The AM Show report has revealed that a NBG (Namco Bandai Games) executive announced on the stage that Maximum Boost (Tuned) 3 was to be released. Think it was a 2007 date on first sitings. Just thought you guys may be interested? |

IDW Expert Member Group: Members Posts: 111 Member No.: 19,435 Joined: Aug 10th 2006 Location: Update Profile | Just been spanked by my Japanese game expert; some corrections: -The current 'Wangan Midnight : Maximum Tune' to 'Wangan Midnight : Maximum Tune 2 Ver.B' runs on the Sega licensed CHIHIRO architecture. -The announcement at JAMMA was only made to NBG trade and affiliates, and was not offically announced. -The NBG guys are not 'spoiling' Sega's release of IDV4, but want to point out that their game is coming and will be cheeper (yeah)!! -NBG has not ruled out a kit... Well thats me told. The Stinger will be running the name of the game as 'Wangan Midnight : Maximum Tune 3', and I'am going to take the risk of speculating that the new hardware platform will be the new PC based NBG system (similar to the Taito TypeX2). Hope this helps, This post has been edited by editor on Sep 24 2006, 05:27 AM |

IDW Expert Member Group: Members Posts: 111 Member No.: 19,435 Joined: Aug 10th 2006 Location: Update Profile | Dear All, Just got information about a meeting with NBG (Namco Bandai Group) executives at the Tokyo Game Show. They were asked if the PS3 launched Maxi. Tune (offically confirmed yesterday) would be similar to the planned arcade release? The source was told that they had no knowledge of a arcade version of Maxi.Tune being developed? This may not be as earth shattering as it may seem as the consumer developers and amusement developers work in different worlds - but it got me thinking that the JAMMA offical that talked about Maxi.Tune3 may have meant the PS3 version? Or that NBG are using a PS3 based graphics hardware for the arcade? More questions than answers... sorry! This post has been edited by editor on Sep 27 2006, 06:58 AM |

There is a report that there will be three games - the AC, PS3 and PSP titles, with the new feature of being able to share the game stats from the home game on the arcade system (still to be offically confirmed). The only concern I have is that there is still no test footage or images from the proposed Namco Arcade version! |

All the best, |
