Hey everyone XD! I don't know how many of you actually tuned in while I was the DJ, but my session started at around 1:30 A.M. (Central time) and it ended about three minutes ago. So, I was on the mic for four hours and thirty minutes. I hope for the ones who DID tune in enjoyed the music that was being played happy.gif

I'll be playing after DJ Shithead (Dave Rodgers) and covering the later hours. Today, my session ended at around 4:00 A.M. Pacific time. I don't know if I'll DJ that long every weekday, but there's really no reason why I couldn't.

So, those of you who are insomniacs or are like me and just don't sleep until morning, be bored no more! For I shall provide entertainment for the night owls and nocturnal with my Power of Sound!

Anyone who listened to my first performance last night, please feel free to give feedback here! I look forward to being a DJ in the future for you guys as well ^^!

Here is a list of the music I'll be playing throughout my sessions:

Eurobeat (naturally)
Music from video games
Japanese Pop
Korean Pop
Random music from anime

I'll mix it up from time to time. Feel free to throw in a request and try to provide the download if possible. I don't have every song XD

Well, I'm going to sleep now. It was a good run! Thanks goes out to all of those who listened to my session happy.gif!

EDIT: Here is something I put together a few minutes ago, FINALLY got a few things right in the picture x_x...in any case, I know I'm not a graphic genius or anything like that, so...sorry for it not being as creative as others you guys have probably seen, but I hope you enjoy it regardless laugh.gif!

Epic radio show. Worthy of a successor to DJ Shithead if I get B&.

Fukken loved it. XD

I checked it out tonight since I was still up... Boy was I shocked when I heard your voice... It's deeper than I expected... From chats on AIM, I thought you'd have a hyper voice or something... ><

Keep up the great work Kikumaru!

Hi Eiji-kun,

I'm sorry I didn't make it to your show last night but, if you feel up for it and DJ Phoenix definitely can't make it, you could help us cover his hours (from 7 to 11pm). What do you think?

Take care, Sanae.

I just woke up a few minutes ago, but I'll see what I can do for the remainder of the time ^^

Oh, so you are DJ Eiji. I saw the banner on the forum, but was on the cell, so could not tune in. sad.gif

I didn't know who it was. laugh.gif

Hahaha laugh.gif! Makes me wish I named myself, "DJ Anonymous" XD. Try to tune in some time if ya get the chance happy.gif

Hm, you won't have this freedom every Sunday night. XP

Posted by: Tetsuya Hikari Jul 8 2007, 10:55 PM
Dude, I got on because you WASN'T on -.-'...it's not about freedom. If you want to talk about "freedom", then exercise the freedom to kick me off if I'm on during your session. I was only covering for you since you wasn't on the air.

Next time, don't get so upset for someone trying to do you a favor. Also, kick me off if I'm on during your session and you are able to get on, instead of coming in here complaining, as if you couldn't do something about it.

Thanks happy.gif

I was just a little confused happy.gif

Right, so you come in here and complain about me being on during your time, then call it a joke? So in other words, you don't really CARE if someone takes over your time slot, then? I wonder which one it is whistling.gif

Anyway, I've been up since Midnight yesterday and I'm just now getting to sleep, so I won't be on for tonight's session. I doubt I'll wake up in time...*yawns*

Dude, even I don't care if you post in my thread with pointless spam to continue this stupidity even further. In any case, this is meant to advertise and whatnot, so..I'll be requesting a lock for this soon to stop the idiocy from spreading.

Keep up the good work happy.gif

Posted by: Tetsuya Hikari Jul 21 2007, 01:38 AM
Well, I requested upon Pear-chan to use his level 99 lockpicking skills to open the thread back up, so I can post updates and such, aaaaaaaand so it doesn't fall down the list, due to lack of replies laugh.gif!

In any case, I hope you all enjoyed the show last night and for tomorrow's session I'm thinking about playing Ayumi Hamasaki music the whole hour. Not the ORIGINAL mixes, but Euro and such.

Tell me what you guys think happy.gif

EDIT: Also! I almost forgot XD..here's the song Some Trueno requested that I played during my show. It's a song from the newest Guilty Gear installment, "Guilty Gear XX: Accent Core". It's the theme for Ky VS Order Sol.

Enjoy!

http://www.sendspace.com/file/pdj9fp

EDIT2: Alright guys! Tonight's session shall be known as....

AYU-HOUR!

So, just to let you all know in advance, I will NOT be taking any requests tonight, since all I will be playing is the remixes of Ayumi Hamasaki's music. So, I apologize for the inconvenience, but I hope that you all will enjoy the show anyway happy.gif!

Also, for those of you who don't see this announcement, well..I'll make an announcement over the radio about this BEFORE my show, so..either way, you'll find out what's going on XD!

Hope to see you there laugh.gif!

EDIT3: So! I don't know how many people actually enjoyed the Ayu session last night, but I hope a lot of people did! In any case, I'm rather tired at the moment, so..here it the song "DanteSS3" has requested that was playing during the show. I hope he looks in here to find it XD

Enjoy happy.gif

I enjoyed the one-hour Ayumi Hamasaki show, kenz0rz !! I also like your promo (intermission). Although it would be better if you have more intermission though. grin2.gif Anyways, looking forward to your next show. =)

Posted by: Rudy Jul 22 2007, 09:48 AM
You should spend more time on YIM. :3

Good job btw. Caught a few minutes of the remix hour but had to boot. Wish I could've listened to it all. T_T

Posted by: Tetsuya Hikari Jul 22 2007, 01:38 PM
Thanks for the comments guys. Sorry for the technical difficulties before the show. I was recording a few things earlier in the day and forgot to select the Stereo Mix box after I had finished =/

In any case, tonight will be back to the regular schedule of, "Power of Sound" which will consist of a variety of music, ranging from Eurobeat to Anime to Game Music, etc. Also, I don't really get on Yahoo much at ALL anymore..mainly cause my screen names are just eh..quite dirty laugh.gif!

Anyway, I hope you guys tune in later tonight as well! Hope to see you there happy.gif!

EDIT: Also, Pear-chan...it was called Ayu-Hour, but it was in fact two hours, since that's how long my session is, lol. I just don't really have anything better to call a session for a particular artist that's over an hour, except for just something like *insert artist's name here*-Hour.

I don't think anybody will pick at me too much about that, telling me, "But how can this be called Ayu-Hour when it's TWO hours?! n00b! I would hope the listeners are more focused what music I'm playing, instead of what I'm calling the show and trying to get me for political correctness XD

EDIT2: Tonight's session will be a BIT random! I'm going to see how it turns out, what the opinions are about it and such, then go from there. So, be expecting a LOT of different music during my session!

Hope you tune in laugh.gif!

EDIT3: Sorry for starting a bit later than usual! I was on the phone with a friend of mine and didn't want to start playing my music loud while talking with him XD. Anyway, sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused ^.^;

Just remember to check your audio settings before getting on the air and you'll be fine I think.

Great shows man. Sorry for not commenting before.

Your doing great....

Keep it up....

I'll be listening, so whenever you mess up, I will know, and I will laugh at you. > : D

Last night's session went over REALLY well laugh.gif! I want to thank all of those who tuned in and listened to my show last night! You have all helped in bringing my highest count of listeners up to a grand total of....

21!!!

Also! The Peak Listeners for the night was 20, which was set by DJ Shithead and you all allowed me to be the favorite DJ of the day by breaking that record by ONE happy.gif!

It honestly does make me happy to know that there are people out there listening to my show and are enjoying it. I'm glad to entertain you with my music and hope that you continue listening! Please feel free to leave some comments in here after listening to my show and let me know what you think laugh.gif!

Well, I'm a little tired right now, so...I'm going to go to sleep. Thanks again everyone hug.gif!!

P.S. A special thanks goes out to DJ Shithead for bringing a smile to my face with his congratulatory song that he played after my session. Thanks again happy.gif!!

DJ Eiji music.gif

EDIT: My session was a bit short last night (just a little over an hour), but here is the song that someone requested for me to post that was played during my show! I'm not absolutely certain what the title is, since I ripped it off a CD I haven't listened to in YEARS, but..I want to say it's the techno remix for Aeris's theme from Final Fantasy VII.

In any case, enjoy happy.gif

Thank you for all of those who tuned in to my show earlier! Now! I have an important announcement to make to all of you! This Thursday..and this Thursday ONLY....I will be hosting a FULL...two hours of DAVE RODGERS!!

I know some of you who are reading this are probably going, "Awwww..booooooooo!! I don't want to listen to Dave Rodgers for a whole two hours!", but that's fine. You don't have to listen if you don't want to. It's as simple as that. However! I believe this show will be really great!

AUGUST 2ND OF THE YEAR 2007 we make history for IDW Radio...

--------------

I know it's off-topic, but it's also uncalled for. Please refrain from posting about another DJ in my thread. This is meant to discuss about my shows. For example: This would be like me going into DJ Shithead's thread and just posting something like, "Man, DJ Phoenix Wright's session was pretty awesome last night, huh?" instead of talking about HIS session.

Dori
------
It's actually going to be TWO hours, but hey..who's counting, right? Also, there's a PM system for a reason. Stop flooding my thread begging me to get on Yahoo. Also, don't expect me to get on any faster if you call me a, "hoe". Thanks.

Just coming in to make a poast about tonight's show :3

Audacity is giving me an error every time I try to open it up, so I can't record an intro for tonight. Regardless, just to let you guys know..the show tonight will consist of techno, trance, that sort of thing. I'm honestly not sure how many people here are into the genre, but nevertheless..I hope you guys tune in and enjoy happy.gif

I'll be starting the show at 8:30 P.M. CST and it will last for 2 hours and 14 minutes. I hope those who can attend will enjoy it and feel free to leave any comments in this thread, use a shoutout during the show, or PM me.

Thanks smile.gif

If there's a show on, even at such an odd time as a weekday, I'll be listening.

Hope some people camp the IDW chatroom as well tonight. shifty2.gif

Posted by: Tetsuya Hikari Jun 17 2008, 03:55 PM
Hey thanks. I'd really appreciate it if you could tune in too ohmy.gif

My max amount of listeners last night was like..10 or 11 I think? After about halfway into the show though, it kept fluxuating between 6 and 7. I do hope some come into the chat though. Through the whole 3 hours and 38 minutes or so of my show last night, there was only four people in the room, not all at once either, mind you.

It was me, Fuse (who never even spoke anyway >.>), then Shale came in and left immediately after, then Fist Hokuto came in and we talked about MGS4 for a good 45 minutes or so, then he had to get some sleep for work in the morning. The rest of the night, it was desolate x_x

Well, I'll hope for better results in the room AND for the show tonight happy.gif

Posted by: Tessou Jun 17 2008, 04:00 PM
Hopefully the usual gang gets off their asses and checks out the chat room then. I hate the prospect of a lonely room just as much as you do. laugh.gif

Posted by: Tetsuya Hikari Jun 17 2008, 07:47 PM
A thanks goes out to all of those who tuned in! If you have any questions or comments about the show, feel free to leave them here, send them as a shoutout during my show, or PM me.

I'm not entirely sure yet if I'll come back as an active DJ, but I'm thinking about it at the moment. I'll let you guys know if I come to a decision soon. In any case, thanks again for tuning in everybody happy.gif

Posted by: SgtXDNX Jun 17 2008, 10:39 PM
Sorry I missed the show guys, Drulz and I were at work >_>

Posted by: Tetsuya Hikari Jun 17 2008, 11:12 PM
It's not a problem. Nomake was as well and I'm sure he would have tuned in. I just hosted it a bit too early, that's all. I'll try to plan a better for future shows, so I can get more listeners, since there will actually be people home and not asleep yet music.gif

EDIT: Since I can't double post until a certain amount of time has passed, editing this post was the way to go. In any case! I am here to officially announce that I will be returning to IDW as your DJ for Friday nights from 11:00 P.M. to 1:00 A.M. just before DJ Phoenix Wright goes on, so you can expect your Friday nights to be even MORE epic than they used to be.

I am also here to announce that there will be a new segment introduced to my show this Friday titled, "Eiji's Box". I will take up to three questions from the members of IDW and answer them at the end of the show. The procedure is quite simple. I will answer the first three questions which are sent to me, whether it be through this thread or my PM box, if I reach my second question and I notice someone sent me a PM and there was another question posted in this thread, then I will gauge the times of both, then accept the one which was sent sooner.

The rules for submitting a question to the box are quite easy. First, you must fill in the form and start with a form of hello, followed by, "DJ Eiji", so..for example, "Dear DJ Eiji", "What's up DJ Eiji", "Hey DJ Eiji", so forth and so on. Secondly, you will post your question after the opening. It can only be ONE question and if you try to take advantage of this by finding a loop in the system by running a long 38 line sentence together, thinking I will accept that as one question, think again. Try to keep things short and sweet if at all possible.

Also, be civil. For example, don't write something like, "Hey DJ Eiji, why is it that your show fails?", "Yo DJ Eiji, could you tell your mom I said, "Hi" ?", etc. You get the point. If I see any sort of vulgarity or immaturity in your question and notice that you were hoping I read it to everyone and make a fool out of myself for you to get some "lulz", your entry will be disqualified and I will go to the next person who had the closest time after your entry.

Last, but not least..after you have written out your question, I ask that you sign with your name or a pen name of some sort (as long as it's not vulgar or immature, such as, "Your mom") followed by the state you live in, or if you are out of state, then your continent or country. In the end, your entry should be something like this:

"Hey DJ Eiji.

What made you want to become a DJ for IDW?

Ralph from California"

Or from people residing outside of the United States:

"Hello DJ Eiji.

What is your favorite kind of music?

Takehiro from Sapporo, Japan"

Now, your questions don't HAVE to be music related. They can be related to music, video games, anime, politics, religion, anything you can think of really. Just remember that it must be civil, so don't try to make an ass out of yourself by sending something immature, trying to get me to read it out loud.

The only other thing I would like to point out is, I would suggest just sending the questions through my PM box, so you can remain anonymous. I don't read out your username when answering the question on the air. I'll be reading out what you signed the letter with. So if you don't want people to know you were the one that asked that funny question, I would suggest not posting it in the thread, cause people WILL know, lol.

Other than that, I'll be working on a new poster for the show at some point later, since I no longer air after DJ Shithead and my timeslot is different this time, so if people were to refer to my poster on the first page, they would be confused as to why I don't air at Midnight. I'll probably try to work on that this weekend. It's already Wednesday today, so it was a bit of a short notice, talking to Perry tonight, getting to put me up on the schedule, so I won't have a new poster made before this Friday's show.

Anyway, if you have any questions about anything that I have stated here or need some clarification on something, feel free to ask through the thread or PM me and I will get back with you as soon as I can. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I look forward to the new segment this Friday, so send those questions in happy.gif

Things happened last night, so I had to leave the chat room (and my home) rather early. Sorry about that, man.

Posted by: Tetsuya Hikari Jun 18 2008, 08:10 AM
Don't worry, I can take a hint of what kind of things happened, which caused you to leave your home and the chatroom yesterday *nudge nudge, wink wink, cough cough*

shifty2.gif

Posted by: Tessou Jun 18 2008, 04:07 PM
It was work-related. My job is in intelligence with the military, so when they need me for something, I have to drop everything and get my ass to the building ASAP. Protecting the country takes precedence over a chat room, you know? I'm considered important enough (the government did happen to spend a shitload of dough on my training) that I'm required to be within a certain distance of the workcenter at all times until my enlistment runs out in 2012. Even if I take leave, I cannot move outside a certain radius without like 3 pages of approval/clearance signatures, and they'll still have agents nearby to make sure I'm not hightailing it out of the country with government secrets.

In related news, we shut down the entire base for the last two days to the effect that unless you happened to be some mega-huge General or the President, you aren't getting past the gate.

Posted by: Tetsuya Hikari Jun 20 2008, 03:49 PM
Alright guys. I've only got one question to read tonight for the new segment titled, "Eiji's Box". You still have about four hours to submit your question through my PM box or this thread. If you are unaware of how it works, please scroll up a little bit where I explained it in an edit for a previous post I made.

Anyway, I hope you can tune in tonight for my first official airing. It will be at 11:00 P.M. through 1:00 A.M. Central Standard Time. If you have any questions or comments about the show, please feel free to leave them here in the thread, PM me, or make a shoutout during the show.

Thanks happy.gif

So, I was thinking...for those of you that usually tune in, how would you like it if I actually dedicated a show to some English music instead? I was looking through my old CDs that I used to listen to a few years ago and I can play some music from Deftones, Bush, Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails, 8 Stops 7, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and some others.

I figured since I've been airing nothing but Japanese music and Eurobeat since I've been a DJ for IDW, I was just wondering how you guys feel about this kind of show instead.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks happy.gif

Sounds pretty good to me.

Posted by: Tetsuya Hikari Jul 2 2008, 11:43 AM
This completely slipped my mind, but...my show falls on Independence Day, soooo....I'm going to hold off on the previously announced show, since it seems a little risky. Seeing as it will be July 4th, I'll hold a DDR party for this Friday! Since all of the music will be from DDR, there should be a fairly good amount of songs (they are usually 1:30 or 2:00 long).

So yeah, I'll do the other show a little later. For those of you who won't be going out and doing anything for the 4th, be sure to tune in at 11:00 P.M. - 1:00 A.M. Central Standard Time for the DDR special.

Hope to see you there happy.gif

EDIT: I decided to go ahead and pick out the songs already and have formed a playlist, but haven't exactly placed them in a proper order. I also haven't added intermissions yet either, but the playlist will consist of 60 songs. The only song in the playlist NOT from DDR is Akira Yamaoka's "Empty of the Sky" which is from Beatmania IIDX. Also, there are other songs from DDR that I have, but are the full versions, so they will sound longer than the original.

Progress bar: [|||||||||||||||||] 100% complete

EDIT2: The songs have been placed in a particular order finally, so I've set it up to where all of the rather fast paced songs are placed together, so you get one right after another. I'm pretty sure the amount of listeners will be pretty small this Friday, but regardless...I have a good feeling about this one. If you're a DDR enthusiast or you just like fast paced music in general, then be sure to tune in this Friday music.gif

Whoever "The God in White" was in the chat room barking about DJ Eiji and screwing up the show aka the guy that said he was a guest here: quit it. We don't need drama in the chat room either.

Fast music + Alcohol = confusion for me, but I enjoy that kind of music. Too bad I could never dance to it, let alone on the dance pad. laugh.gif

Kiku, before I head off for the night, I just want to apologize for being a dick Nomake's thread. I let my horrid bias towards N1 get to me, and I'm sorry. Your show doesn't suck, really. I shouldn't have been such a prick about something like that, but I did.

I look forward to working with you in the future. happy.gif

Posted by: Tetsuya Hikari Jul 4 2008, 08:50 PM
I should've been the first to apologize and be the bigger man for letting my emotions control me (like they always do). I was just a bit upset at the time and was confused, not sure what was going to happen to my day, but things worked out well enough anyway. So, I apologize to you as well for saying anything that may have offended you.

I'd also like to apologize to the people who were tuned in during tonight's show. It pretty much bombed towards the end. You WOULD go figure..a storm began coming through when I only had about 10 minutes left, so it knocked out my modem a few times. Fortunately..I still managed to finish the show, but..that still sucked, so I apologize for the technical difficulties which arose and hope you will tune in next time as well for hopefully a better experience.

Posted by: Tessou Jul 4 2008, 08:58 PM
I'm filling the time gap right now, so don't worry. N1 is about to carry the torch to end a great 4th of July show lineup.

Posted by: BOZZ Jul 4 2008, 08:59 PM
Kiks, are you still on air right now?

Posted by: Tessou Jul 4 2008, 09:05 PM
No, he got knocked out because of tech difficulties. I filled in the last 10 minutes with one long song (with an uber long speech at the end) and now we're transitioning into N1's show.

Posted by: BOZZ Jul 4 2008, 09:07 PM
Ah, cause I couldn't recognize the voice at first, I'm like... isn't that Tessou?

Posted by: Tetsuya Hikari Jul 5 2008, 03:59 PM
Here is a zip file for my DDR folder that Hashi requested. There are a couple of songs in the folder not from DDR, but Pop'n Music instead. Only a couple though. I'm also including a zip file for the DDR Supernova 2 OST since I played some songs from that as well during last night's show.

I only did it once and that was a couple of hours ago, buuuuut..you do know the person responsible for the other name. That's the only clue I can give you, lol.

Oh Bozz, you're so silly laugh.gif

I have already got a plan for this Friday's show, so..listen up if you're interested! I'm thinking about hosting a two hour show of Vocaloid music. The music will consist of songs sang by Hatsune Miku, along with Kagamine Rin and Len with Kaito as well. I don't think there are any Meiko songs, but I could be wrong.

So, from here till Friday, I'll be putting together the playlist to satisfy the listeners with greatness happy.gif

Don't know what Vocaloid is?

I have decided to hold an Ys special this week. Thanks to Nomake for the help in deciding on this. I realized that for as long as I have been a DJ for IDW, I have YET to hold an Ys special, despite being a fan of the series happy.gif

So! Be prepared for some retro music (1987 goodness!), live performances, new age, and an all around epic show for those interested in the series as well. I'll be working up the playlist starting tomorrow.

Stay tuned music.gif

Posted by: BOZZ Jul 15 2008, 08:02 PM
Whoa, a Ys special... That's going to be interesting... You gonna include tracks from the latest Ys titles?

Posted by: Tetsuya Hikari Jul 16 2008, 04:58 AM
Well, there's going to music from Ys I (naturally), Ys II, Ys III, Ys: Oath in Felghana, and some tracks from the Super Arrange Version album of Ys Origin. There will also be a couple of live performances played during the show as well. One song in particular being, "To make the End of Battle".

There will also be Super Arranged versions of songs from Ys I, II, and III in the playlist as well. Honestly, I didn't really care too much for the music in IV: Mask of the Sun or Dawn of Ys. Ys V wasn't really too appealing to me either and Ys VI: Ark of Napishtim mainly had Konami's hands on it, so I'm not too fond of it either.

You'll also be hearing a couple of repeats. For example: since Oath in Felghana is practically a remake of Ys III: Wanderers from Ys, using the Ys VI engine, you will hear the original Ys III version of say, "Ilburns Ruins", then later, the Ys: Oath in Felghana version will play.

In any case, there will be 52 songs playing for Friday's show. I've got the playlist prepared already, I just need to organize the music in the proper order and throw in my intermissions, make a couple of recordings, then it will be finished. I hope the show this week will be as good as last week's happy.gif

EDIT: Can I has good grammar?

Posted by: BOZZ Jul 16 2008, 06:57 AM
You can, if you pay for it he he...

When you listed that all off reminded me which Ys game I did play, Ys VI: Ark of Napishtim...

I'd just like to thank everyone that tuned in to the show last night. I hope you all enjoyed it and look forward to my show next week laugh.gif

I'll be sure to keep you guys updated and let you know what I have in store as Friday comes closer happy.gif

So what do you have planned for your show this week?

Posted by: Tetsuya Hikari Jul 24 2008, 09:08 PM
This week I have prepared something known as, "Risky Friday" which will feature music from the anime/manga titles known as:

Kaiji
user posted image

and

Akagi
user posted image

For those of you that don't know, Akagi is about a young 13 year old boy that takes up Mahjong to save someone from debt. One thing leads to another and he begins plunging deeper into the darkness that is gambling.

Kaiji is a gambling series as well. It starts out with a guy who is interested in just playing cards with his friends to trying to get out of a debt a friend has left him by getting on a ship which has a card gambling game, then succumbing to the sin known as greed, causing himself to dig his hole even deeper, struggling against the odds.

I think both series are absolutely fantastic and they both have a rather epic OST, so I have chosen to compose a list from both series and play it for this week's show, and since they are both about gambling, that's why I decided to call it, "Risky Friday". I was going to go with, "Gambling After Dark", but meh..it just sounded simple.

Anyway, I hope you all tune in and enjoy tomorrow's show. It's going to be quite epic. Who knows..it might even inspire you to pick up these two great series wink2.gif

Posted by: Tetsuya Hikari Jul 25 2008, 07:20 AM
Man..what's with you guys getting my time wrong? This is like..the third time rolleyes.gif

Anyway, NO...I have booked 11:00 P.M. - 1:00 A.M. Central Standard Time. That's the time I am scheduled for on Friday's.

If there's a problem, I'll be on AIM later since I'll have an hour to kill before I get on the air anyway tongue.gif

Posted by: Tessou Jul 25 2008, 09:17 AM
Guess that means I'll have to spring on earlier than I thought.

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Jul 25 2008, 01:41 PM
And then we have ANOTHER problem.

Actually, MORE THAN ONE.

Nomake Wan asked if he could take my USUAL timeslot for tonight (7-9PM PST). I plan to give it to him anyway, since for friday and saturday, I'm starting IMMEDIATLY after the mandatory eurobeat set ends, but then his show and Kikumaru's show would conflict. And then there's Tesso's show. Which I don't know when it'll start.

I apologize for the confusion, Tesso. I just found out yesterday that Nomake wanted to go on before myself. Thanks to Bozz, he was thinking I had an earlier schedule rolleyes.gif. So basically, it just amounted to..when was Hashi going to get on, Nomake, then when would I come on?

So far, it seems as though there won't be any conflict with my timeslot. Why don't you just hop on after I get off, Tesso? I go from 11:00 P.M. to 1:00 A.M. CST.

I guess us fellow deejays should talk a little more often amongst each other so we can be a little more organized in the future tongue.gif

Alright guys, for those of you that didn't listen to Friday's show and haven't got a clue as to what I'll be playing for next Friday, here it is happy.gif! I'm going to playing two hours worth of music from the series, "Legend of the Galactic Heroes". The anime is truly epic..easily in my top 5.

The music will be Classical, so if that's not your thing, then I would highly suggest skipping out on next week's show. It wasn't until I began watching LOGH that I made an exception for Classical music. Anyway! I will be playing music from the Empire

user posted image

and the Free Planets Alliance

user posted image

It's going to be quite difficult trying to put together a show from the music of LOGH since the Empire and FPA each have 10 discs for their OSTs T_T

But, I'll come up with something. Don't worry. Oh and the title of the show will be:

"A Classical night of Madness under Billions of Stars"

Posted by: Sanae Jul 29 2008, 03:48 AM
Now, this is one show I'd like to kindly ask some good soul to record for me since I like classic music and I'm always super-unlucky in terms of catching any of DJ Eiji's shows.

So, pretty please, if anyone is conscious enough to click on the record button at the time the show starts and then maybe upload the file somewhere, anywhere really, I'd be super-duper-hyper happy. Onegaishimasu! pinch2.gif

And hey, since you said that you haven't listened to much classical music other than this particular soundtrack, I've uploaded for you (and whoever else gets curious) the full http://www.sendspace.com/file/p77mta by Paco De Lucia. It's one of my all-time favourites. I specifically recommend the 2nd track - Adagio.

Let me know what you think if you get the chance, ok?

Posted by: Tetsuya Hikari Aug 2 2008, 12:45 PM
I hope the bass wasn't too loud for the music. I had to crank it up a little bit. If i didn't, you wouldn't have been able to hear it at all laugh.gif. That's the only problem trying to play Classical music over the radio. Even at 320, it's hard to hear unless you mess with the preamp a little bit.

I can hear it fine without the bass on my end, but for everyone else, it would only reach about -20 to -15 db, lol. Anyway! I'll give this Paco a listen and tell you what I think later happy.gif

Posted by: Sanae Aug 2 2008, 01:01 PM
Eiji-chan I wasn't expecting crystal clear audio either. I know that the only fair way to listen to classical music is with a very good Hi-Fi system if not directly played by an orchestra (it does pay off going to the theater to see it performed live).

That said, if my father saw the way you're calling his favourite guitarist ever, he'd have your head. Trust me. Don't mess with el http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paco_de_Luc%C3%ADa in front of my dad. tongue.gif

Hope to see you there tonight music.gif

True, I guess Kikumaru likes to keep his secret sauce secret... tongue.gif

BROTHER! The radio is mine!!

This Friday, I'll be hosting a two hour Metal Gear Solid special titled, "!". I'll be playing music from MGS, MGS2, MGS3, and MGS4. Be sure to tune in at 9:00 P.M. - 11:00 (PST) to catch this awesome show of epic music from one of the most memorable series in gaming history!

If you want any of the songs uploaded after the show, be sure to leave a message in the chatroom or in this thread. Thanks!

Hope to see you there, Metal Gear fanatics music.gif

EDIT: Also, to make a quick warning here. Some of the song titles may be spoilers for those who have not played MGS4 yet, so listen at your own risk! That's all I wanted to mention tongue.gif

Even though i am not a lover of the MGS series i do love the music so ill be there!

Posted by: Tetsuya Hikari Aug 20 2008, 02:42 PM
Well, I really enjoyed last week's show since..well...how could I NOT love the music from MGS? It has always been fantastic tongue.gif

Anyway, the update for this week's show is....

I'm taking a break for this week! I don't usually get breaks, so it's probably going to seem pretty rare for me to not go on this Friday (outside of the time I was inactive from the forums for a few months, this is rare wink2.gif)

So, I won't be airing this week, but I'll be sure to come on next week and give something for you guys. As usual, enjoy Hashi and Nomake's show on Friday happy.gif

Posted by: Tessou Aug 20 2008, 06:26 PM
There probably won't even be radio on friday anyways since we're gonna be unveiling a beta test of IDW's newest feature that night.

Posted by: Tetsuya Hikari Aug 20 2008, 11:54 PM
Er...I do believe a post got deleted in here unsure.gif

I'm assuming I wasn't supposed to spoil the surprise for those who aren't aware yet wink2.gif

Well..seeing as you did say, "unveil"...I should have thought before I typed pinch2.gif

The only people that aren't aware are the people that don't listen to the radio or participate in the "extracurricular" IDW activities. It's not exactly the biggest secret out there.

Also, what got deleted? I don't see anything out of the ordinary.

Posted by: Tetsuya Hikari Aug 21 2008, 11:03 AM
Huuuuh....fear2.gif

Well, I just made a post shortly after yours last night Tesso and was asking for a confirmation on what the feature is, then I visited the site about an hour later or so and the post was gone, so I just figured I wasn't supposed to say what the feature was unless I wanted to get van'd unsure.gif

Posted by: Tessou Aug 21 2008, 11:24 AM
I never saw anything like that last night. I was on from 10PM-1PM EST-ish, so if you posted after that... then I have no knowledge of a post being erased.

Posted by: Tetsuya Hikari Aug 21 2008, 11:46 AM
10PM-1PM? Er...post edit much?

Might need it, lol.

Well, it wasn't a big deal anyway. I guess it was just a misunderstanding. I saw it get deleted and just thought I wasn't supposed to say anything about what the test was for tongue.gif

Posted by: Tessou Aug 21 2008, 11:51 AM
Yeah yeah yeah, I messed up the time. YOU KNOW WHAT I MEANT. wink2.gif

Not sure how many missed me, but I apologize for being busy as of lately and not airing during my usual times. Don't worry though! I've got a new album recently I want to share with you guys. I'm going to shoot for this weekend. Maybe on Saturday at some point or Sunday before Nomake, since Tesso has taken my slot for this Friday to share some stuff with you guys through IDW TV.

Anyway! I know I've already had a Hatsune Miku show, but she just released a new album as of recently (August 28th or something of the sort), so I plan on sharing it with you guys. I can assure you the quality is awesome happy.gif

Here's a couple of scans of the album.

Oh, good. I was gonna play that on my Friday show, but if you're playing it that's one less thing I have to wind through. Thanks!

Hey, would you mind asking me before using my timeslot next time?

I don't mind, but it's common courtesy, really. wink2.gif

Posted by: Tetsuya Hikari Sep 5 2008, 12:32 AM
Sorry about that, Jake. I was confused with the timezones again. I remember you saying you air on Friday, but I completely forgot your Friday means my Thursday since you're that far ahead of me. Anyway..sorry again for the confusion.

I'll try to remember the timezone difference for future instances pinch2.gif

Posted by: Tetsuya Hikari Sep 9 2008, 12:18 AM
I apologize for being a little late with the upload. We had a storm come through in the afternoon, so my modem was out for a good two hours or so. By the time it did actually come back on, I hopped on MGO for a little bit. Anyway!

Here is..as requested..the 320 MP3 version of the livetune feat. Hatsune Miku album, "Re:package".

Thanks for making a post new guy. I needed to make one to tell everyone about what I have planned for this week wink2.gif

Well, this Thursday at 8:00 P.M. - 10:30 P.M. (or so) PST, I will be airing Sota Fujimori's newest (and first) album, "Synthesized". If you have played any of the Beatmanias, DDRs, or Pop'n Musics, then you should know what to expect.

He's really great at synthesizing, so you'll be hearing a lot of techno/trance and house music. That's all he pretty much specializes in, but damn he's good at it happy.gif

Anyway, I hope you all tune in this Thursday for some Sota!

Sorry guys. No show this week. I picked up Soul Calibur IV today, so I'm going to be playing that for MOST of the day and I've got MGO with clanmates later tonight, so I really won't have the time to broadcast anything.

Just thought I'd give you guys a heads up wink2.gif

Posted by: Tetsuya Hikari Sep 26 2008, 02:02 PM
Sorry for the absence everyone. I was given a couple of warnings a couple of weeks back and I've just been laying low for a little while, lol. Didn't want to take my chances at somehow getting banned tongue.gif

Well, putting that aside..I'll be having company over tonight, but..nevertheless, I'm going to be hosting a show anyway at my usual time: 11:00 P.M. (CST) - 1:00 A.M.

The playlist has been kind of thrown together in a rush since I didn't plan this, but I hope you all enjoy it regardless. It will be a two hour Iceman special! If you enjoy any of the music you hear during the show, feel free to post your request up here afterward.

I hope you all enjoy the show tonight music.gif

No show this Friday, guys. I'm having my DSL service changed to Cable (FINALLY), so my current ISP will be turning off my modem anywhere between 10 minutes to 48 hours from now. I'll be back up and running on my new service on the 14th.

Just thought I'd give a heads up wink2.gif

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Oct 8 2008, 01:12 PM
I'll cover your slot for you.

Posted by: Tetsuya Hikari Oct 14 2008, 11:51 PM
Well, I'm back online everyone wink2.gif

Ahhh..it feels so good to have Cable back. I used to have it when living with my grandparents, but when I moved out on my own, I just took DSL since it was cheaper. Now I feel kind of silly for not getting Cable when I first moved in because actually..IT is cheaper than DSL.

I'm saving like..$7 or $9 a month now. I'm not sure how that works, but I didn't ask any questions whistling.gif

For the curious, it's an Arris modem (yeah, I know dry.gif) and I'm getting close to 8,000 kbps for download and close to 1,000 for upload now, whereas I was getting barely over 3,000 and a little over 300.

So things are certainly running a little more smoothly now with this new service. I've got Roadrunner now. I was a bit hesitant at first since I didn't know how reliable they were, but I have seen significant improvements with my online gaming for Soul Calibur IV and Metal Gear Online, so..everything has worked the way I had hoped it would and I no longer have doubts.

As for the show this week, I've been thinking of something, but I'm still drawing blanks at the moment. Well, it's halfway into the week, so I've still got plenty of time to figure something out. Also, I've got a pretty big project planned for towards the end of the year, but I'm keeping it under wraps for now.

I just wanted to let you guys know I am planning something pretty big though. Anyway, thanks goes to Hashi for covering my slot while I was gone. See you guys on Friday music.gif

Posted by: Tetsuya Hikari Oct 18 2008, 01:43 PM
For those of you that caught my show last night, once again, I apologize for cutting it short. I decided to pull the characters' ending themes since they were much too soft to play over the air without the preamp set and I didn't know what to set it at, so I just didn't bother with them.

Also, I had a prior arrangement made to meet someone on SCIV a little after Midnight. That's what I get for making plans and not remembering what I already had scheduled dry.gif

Oh well, it's not like I had to go on the air. I was just tired of pushing it to the side though and telling everyone, "no show this week", lol. Anyway, thanks for listening regardless and I hope to try and get in on the video scene next week.

I'll try to run a few tests with it during the week and see if I can get it working well enough to show something for next week's show wink2.gif

EDIT: Yay for grammatical errors.

Posted by: Tetsuya Hikari Oct 29 2008, 01:43 AM
As you have already noticed, there was not an airing last Friday. I had an idea for a video show, but that bombed when I found out the program wouldn't even run on my computer properly. I didn't have a backup plan, so I didn't bother airing anything.

I don't have a Halloween special or anything like that planned for this Friday, but there will be a show. As usual, it will be from 9:00 - 11:00 PST. This week, I will be airing a Korean group known as, "Clazziquai".

It's hard to describe what kind of music they make, but it's a mixture of Electronica, Pop, Jazz, and others. They have some really good music though and it can cater to a wide audience for being a mixture of different genres.

Anyway, I hope you can tune in for this Friday's show featuring Clazziquai.

EDIT: Damnit. Not EST! PST D:<

I don't know why I keep making that mistake, lol.

Cool, looking forward to your show this Friday.

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Nov 2 2008, 07:13 PM
Kikumaru, I need to know if you'll be on this Friday.

Posted by: Tetsuya Hikari Nov 3 2008, 05:30 AM
Yep. I'll be on this Friday. Not sure what I've got planned yet though.

Also, I'd like to make a huge announcement. I'm calling out to all IDW members who tune in to IDW Radio! I will be hosting a huge special on November 28th, but you guys are going to be the ones to help me decide on what it will consist of!

I'm holding a special known as: The Best of Super Eurobeat 2008

It will still be for 2 hours, but..I want you guys to help me compose the playlist with what you feel was the best SEB tracks of '08. The rules are quite simply really. Each person is allowed to vote for three songs.

The songs can be selected from anything in the Super Eurobeat series, however..that is all. So anything outside of that, such as Euromach or Para and your vote will be void and you will have to replace it with a SEB track instead. You also cannot take advantage of the playlist by voting for a megamix as a song.

With that being said, I would like it if you could only vote for three songs which are below 6 minutes each. However, I will accept this method as well. If you do find something that you really think belongs in this playlist and it's a little over 6 minutes, throw it my way.

If you want to do this, then you will be limited to two votes instead, since I can't have everyone doing this. The playlist wouldn't have many songs if everyone did this. So, just to make this clear. You may only vote for three songs and they must be below 6 minutes each, however..if you want to include a vote for one that is a little over 6 minutes, then your three votes will be reduced to two and the other song must be below 6 minutes.

Your votes also cannot stack. So no, you can't change three votes to one by voting for a song that's 13 minutes long or so. Anyway, now that we have that out of the way. Here is the format I would like all of the votes to be in:

"Artist name here" - "song title here" ["album number here"]

You can also place a priority on them as well, numbering from 1 (the highest) to 3 (the lowest) in case I have to pick and choose which one of your songs gets to stay in the playlist while adding some other choices to the list. Also, the voting will end on the 24th since I'll need about a week or so to prepare the list in a particular order. So, go ahead and start posting your votes for what you wish to see in the special, "The Best of Super Eurobeat 2008" on November 28th!

EDIT: Forgot to add something. If I don't have the song you are voting for, I may have to get a download link from you for it. I'll PM you if that is necessary. If you feel inclined to post it when you cast your votes though, that would be appreciated, since I'm putting all of them in the same folder anyway.

Posted by: Tetsuya Hikari Nov 7 2008, 04:11 AM
I actually couldn't come up with any solid ideas for this Friday's show, so I decided that I would play some music from the Tales of Destiny remake.

user posted image

The OST has 109 tracks, so naturally..I won't be able to play all of them, but I'll try to pick out the best ones and play those. I'll also be giving a reminder every now and then to vote for "The best of Super Eurobeat 2008" during my show as well.

Anyway, as usual, I'll be on at around 9:00 P.M. - 11:00 P.M. PST. Hope to see you there music.gif

Posted by: Tetsuya Hikari Nov 14 2008, 06:07 PM
No show this week everyone. I picked up a copy of Valkyria Chronicles today, so my time will be occupied by that instead, sorry fear2.gif

Posted by: BOZZ Nov 14 2008, 06:37 PM
Ha ha... Nice pick up Kiks... You should play the soundtrack as part of one of your shows!

Posted by: Tetsuya Hikari Nov 19 2008, 02:05 PM
No show this week either.

A. I'm having company over

and

B. Hashi wants to lead into Nomake's show

So, even though I won't be airing this Friday, be sure to tune in for Hashi's extended show leading into Nomake's more-epic-than-usual show music.gif
