QUOTE
Satoru Iwata, president of Nintendo, has passed away. The company said in an official document that his death came about due to a bile duct growth, which he had been previously treated for.

Satoru Iwata started his gaming career when he joined HAL Laboratory following his graduation from university. He became the company’s president in 1993. Iwata became a part of Nintendo in 2000, and took over as president in 2002.

Damn, my dad's 69 and has a med history of GI problems; really makes me appreciate that I still have my parents. Gotta tell my dad I love him today. RIP Mr. Iwata, truly an asset to Nintendo. sad.gif I wonder if they'll make an amiibo in his honour.

Conspiracy theories go!

But sad, even though i haven't played a nintendo game in years, it was still fun.

I don't know, someone told me he missed E3 because of his condition - a tumor in the bile duct, I believe.

Yesterday, when updating my twitter feed, the news fell quite early. I thought to myself "It's a joke right? Let's see if NeoGAF has something on it..." Then, it hits me in the face. Sure enough, the gaming legend had passed away. I have no words. I cried all evening yesterday. The thing that broke me is the following GIF:

You have left with a great legacy, Mr. Iwata. You may rest in peace.

P.S Please read the NeoGAF thread, guys. It's full of heart-touching pictures like the GIF above... Link: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1078826 (You don't need to be a member to view threads)

I was away most of yesterday so I didn't find out till today. The news came out of nowhere and I'm saddened he died so early.

Sigh, I feel like my life only consists of tragedies and sorrows. I can't even find words to express my feelings at this time. I need some time to understand what happened...
It's hard to believe that he died so suddenly. He didn't really make a sick impression, in my opinion.

As a leader he was a visionary in his field. As part of Nintendo he was not scared of being directly involved in his company. He will be sorely missed by gamers everywhere.
