sure. if you go by a common language dictionary for what is essentially a very abstract, specialized area of terminology. i personally wouldn't. that's using the dictionary to tell you if anything can infact beat VTEC (nothing can). it might tell you displacement, or at least boost, but anyone that knows knows that you can't beat VTEC. They are called that over here too. The ones that I am not sure what they are called are cars like the Mondeo 5 door, or an older example the Rover 3500. Those are completely like sedans, but they are of the fastback body style. | ||

5-door hatch as well. The Mazda6 has a bodystyle like that. | ||

For some reason, my Nissan Versa is considered a "minivan/crossover" by my finance company. Not too sure how a front-drive, five-door hatchback is anything like a minivan, but whatever. It's a two door sedan, based on the interior volume. My Datsun was the same way. | ||
