It's bad enough to be so impatient about rips becoming available, but then to brazenly say you have no interest in buying the CD...

But no really, I understand that not every song on the album is to your tastes (I only like one), but these artists still work hard and put everything into these numbers. Uploading it to here really hurts them money-wise. The people that upload here do it for those that can't afford the discs but still want to hear and support the artists...IN SPIRIT! |

No it actually doesn't. If someone pirates an album that doesn't mean it's a lost sale. The reason why Eurobeat fans don't buy the albums legaly is because its either too expansive or they can't obtain it in the first place. Avex is only releasing SEB in Japan so you either have to pay 20€ for the album and then 5-7 € for shipping and maybe also taxes. People can't afford to do that every 2 months. Someone obtained the album and they (Avex) didn't get any money from it when they could have. Some money is better than no money. This post has been edited by fettman53 on Oct 27 2014, 02:43 AM |

No. Here is the difference between 2 mentalities of people that pirate media content: "I want to buy Product X (Movie, TV Show or Music doesn't matter) but it is not avilable in my country/not avilable as a digital download/not avilable in general and I want to buy it but I can't so I have to pirate it." <---- lost sale. If you want to get a better sense of what such a customer thinks you should read this comic: http://theoatmeal.com/comics/game_of_thrones "I was never intending to buy the product in the pirst place" <---- Not a lost sale I (and other people) would buy (more) SEB albums legally if the would offer them in FLAC format worldwide. Avex just doesn't care. More on the Topic: EA Admits Pirated Copies Do Not Equal Lost Sales Swiss Goverment: Piracy Is OK, Because It Leads to Sales

They wouldn't have bought it anyway (either because they were unable or didn't want to), so no, it isn't. You can't get blood from a rock.

Reading my post again I did come across as a dick I guess what I wanted to say was that I've gotten used to quick uploads and came to the conclusion that it wasn't gonna happen at all this time, which is a bit of a leap And I can't even explain that last part, just venting I guess. So I apologize

It's not being sold to begin with. Hmm. I guess I just figured if someone has your product without paying for it that it was a lost sale. Or something close to it. Just...ignore me then? If no one uploads 231, I'm not going to buy it. I already heard the previews and it sounds pretty shit to me, it's not worth the 40+ dollars I end up spending to import them. If someone does upload it, I'll download it to see if any of the tracks sound better in full, however it's not a lost sale, because I never intended on buying it in the first place. In fact, it actually encourages sales in the end, because if I find some of the tracks are way better in full, I always go to itunes and buy the ones I like.

I like the idea of supporting things I like, and I like to support my favorite artists. This is far more affordable for me to do than buying the full disc. [ Post made via Mobile Device ] |

Why don't you try the YouTube playlist? You won't need FLAC audio quality to decide to buy or not. :v

The reason why, just recently, I had the courage to create an account and stop lurking: I don't give a f*** anymore hehe nothing to do with "happy genre" or anything, it's probably because we're freaking small and always the same people since way back. same "problems" and discussions same avex same labels, same producers all the same always
