Yes, despite how thick that card is compared to Wangan or ID1/2/3, it is still vulnerable to wear and tear damage as well as magnets. Seeing the card is busted after just 20 games why not just buy a new one from the machine? |

Please confirm that your Initial d license has been inserted correctly. If inserted correctly, data is damaged. 406 or 409 or 412 ---------------------------------- rpm.w: 1. looks like its either Card is damaged (irrecoverable of course) or 2. the machine reader have issues. but.. if someone else plays with another card just fine.. then its left with #1 ---------------------------------- Ever wondered what is inside the card? i took apart a card once... and this is all i found... an RFID chip. maybe its not magnetism.. heat... or even flexing the card can kill if it just so happen to damage the chip structure click to enlarge.. LOL This post has been edited by stormfox on Feb 2 2010, 06:58 AM |

chances low. the ID4 machine manual says nothing about recovery for this 409 error. the data cannot be read in the first place... so how can the machine even have a copy to replace with? this is not like the 403 Card Dispensing error where the data is read into the machine but unable to write to a new card. the Manual has a few pages on how to recover for this error. My Double Aces + Rising Stars Group: Advanced Members Posts: 2,587 Member No.: 5,284 Joined: Jan 28th 2005 Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia | The machine will only backup the data for ANY card if there is a save failure (either during eject or renewal of cards). If there was no save failure that happened earlier, his card data will not be on the machine. Even if his data is on the machine for any reason, the only card that can be used to restore the data is the same card that it had errors with (no other card - not even a brand new one works) because the data is tied to the Access Code (the numbers behind the card). |
