thats why u shift by RPMs not speed. For just about every car ive seen someone use, The end speed of 4th and begining speed of 5th is the same... theres no point in dragging it out (though it doesnt hurt you if you do) 5th just raises your potential top speed... acceleration isnt any different

actually acceleration is different with different shift points, check your start intervals and you will see the difference, it may only make a hundredth of a second difference, but that matters a lot in a battle when you are trying to get ahead at the start.

5th gear also matters, test on myogi, with an fd first shift at 150 then at 160 see which is faster(160 is faster, 158 is optimal)

lol i know, thats kind of the point. I used to know em but i cant remember the numbers (id have to see the tachometer again) i just kind of pulled those out my ass (i thought i made it obvious enough though dry.gif )
