with the s2000 |
Posted by: DK_2 Jul 10 2008, 09:50 PM |
3'10 Akina DH 180sx all 6 |
Posted by: keisukeMamoru86 Jul 10 2008, 11:56 PM |
To everyone who's posted their times so far - what do you play with? Controller or wheel? |
Posted by: (FD3S)Driver Jul 11 2008, 12:03 AM |

i just f*ckin blew a 2'51 on happo ib new cp4 play style kills me haha and got 3'10'3 on akina DH in 2 tries with my EK9. |
Posted by: DK_2 Jul 11 2008, 01:22 PM |
omg tomo. T_T hayai. is your EK9 FT? |
Posted by: Tomo Jul 11 2008, 02:23 PM |
i just finished FT'ing it ran a 51 on tskuba OB with it too... ek is fast! |
Posted by: DK_2 Jul 11 2008, 02:51 PM |
really? is it a tricky car to use or no? |
Posted by: Tomo Jul 11 2008, 03:01 PM |
it is definitely a little weird... my other cars are FD and S2K. Then again every ID game i've ever played the FF's have been the ones I do best with, so maybe you should take that into consideration haha |
Posted by: DK_2 Jul 11 2008, 03:04 PM |
ok thanks Tomo. it was my main car in ID3. got it to 750k... ahaha. im doing a 86 Levin next. |
Posted by: (FD3S)Driver Jul 11 2008, 07:48 PM |
just beat my old 309 record at akina dh with this |
Posted by: Tomo Jul 11 2008, 08:03 PM |
just pissed away a shot at a f**king 2'50 now on happo IB. it's so hard to be consistant on this course with the damn ridiculousness of the physics. |
Posted by: Demon_Lord Jul 11 2008, 08:57 PM |
I was trying to get a video of my Akina DH run...but my stupid battery died.... I got my time down to a 3'12...I'm going to break that 3'10 mark within a few days. Am I the only one that likes the Evo IX?? |
Posted by: (FD3S)Driver Jul 11 2008, 09:09 PM
the exo nine is awsome but ive used the fd since ver.1 |
Posted by: Odie Jul 11 2008, 09:34 PM |
My Myogi is now down to a 2'38".... I remember doing 2'36" with stock in the arcades >.< Hope to break into the low 30s by the end of the week as soon as I get the hang of the wheel. |
Posted by: Demon_Lord Jul 11 2008, 11:57 PM
That's understand able. My video was able to be made!!!! Almost made 3'09"...so damn close...haha http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hBZs-NiqukQ Shield your eyes from the poor editing...i'm slowly teaching my self something else. |
Posted by: Fast Jul 12 2008, 03:28 PM |
I can only manage a 3'09''xxxx on Tsukuba IB. Dualshock 3 |
Posted by: RIT_ninja Jul 12 2008, 06:20 PM |
got a 2'57'?? on happo IB with controller and drive an 86 Trueno FT still need to work on getting used to the controller btw, are FF cars faster on happo than other kinds? I seem to have a hard time beating Integras online on happo with both my GCV8 and 86 |
Posted by: Tomo Jul 12 2008, 06:40 PM |
86 i believe has very high potential at happo. I just ran a 2'55 with a bone stock one, a little too slippery but still i believe it's got potential. I currently have a 2'50'9 with a FT ek9, i'm interested to see what a FT 86 can do. |
Posted by: Silfa Jul 13 2008, 03:14 PM |
Iro DH Dry 2'53"666 Tsu DH Dry 2'54"246 Akina DH Dry 3'09"995 with a almost full tuned a capp. need more practice. |
Posted by: Paulabusa Jul 13 2008, 07:07 PM |
by the way Happp IB is the first or second option? |
Posted by: Tomo Jul 13 2008, 07:40 PM |
happo IB is the second option... and I am honestly starting to think it takes way more skill than V3 happo to play after going at it lately. |
Posted by: shl979 Jul 13 2008, 10:18 PM |
2'58'xxx dh dry on iro with a controller |
Posted by: casolaus Jul 13 2008, 10:35 PM |
hi guys im not sure what is the fastest time with ae86 trueno in akagi but mine is 2'56'' do u think if this time is fast or slow?im using a wheel and my car has the 3rd step 7 engine |
Posted by: Paulabusa Jul 14 2008, 12:24 AM
well, i stopped at v2..... din realli played v3....... stopped visiting the arcade....... ...... i am doing about 3 min flat on OB Happo..... It is my favourite track..... |
Posted by: Tomo Jul 14 2008, 09:49 AM |
happo is my favorite track too. and right now i'm stuck at 2'50'007 because i blew cp4 on happo IB. |
Posted by: Silfa Jul 14 2008, 11:03 AM |
maybe on the first page we should have the top 5 times for each course with the members name and car they used. keep the motivation of the drivers on here to push even harder. |
Posted by: Tomo Jul 14 2008, 12:17 PM |
Yes, I said that on page one, I'm waiting for more times to be posted on more tracks before I start doing that. |
Posted by: Silfa Jul 14 2008, 06:21 PM |
Sorry I didn't see that, if you need help I don't mind |
Posted by: Odie Jul 14 2008, 09:09 PM
OMG you dum spring XD I'm slowly getting into Time Attack now mixed with some ranked battles taking everyone to Myogi boost on. My team mate had fun racing Kazu on Akagi UH twice. I'm currently on 2'35" Myogi DH, 3'09 Akina DH, Iro is like 2'54" |
Posted by: Tomo Jul 15 2008, 10:59 AM
ya I am king of dum spring XD everytime I am filming or attempting to film I dum spring haha |
Posted by: divinity Jy Jul 15 2008, 11:24 AM |
To my surprise, my wheel came in EARLY. I just walked down stairs and saw a Logitech box and jumped for joy. I played Akina DHD to get used to the wheel and got a 3'06". =P |
Posted by: Silfa Jul 15 2008, 11:56 AM |
bleh i just messed up a 3'04 run, was going 180 after cp3 then the long left i hit the wall at 160 new time for Akina DH 3'08"744. will break it after work tonight |
Posted by: divinity Jy Jul 15 2008, 12:21 PM
The three lane turn is what messes up my time. I can hit a 3'03" if I clear it decently. I hit the wall everytime. |
Posted by: Silfa Jul 15 2008, 12:42 PM |
that's insane, I want you to put it up on YouTube so I can see what I'm doing wrong LOL update. 3'06"075 on akina DH with capp. getting a little better. |
Posted by: Tomo Jul 16 2008, 05:11 PM |
well the good news is I found my video camera finally lol it was in the most obvious spot ever and I'm just stupid. anyways I'm in the midst of figuring out what the best car for happo IB is. If the EG didn't suck so bad at CP3 I really believe it would be the car... we'll have to see once it's FT i did manage a 2'54 stock with it o_O |
Posted by: Paulabusa Jul 16 2008, 06:41 PM
what about the EK? Please post your findings here..... i will work on OB at the moment. |
Posted by: Takeshi Nakazato Jul 16 2008, 07:09 PM |
improved on my times a bit, at least a 2'42 on akagi consistently now, my iro still stands at 2'55 happo, ran a 2'54 with the BNR34 and started on wet TAs now i still cant do akina to save my life |
Posted by: Tomo Jul 16 2008, 07:24 PM
ek I am just over 2'49 still ATM for IB... once I break into 2'49 with either car I will move to OB for a bit. For now I believe EG can do better cp1 and 4 definitely than the EK on IB... especially the last section of CP4 and rythym section of cp1. It's just weird, the oversteer limit of the EG is superior which is its downfall for cp3... Maybe I am just stupid and the DC2 is the best one? Over time I'm sure to figure it all out.. |
Posted by: (FD3S)Driver Jul 16 2008, 07:26 PM |
here are my times Akina DH 3'03'689 Iro DH 2'49'xxx Tsukuba OB 2'50"xxx |
Posted by: BDDEE@ Jul 16 2008, 08:55 PM
whats the world record for IB now? i wish they had a public ranking site on the internet so i could see the rankings T_T |
Posted by: Odie Jul 16 2008, 09:45 PM
How can you be going 180 on Akina??? The needle farts at 177 MAX. You installed a 6th gear? |
Posted by: Tomo Jul 16 2008, 10:04 PM
lol i thought the same thing but didn't want to say anything Happo is interesting to say the least. After playing with a FT EG, I was wrong about it. CP1 is about the same give or take as the EK, however cp2 and cp4 are MUCH faster in the EG. The downfall is my best cp3 in the EG is about a second slower than the EK. EK just dominates the hairpins in comparison. This is very annoying stuff, maybe if I tune a DC2 it will be the best of both worlds, although I'm fairly sure it will have even less grip than the EK does |
Posted by: Silfa Jul 16 2008, 10:10 PM |
my mistake, i need to watch the replay i did this morning of my 3'06. sorry |
Posted by: divinity Jy Jul 16 2008, 11:13 PM
The DC2 has come back from Ver2 to haunt us once again! Proud Ver2 DC2 owner. |
Posted by: Tomo Jul 17 2008, 12:40 AM |
2'49'790 on happo IB with EG6. CP1 was about as fast as I have gotten, cp2 I have 3-4 tenths to play with if I can ever nail it, cp3 I really need to work on because honestly I suck at it bad with this car, and cp4 I have another few tenths to get to. Still fun! sorry for the bad quality on the video in the other topic btw, I didn't reset the settings on my camera and well it shows hhaa |
Posted by: Paulabusa Jul 17 2008, 12:43 AM |
maybe i should try tuning a dc 2.... i saw a post from a guy saying that if you discard a car and buy back the same car, the parts purchased from before will still be there? not sure how true is that.... anyone can verify? |
Posted by: shl979 Jul 17 2008, 03:12 AM
the aero, rims, etc. (external modding) parts that you bought for the car previously will still all be there. but the internal tunings would all go back to normal. |
Posted by: Phantom_R32 Jul 17 2008, 09:25 AM |
I ran a 2'39 on Myogi UH with my s2000.. I dont know if thats any good? xD |
Posted by: Tomo Jul 17 2008, 10:00 AM |
i have no idea if thats any good, I dont play myogi lol. i think odie would know he seems to be Mr. Myogi like he was in V.3 xD |

You have no patience man, the first post will be used for ranking I still don't believe there is enough data to warrant ranking just yet, I want at least 5 for every course. |
Posted by: Silfa Jul 17 2008, 11:48 AM |
damm, I was just trying to help you out. forget it then. |
Posted by: Tomo Jul 17 2008, 01:33 PM |
I'm just saying, plus I already told ya that. Just look at the number of blank spots its just silly. I do appreciate the help and thought of it but its pretty blank all around. I am posting from my blackberry and couldn't put a smiley in the other post to show ya. Its just easier for everyone to have the times all together on the first page for referencing. |
Posted by: Cowman715 Jul 17 2008, 01:42 PM |
So... I need a wheel eh? How is it to not play with a wheel. Is it possible? |
Posted by: Jardim Jul 17 2008, 01:49 PM
You can play without a wheel, it's just not as fun... |
Posted by: Tomo Jul 17 2008, 02:43 PM |
Playing without a wheel sucks |
Posted by: Jardim Jul 17 2008, 02:45 PM |
Like, you won't notice this if you don't have a wheel but once you play any game with a wheel and go back to the controller, it makes the game so pointless and boring... |
Posted by: divinity Jy Jul 17 2008, 02:45 PM |
When I got my wheel and played for an hour, I beat all my times with controller by 10 seconds. Does that mean anything? =P |
Posted by: Jardim Jul 17 2008, 02:48 PM
I don't know, but i remember with GT4, i could drift on Xlink kai way better, my feints and transitions were smother and my drifts were longer. |
Posted by: Silfa Jul 17 2008, 04:10 PM |
Yes I know was just bored before work |
Posted by: Devil Kitami Jul 17 2008, 04:31 PM |
I just hit 2'49 on Iro DH Dry (FD) |
Posted by: Tomo Jul 17 2008, 05:21 PM
cool, I really didn't want to sound condescending or mean. After I reread it I said shit I shouldn't have worded it like that hahaha... my bad if you took offense |
Posted by: Phantom_R32 Jul 17 2008, 05:45 PM
Here's pic for proof if anyone is too anal about believing times. Beware of giant picture. Time was done with a controller btw. :x Imma try my GT-R in a bit and see what i can do since i never tried the R32 on that course yet.

Posted by: Odie Jul 17 2008, 06:00 PM |
2'39 Myogi UH is damn fine. It's equivalent to a 2'35" on the downhill which is what i'm running right now -__-. I think I know how to do a 2'32 now but need to chain up all the CPs. The arcade feel is coming back XD One thing I can no longer do is Akina DH. Taro runs 3'00 flat and here I am stuck on a 3'08. Also.. is Tomo = Skaction? I cant think of anyone from the NY area who plays Happo as insane as that. |
Posted by: Silfa Jul 17 2008, 06:11 PM |
Yeah Tomo I'm very hurt |
Posted by: Tomo Jul 17 2008, 06:44 PM |
just did happo IB with FD in 2'52 in a few tries... not very fun however, probably wont do that again lol also got 2'52 iro FD whoooooohoooooooo i am terrible at that course going to play other cars now, i really dont like the FD |
Posted by: divinity Jy Jul 17 2008, 06:44 PM |

Posted by: casolaus Jul 17 2008, 08:11 PM |
in Irohazaka i got my time to 2'58"990 dry with my ae86 trueno,i will try to get better, what is the tip for wall raping? sorry been long time since i played ID |
Posted by: Tomo Jul 17 2008, 08:12 PM |
braking is the key. brake and hit the inside early, dont tap your tail on the outside wall and you wont have a big penalty. |
Posted by: BDDEE@ Jul 17 2008, 08:14 PM |
hitting outside doesnt give you a penalty, all it does is make you lose even more speed the reason people get such a big penalty is from the braking, they brake incorrectly oversteer occurs and then there left with the penalty but also you can get penalty without getting oversteer if you brake but not enough...but it rarely happens to me on 1.5 so meh |
Posted by: Silfa Jul 17 2008, 08:39 PM |
Damn jyaz that's crazy you've been busy I see did you get any cool avatars |
Posted by: divinity Jy Jul 17 2008, 08:41 PM |
I've only gotten a couple new avatar items from TA and Battling today but nothing too special. And i'm looking at my screen right now and it froze in a weird animation as the battle started. |

2'53'3 happo OB eg6 in about 15 minutes worth of work... I wish i never played it because I went to IB after and was all sorts of thrown off hahaha. |

wow, pro...... hmm..... can post your replay ? hope to learn abit..... maybe i shall tune an EG.... timing looks real good... hmm..... DC or EG..... decisions decisions. |

are you still using controller? |
Posted by: Tomo Jul 18 2008, 08:39 AM
great work, way to represent! |
Posted by: Phantom_R32 Jul 18 2008, 09:22 AM
Yeah. Im too poor to afford a wheel right now. xD thanks tomo |
Posted by: Tomo Jul 18 2008, 09:30 AM |
Odie, you think I'm darin? O_o |
Posted by: BDDEE@ Jul 18 2008, 05:20 PM
haha how much are g25's going for in the states? i found some very affordable priced ones around if you need links...like $200-$300 aud so its like $20 cheaper when converted to USD EDIT: atleast if your running a time like that with controller it means good times can be run with controllers, when i get my ps3 i wont get the wheel for a while T_T |
Posted by: Phantom_R32 Jul 18 2008, 05:57 PM
I'm not sure if retailers actually sell them here. I've just been going by the $299.99 USD price on Logitech's website. If you could post those websites, that would be great. And really? o.o That was a good time? xD All my hairpins seemed sloppy. The hairpins are the scariest part with the controller cause sometime i hit the outside or sometimes i oversteer too much and hit the inside. But i kinda got down the turning now. That 2'37 run was one of my rare no wall contact runs. hahaha |
Posted by: BDDEE@ Jul 19 2008, 02:48 AM |
in AS4 terms it would be a decent time but from what i understand you never played id4 and your using a controller, i think its good in that sense and it isnt a site, its the retail price in malaysia from what i was told, so if you know someone there they could import it for you |
Posted by: Phantom_R32 Jul 19 2008, 07:20 AM
Ah okay. I don't have any connections in Malaysia though. :< Did a few more time attacks last night on Akagi UH Dry. Ended getting a 2'45"798 with the s2000.

Posted by: Atsuma Jul 19 2008, 10:26 AM
Hi guys.... Just started not long ago.... I'm from M'sia.... What do u wanna import?? G25?? I think better not coz this bloody thing weighs in ard 4kg.... Also M'sia retail price for G25 is ard RM880.... |
Posted by: Paulabusa Jul 19 2008, 10:56 AM
finally improved my Happo OB to 2'52'9XX..... number 7 i think on the online Rankings.... under Paula_ |

EG. EG is too good to be honest. I dont post anything really... even my 49's on IB with EK DC2 AND EG aren't posted. I dont need to lie about times I just assume once im satisfied making a video of one |

sil 80 is that good? I haven't looked at ranking for this game really, that is a surprise to me. Do you know what the WR for akagi is? Is the FC still the top car? |
Posted by: divinity Jy Jul 20 2008, 12:35 AM
It's a REALLY low 2'32" with an FC. It actually blows my mind how fast that guy is. I need to work on my braking. |
Posted by: Tomo Jul 20 2008, 12:47 AM
oh wow, that's lower than I thought. Must be a lot of the same things people are doing on Akina as far as that in in out line. I still can't bring myself to do it, which explains why my times are not close to that. |

2'44'411 on Iro DH dry, in-in-out wall rape tech FTW theres kinda of a penalty cancel/reset, just let of gas and get back on the gas right away, its wierd |

Posted by: Odie Jul 21 2008, 06:41 AM
Yes, thats been there since Ver 1.2 in the arcades but it's not as good as the actual penalty cancel with the brakes. I once thought of a neat trick by tapping the gas on and off on the straights but alas wasn't as fast as a perfect Japanese style cornering without any penalty. |

Posted by: Silfa Jul 22 2008, 01:40 AM |
update, ran Iro DH at 2'46"4xx with a 86 though:( im starting to hate this track now, can't figure out how to get the capp to wall rape like on the record holders video.i can keep up with him at CP1 then CP2 is killing me by at least .500 then CP3 gets better then CP4. Cant figure out how I got the car to accel at the turn before the tunnel to hit 145. |
Posted by: Takeshi Nakazato Jul 22 2008, 06:01 AM
you kinda grind the rails and use the ghetto penalty reset (which seems to only be effective on iro) |
Posted by: Silfa Jul 22 2008, 10:31 AM |
ive tried that gas on and gas off tech and i lose too much speed for it not even to be worth using. hmm idk what im doing but new update for me anyways. Iro DH Dry 2'45"442. im catching you Billy i dont understand it though, when I wake up I break records. when i come home from work at night, i fail. lol I know as big as this community is, there should be more people posting times. is everyone not TAing and only playing LOTS or Online Ranked Battles? |

lol Tomo. you have some comp too. teh Japs? |
Posted by: Tomo Jul 22 2008, 04:55 PM |
but it's not the same, I dont talk to them over the internet, and they just rape walls with the trueno while I use lines |
Posted by: DK_2 Jul 22 2008, 05:01 PM |
LOL. wtf. aha. do you post your Happo online? |
Posted by: Tomo Jul 22 2008, 05:04 PM |
for some reason, it won't let me upload my ranking anymore. It originally let me post a 2'50'9 on IB with EK9, but since it won't let me upload any new times. I checked it tho, and my dc2 eg6 and ek9 would all be MR's. sad indeed |

When I upload a replay it takes a while for it to show up on the rankings. |
Posted by: Tomo Jul 22 2008, 05:15 PM
ya i didn't know what cars were good when I first started playing V3. I picked the DC2 first and RX8 second... funny thing is I went on to own both cars in real life in the colors I picked them in the game haha... weiiiird. |
Posted by: Aksio Jul 22 2008, 05:19 PM |
Hi guys, I am new to this forum and I've just received my copy of ID4ES yesterday (Jap ver). I am just wondering is there an ONLINE TIME ATTACK ranking? I went online for a bit last night but it doesn't seem to have one for this game.... |
Posted by: Tessou Jul 22 2008, 05:23 PM |
Your time attack records are loaded into the network when you go online, which is one reason it asks you to sign in when you enter network mode. You can check time attack leaderboards in there as well. |
Posted by: Tomo Jul 22 2008, 05:27 PM |
they aren't uploaded automatically. You have to manually upload your replay data for them to post. |
Posted by: Tessou Jul 22 2008, 05:30 PM |
...but what if you don't save a replay of your best times? That kind of defeats the purpose. |
Posted by: Tomo Jul 22 2008, 05:33 PM |
ya I know. Reason being is because if you crack top 10 you are required to have the replay to post. |
Posted by: Takeshi Nakazato Jul 22 2008, 05:33 PM
you have to save them or they dont get posted |
Posted by: Tessou Jul 22 2008, 05:34 PM |
Ah, now that makes sense. That really sucks for me though. I cracked all my times earlier today and didn't save a single replay for any of them. |
Posted by: Tomo Jul 22 2008, 05:36 PM
so start saving them! you got a lot of space on the ps3 harddrive |
Posted by: BDDEE@ Jul 22 2008, 05:49 PM |
2'47! you must not be far from WR now? |
Posted by: Tomo Jul 22 2008, 05:57 PM |
yeah I'm not all too far off... If I do it it won't be done how the current WR is done (wall smash) and I will only use DC2 |

How can I get myself ranked on the online Time Attack Ranking? There isn't an online time attack mode and i tried saving the replay and uploading and some red words appeared and i am assuming its saying you have to be top 10 to upload a replay. |
Posted by: Tomo Jul 28 2008, 04:27 PM |
it wont let me upload mine, so I have no idea. |

When you guys say "on the list" is that the online TA ranking? How can you get yourself ranked? I did a 2'42 on Akagi TA single player mode and I went online but it does nto update for me and there is no where you can upload.... how can I get on the list? |
Posted by: Silfa Jul 30 2008, 03:33 PM |
you have to go to network mode, then the 3rd option, to upload your replays as time attack records. |
Posted by: Aksio Jul 30 2008, 04:50 PM |
I tried that, but it didn't work oh well.... Does it take very long for you guys to load and see the TA ranking list? |
Posted by: Tomo Jul 30 2008, 05:27 PM
only you and billy post lol. i know a few people that are in the 2'44 and below range actually... 5 i think. and yeah I know apple in real life, she has been hardcore iro player since I met her a few years ago. |

How much of a difference is there from the Extreme Stage times to ID4's times? I have no clue what is slow or fast. |
Posted by: Silfa Aug 13 2008, 11:50 AM |
i know for Iro, the record is in the low 2'40"xxx's. and the extreme IR is 41 so far. http://sega-initiald.net/p/ranking/2-1.html check the official idnet ranking list. i was curious myself |

theres not tooo much difference from what iv seen like theres already a 2'45'4 tsukuba ob video for IDES by pika... im not sure if its WR yet i only ordered my copy yesturday so i cant see what the WR's are atm for ides but that video is not far off the ID4 1.5 WR ....which pika has for tsukuba ob ... |

Posted by: dj. Aug 15 2008, 01:41 AM |
Random question, but to show up in the rankings for a track (other than the fact you have to be in the top #100), do you have to save and upload a saved replay? I did that, but it hasn't shown up yet. But reguardless I got a 2:55 on Happo fwd. Not sure how this compares here. |
Posted by: Silfa Aug 15 2008, 01:49 AM |
what you need to do is save the replay. go into network mode, then select the 3rd option. then i think its the 2nd option or 3rd to upload your replay. select it then let it finish uploading and it should be done. |
Posted by: jenova Aug 15 2008, 01:54 AM |
i did a 2'50"029 on Iro DH Dry with me BNR34 but i still don't understand when i watched the vid of some guy who done a 2'44"xxx on the same car hitting a couple of walls yet speed doesn't go down O_o doesn't make sense, some kind of wall-magnet thing i don't know about, really need some info there.... |
Posted by: Silfa Aug 15 2008, 02:00 AM |
who was that? billy has a 43 and a 44 video and i hav a 44 vid as well. its all about turning in early, wall rape, countersteer and go. |

What S13? LOL. If you mean the Sil80. It's alright. I do better in it than the Levin for some reason. FC is alright too, but I think I still prefer the FD. |

Posted by: jenova Aug 16 2008, 02:07 AM |
that's right! it was that video from billy. About that wall rape or wall hugging...how does that work? i mean i THINK i'm doing it too but only at the apex of the corners which kinda slingshots me right out of the corner. Does this wallrape also applies to small corners like myogi or tsui? |
Posted by: MzdaspD Aug 16 2008, 02:39 AM |
I started off just raping to the apex and braking. Now I'm starting to take wide turns and raping the apex. But I moved on from dh and working on uh. |

update: AE86T FT Akina DH dry: 3'7'xxx -> 3'6'xxx Akagi UH dry: 2'52'xxx -> 2'47'xxx Ugh, I think 3'6 is my limit I finally gave in and watched one of those akina DH speedruns; How they can hit 160+ before the first hairpin and come out of it with crazy acceleration is beyond me >_< |
Posted by: Silfa Aug 16 2008, 08:38 AM |
kevin actually you can run iiro about the same. i hit 2'45"3xx with a 86T |
Posted by: henshin Aug 16 2008, 02:22 PM |
small update: Akagi UH dry: 2'47 - 2'43 |
Posted by: Silfa Aug 16 2008, 02:34 PM |
damm nice henshin with what car? |
Posted by: Tomo Aug 16 2008, 03:50 PM |
2'41'670 akagi UH rx8 read these posts and gave it 4 tries |
Posted by: henshin Aug 16 2008, 05:37 PM
I did it with a AE86T, FT of course. That V turn is giving me problems though >_> |
Posted by: sannin Aug 16 2008, 06:28 PM
i hate that turn with a passion. are you wallraping that turn? |
Posted by: henshin Aug 16 2008, 08:14 PM |
^depends on which wall you're talking about. If it's wallraping inner wall, then no. If it's the outer wall, then yes LOL. That's the only turn that makes my run of akagi UH inconsistent, that and the corner which I call the yellow corner (the turn after the V turn, with yellow on the wall if you know what I mean). I gotta learn how to wallrape, it seems thats the only way I could get lower times >_> |
Posted by: Tomo Aug 16 2008, 08:48 PM |
i suck at tsukuba IB, stuck on 2'51'2 with rx8 god i should watch a video or something |
Posted by: (FD3S)Driver Aug 16 2008, 08:53 PM |
i just got 2'40"837 akagi uh and 2'50"260 tsukuba ib with my rx8 akagi uh sounded fun so i gave it a try |
Posted by: Tomo Aug 16 2008, 09:34 PM |
god i remember why i hate happo so much... im still f**kin stuck on 2'46 on IB it's impossible to put together a total run with these crack-ass physics |
Posted by: (FD3S)Driver Aug 16 2008, 09:58 PM
i cant even get 2'55 anymore at happo ib or ob i gotta say tomo you own that course |
Posted by: Silfa Aug 16 2008, 10:53 PM |
damm nice jd, looks like i need to practice akagi uh more. |
Posted by: (FD3S)Driver Aug 16 2008, 11:57 PM |
i just got 2'43"461 akagi uh wet with my rx8 that v turn when its wet is hard |
Posted by: henshin Aug 17 2008, 04:43 AM |
Yeah, akagi UH imo is much more fun than DH, not only that but it seems easier to me I think i'm going to work on my tsukaba time. AE86T OB dry: 2'59, yuck edit: oops, mixed up my tsukaba time with my iro >_> sorry |
Posted by: Tomo Aug 17 2008, 01:11 PM
yeah it's a b*tch. I am garbage at akagi, I just drove super conservative and slow to get my 2'41 lol i'm pretty sure i could squeeze into sub 40 territory but really it's just not fun enough for me to keep on doing it haha. back to the headache that is happo i guess... |
Posted by: BDDEE@ Aug 19 2008, 08:49 AM |
yooo i just got my copy yesturday played a little bit of story mode but playing abit of TA today on akagi, did 2'44'1 with controller...so many wall hits hahaha now all i need is a g25 xD |
Posted by: Dat Chau Aug 20 2008, 12:41 PM |
Damn, just on 2'44 on controller? I suck with my 2'46"006 with my FC3S on Akagi DHD, and I'm using the freaking G25... |
Posted by: sannin Aug 20 2008, 10:25 PM |
new akina dh record... 3'05"32x ... beat my old record by 10th of a second lol updated video will be up on sig soon. |
Posted by: Dat Chau Aug 21 2008, 03:37 PM |
New Akagi DHD record with my FC, 2'42"xxx. Getting used to the physics and my pink shirted character. EDIT: FINALLY got my 2'41'352 after arm breaking practicing... Also uploaded my replay in the top 100! I should be somewhere at the bottom of that list within the next 10 days.... |
Posted by: initiald34 Aug 23 2008, 08:45 PM |
wow i just read that the key to this game is brake control and not hittin the wall. i just lowered my time at akina dh from 3'18" to 3'10" in about 10 minutes lol. im surprised |
Posted by: MzdaspD Aug 23 2008, 09:14 PM |
Yup You have to learn your brake points well and yes, you do have to avoid the walls in most courses but there is a certain wallrape technique for irohazka. If you interested, it'll explain about this technique further more in the Irohazka thread we have. But, you can also have amazing times without wallraping. I suggest you taking the time to watch some of the videos what members have posted in the Video request thread Good Luck in improving your times man. |
Posted by: initiald34 Aug 23 2008, 09:21 PM |
thanks, im actually winning some online battles now lol. actually getting close to beating the S rank players too haha. used to get dusted hundreds of meters but now like around 50-100m |
Posted by: MzdaspD Aug 23 2008, 09:43 PM |
haha not bad, are you using a controller or a wheel? |
Posted by: initiald34 Aug 23 2008, 09:50 PM |
im usin the old driving force for ps2. works pretty well cuz i used to play special stage with it. this game is so different than special stage and v3 lol |
Posted by: MzdaspD Aug 23 2008, 10:52 PM |
Yeah, most of us prefer idav3 a lot more than idav4/ides. It's just the physics of the game thats different and all |
Posted by: initiald34 Aug 24 2008, 08:55 PM |
yay im down to 3'07"331 akina dh now down to 3'06"5xx |
Posted by: icedagger Sep 3 2008, 02:32 AM |
Dammit, using a controller for this game is effin hard. It sucks getting a 135 exit on the first hairpin of Akina DH only to smash into the wall a few moments later because of lack of steering precision. Hopefully the wheel I ordered gets here soon. Anyway, how are these times? Akagi DHD: 2'41"8xx (AE86T) Akagi UHD: 2'46"7xx (GC8) Akina DHD: 3'08'0xx (AE86T) Happo IB D: 2'55'9xx (AE86T) |
Posted by: jenova Sep 3 2008, 02:52 AM |
i just began practicing on Akagi DHD (got abit tired of Iro DHD) and i actually got it down from 2"46'362 to 2"41'900 in my BNR34! YAY! just wondering how hard it is to get under 2"41'000.... |
Posted by: divinity Jy Sep 3 2008, 06:06 AM
Those times are actually really good for controller imo. Congrats. |
Posted by: icedagger Sep 4 2008, 08:18 AM |
Ah, okay, thanks for the feedback. Anyway I tried attacking Akagi UH with my Trueno, and managed to lower my time to 2'43. My CP3 and 4 are horrible. |
Posted by: jcali1986 Sep 4 2008, 12:10 PM |
just hit 2'42"3xx on akagi DH with a full tune FD3S also with a controller ...... sadly im still playing on my asian version though. |
Posted by: dizzi Sep 8 2008, 08:51 AM |
Just got the game and eek the controller sucks 2'42 flat S200 on Myogi DH edit 2'41''407 now |
Posted by: henshin Sep 10 2008, 03:48 PM |
I haven't played in SOOO long, however I gave my ol AE86 FT for a spin on Akina DHD. I finally made it from a 3'6 to a 3'5'7xx :DDD |
Posted by: initiald34 Sep 10 2008, 09:06 PM |
i gave akagi a try and ran a 2:43 with an 86 |

2'50 happo IBW r34 and 2'49'5 tsu IB r34... fun to play randomly. |
Posted by: icedagger Sep 12 2008, 07:50 PM |
2'38'7xx AE86 on Akagi DH D (controller). My G25 arrived a few days ago but I can't use it yet since I don't have a table in the room with the ps3. |

AE86T FT Tsukaba IB Dry(<--i'm not sure if it's IB or OB, I picked the 1st option) 2'54'4xx Akina DHD 3'05'7xx --> 3'04'74x |

2:42 on Akagi w/ BNR34. Scratch that, just got 2:39!!! Had a go at it the second time same car. From 2:39:250 to 2:36:098!!! |
Posted by: icedagger Sep 16 2008, 02:57 AM |
wow, you should go make a bnr34 card for IDAS4, you just beat the mr by 19 seconds (looks like nobody's posting bnr34 times for v1.5). Nice job. |
Posted by: TogueRacer Sep 16 2008, 09:29 AM |
Thanks man. I was freaked out when I saw it. I think I'd better just stick with the console. |
Posted by: Guate in evoV Sep 16 2008, 01:46 PM |
akina dhd 3'07'xxx with FT evo 4 mess up alot....im stil not used to this game...it seems faster then the arcade.... so i tend to brake alot more then i do when i used to play the arcade. also getting used to the logitec g25...im sure i can get a a 3'02'xxx with a few more tries. iro dhd 2'49'xxx with FT evo 4 its so hard to play iro with the care that i use when using the g25...lol dont want to brake it. |
Posted by: TogueRacer Sep 17 2008, 02:32 AM |
Yo, got any tips on how to achieve better times in Akina DH? The best I've done there is 3:14. So thanks. One problem, when I put rear bumpers on my GT-R R34 I noticed it was slower in Akagi by 1 second. Anyone know what happened? And why it couldn't get a 2:39 anymore? |
Posted by: icedagger Sep 20 2008, 06:27 AM |
Well, I'd tell you to stay off the walls for the most part, but if you can run 2'39 on Akagi you probably know that already. Anyway, try improving your CP2 and 3. In particular you need to get a good, clean exits on CP2's 2nd hairpin, the RHOD, and the 3-lane turn. Making a mistake on any of those turns will cost you precious seconds. because of the long straights that come after them. As for the bumpers slowing you down, I have no idea. I always thought external parts were purely cosmetic... -------- Anyway, I just lowered my time on Akagi UH to 2'37"7xx... It was an ok run, but the L-Section was made of FAIL (131 exit, FTL) EDIT: Down to 2'37"3xx #9 on IR. |
Posted by: (FD3S)Driver Sep 20 2008, 10:16 PM |
i just got a 3'08"111 on akina uh |

Was bored and couldn't sleep, so I figured I'd go ahead and organize all the time submitted by members so we can have our own time attack rankings. If I missed anything or if I noted down the wrong time, please inform me right away. IDW Total Time Attack Ranking: Dry Lake Akina CCW:

2 thumbs up for icedagger!!!! o yeah, you flipped me and Jy around in iro dh, and the car i used for iro uh was miata. Imma beat those records once i recieve my clamp extensions =) |
Posted by: (FD3S)Driver Oct 8 2008, 03:52 PM
these are all times that ive tried hard on
hey icedagger can you add these to your list? |
Posted by: icedagger Oct 8 2008, 10:54 PM |
Yeah, I added most of them already. Let me know if I missed any. Maybe I should split the ranks off to a new topic? This thread should still be used for posting the times people get, but maybe have a separate ranking page? EDIT: Oh and I'm only listing the person's best time, just so we don't have one person monopolizing the rankings using different cars. |
Posted by: (FD3S)Driver Oct 8 2008, 11:47 PM
you missed my iro times and thanks for putting my times up |
Posted by: BDDEE@ Oct 9 2008, 06:03 AM |
akina dh 3'01'5 s2000 akagi dh 2'34'5 FD3S akagi uh 2'38'7 s2000 akina uh 3'07'9 dc2 there some of mine maybe this IR thing should be on a new thread??? |
Posted by: MzdaspD Oct 9 2008, 02:21 PM |
yeah, it would much much more convenient if it was on the first page EDIT* Just hit 2'50"156 iro dh wet =) not bad for the first day after a 3 month break. there is room for potential! haha please put that time up on the new thread icedagger. Thanks |

Posted by: icedagger Oct 17 2008, 12:07 PM |
I just ran 2'36"380 on Akagi DH W with a 5-5-5-4-4 NA6CE. I love this car! I can't wait for FT. I didn't really bother to push it this time around(CP3 was +"900, ), but I'll give it another try after I FT it. EDIT: I just broke the world record on Akagi DH W... And the car wasn't even FTed. 2'35"246 with a 6-6-5-5-4 roadster. |
Posted by: BrassMonkey Oct 20 2008, 02:31 PM |
Hey icedagger u think u can post my time? Irohazaka 2'54'321 its the fastest time I could go on iro I can't go no faster than that. Everytime I try to beat my record I all ways screw up at the end after the jumps can't break my record time so can u plz add me time? thx |
Posted by: MzdaspD Oct 20 2008, 04:10 PM |
you using the wallrape technique? are you using a wheel or controller? |
Posted by: icedagger Oct 20 2008, 06:46 PM
Added. I assume that's a downhill dry record? What car did you use? |
Posted by: BrassMonkey Oct 20 2008, 07:59 PM |
For the car I used for that time was a sileighty. Yes and it was downhill. Thank You for posting my time. Because I quit time attacking Irohazaka, because it got boring, and stressed out of that course. The reason why I gave up on that course is because of the countless errors I get from the end of the course. |
Posted by: icedagger Oct 23 2008, 06:35 PM |
Did a few runs on Akagi UH wet: NA6CE: 2'39"611 - The only thing holding me back is the slow acceleration since my NA isn't full tune yet. Entry and exit speeds are bit slow, as a result. Without any further tuning I could probably push this to a mid 38. The car handles alright on UH W, though it seems to oversteer a bit and is a little hard to control. FC3S: 2'38"528 - Almost got the WR with this one. FC is unusually stable on UH wet. The stiff turning makes taking the v-turn a real problem though. Took me a few tries to get a decent exit, but even that had a slight tail tap on exit. I'll give the FD a try tomorrow. EDIT: Hmm, just ran a 2'38"2xx with an FD, breaking the world record by 100 milliseconds. Theory is currently a low 37. (Crashed on the last turn on this run, and messed up on the turn just before the end of CP3) Strangely enough, my CP2 on wet seems to be faster than on dry. |

so how many new people are playing this game? still lags when you battle people online? |
Posted by: icedagger Nov 27 2008, 06:53 PM |
Yeah, it still lags, and that's if you can actually get into a battle. Hardly anybody plays online anymore. Or at least that's what the folks at the GameFaqs board say. I haven't touched the game in over a month... Sad. |
Posted by: Silfa Nov 28 2008, 07:37 AM |
i haven't been on in over at least 4-5 months. |
Posted by: TB_InuYasha_X Nov 28 2008, 10:54 AM
When I go on, I don't find many american's to race. But I've become faster after I got used to shifting down in the corners while cornering... that was my major downfall because I was so used to ver 3. But now I can adapt to both games easily. I love my new sil-eighty. |
Posted by: Poznanman Nov 29 2008, 09:23 PM |
Just got 2'56"343 on Iro with my EA11R. And yah, that's with the mighty controller. I know I have a ways to catch up to the other times, but this was my first TA under 3 min so I'm pretty happy. I have found that playing in the arcade has helped my ability when I play at home even though I only have a controller at home. |
Posted by: MzdaspD Dec 1 2008, 06:51 PM
I doubt they will ever have any updates to this game |
