This FAQ is for the ID6AA International Export Version 1.0

Note: Previous version of FAQ found here: https://idforums.net/index.php?showtopic=41341
1) Changes from ID5 EXP2.0 to ID6AA
- Online overseas battle and tag battle are available.
- Level are 1-99.
- Tuning is done after every battle you fight.
- 4 new settings, after you full tuned your car and driven 1100km onward
- Battle event may be possible since online battle available
- Avatar change after a level up or battles like ID5.
- Internet ranking now available, again only through online machines.
- 3 types of Story modes
- 2 New Maps added
- Initial D.net services for players with cards registered online. Visit http://game.initiald.sega.com/inid6/e/ to access.

2) Card Transfers
- From ID5 EXP version 2.0. However it is a one-time transfer and 1.0 cannot be transfer

3) Data transferred to ID6AA
- All will be reset.
- Only cars and avatar will remain.
- All tuning will be default
- All point will be back to 0.
- If your card is A3 and above, your level will be 10
- If your card is below A3, you level will be 5

4a) Area Code designations
Similarly to the ID5 2.0

Singapore - SGP
Hong Kong - HKG
Taiwan - TWN
Shanghai (China) - CHN
Malaysia - MYS
Korea - KOR

Japanese players will appear as with home area "JPN" regardless which Japanese home area their cards are registered to.
Note that the area code will determine which country your TA records will go to under "Area ranking", and it cannot be changed once set.

4b) Issuing arcade
Only shown to at the start of battle

4c) License number designations.
Same like ID5 2.0. This is your login ID to the IntiialD.net site.

You can use this number to access to the Initial D 6 ranking system website online
You can check your own profile, time attack timings, garage and records of events(event stamps).

5) Course Car List:
For now no course car.
You get to specify your home course in your settings, under ホームコース. So you could own an AE86 and still have your home course in Tsubaki, for example. Still unsure if there's a 'home course effect'. (leon)

7) Car tuning
Every tuning will be done after a battle.
Engine will be the last section for every car.

8) Physics changes
ID6AA requires drift. A lot of difference from ID5 and ID6AA

9) Avatar tuning (My Character Parts)
Avatar tuning is both possible for battle and story mode.
- The bar is seperated into 10 blocks - which can be obtained in the following ways:
-> Winning an in-store battle : +4 blocks
-> Losing an in-store battle : +2 blocks
-> Completing a story mode / Time Attack mode while the accept challenger flag is ON : +1 block upon game completion (includes Force Quit)
Any extra blocks left over after filling up the current My Character Parts bar will be carried over into the next bar.

The rate the roulette spins is fixed, but the speed the roulette stops is not. Sometimes it immediately stops, sometimes it continues to spin a lot longer before it stops. So it's not easy to get the part you want even if you see it on the roulette.

Any parts declined cannot be recovered. Parts such as Glasses or accessories, once added to your character, can only be replaced; it cannot be removed.

Scarfs, necklaces and unique facial features are all classed under accessories - and these are NOT considered as seperate items, therefore when offered a scarf when you already have a necklace (or a facial feature), you will replace the necklace/facial feature if you accept the change.

10) Level & Aura.

- Instead of D3 to SS, there are level 1 to 99, which can be earn through any mode.

- You will gain an aura once you hit Level 60. Each 10 level after that gives you a different coloured aura.

Every battle regardless of any type will give u points to level up.
I hope someone can fill this part with pictures

11) Pride Points by Phoenix_Cypher_K1
Awarded once you reach Lv99, and you start with 10.
- Pride points will only change in Online Battle SINGLES mode (In-Store Battle and Tag Battles do not affect it - and as a result the two final auras [Blue and Rainbow] must be acquired through Online Battle)
- Pride points calculation are as follows (per my experience, there may be more conditions)
: +6 if you win a battle at your opponent's home course
: +4 if you win a battle.
: - 3 if you lose a battle.
: -4 if you lose a battle at your own home course.

12) Event mode
Same like ID5 2.0

- Still waiting to see got new event instead of only TA

13) Avatar Background

- Transferring from ID5 2.0 to ID6AA, will be given a golden AA background (Online).
- Other words the rest are same like ID5 2.0

14) Event Sticker
Same like ID5 2.0

15) Card Renewal

- Not sure, maybe the same like ID5 2.0

16) List of Online ID6 machines
- Available on the official website: http://initiald.sega.com/location.html

17) Connection Icon descriptions.
Same like ID5 2.0 but an additional of tag battle icon

If the mode is active, the icon will be lit-up in Light Blue. If inactive, there will be a red slash over the icon.

18) Tuning Specifics

- There will be 5 Spec 1 >5
- There are different sections in one spec.

19) How to attack a corner in IDAS 6AA ?

Drifting is the key to go fast in this game.
It is different from ID5, you need less brake, and drift at the highest speed as possible.
Tap the brake and turn. While turning pump gas to make it drift.
Remember the steering wheel is the important to balance the car in entering and exit the curve.

20) Must we use the brakes ?

- Yes just tap, in order to position your car to drift.

21) Does Eraser & PC still work?

- No for now.

22) How about SUPER ULTRA LATE BRAKING ?

- No point for now as higher the speed without hit the wall is the fastest.

23) What are the different shift points in the game ?

- Just shift when your car is over-reving

24) What is the best start-up for the game?

- For TA keeps your rev at 1/4 and then accelerate when GO, as for Battle keep rev at 0 then accelerate when the count reach 1.

25) What car has the best start-up in the game ?

- Now is not sure.

27) I'm new, what car do you think I should make first ?

- Any car as long as you learn to balance your car

28) Beside aura, new stuff added: WING!

- You have to complete first 2 modes which unlock legend and Chapter 3 onward, your car will have wings. The further the legend you complete, the longer the wing stays.

29) Links to discussion thread
https://idforums.net/index.php?showtopic=41647

30) How to add more cars to your garage ?

Same like ID5 2.0

31) How to delete / replace a car in the garage ?

Same like ID5 2.0

32) Can we still turn off our car's head-lights ?

- Yes, you are still able to do it, just press and hold the "START" button.

33) Story Mode

- 3 New modes: Normal, Another and Legend
- I haven't take notice of what the opponents for the Normal and Another are
- Legend is random opponent and AWAKENING which the car will have rainbow aura.

34) Tag Battle point system
- Both machine must be online to vs overseas if not you either vs the in-store machine or CPU.
- The machine will random pick one person either your side or opponent side to choose the map.
- Both of you will start either up or downhill, similar outbound or inbound at the same time.
- The main point of winning is the points you collected during the race.
- There are 2 color, gold and silver.
Gold will award 2 points
Silver will award 1 point
If both of you get Gold, tag team will be awarded addition 2 points which is 2+2+2 =6 points
If both of you get Silver, tag team will be awarded addition 2 points which is 1+1+2 =4 points
If both of you get different color, there won’t be addition points.
If both of you finishes the finishing goal, with both gold, will be 6 x 2= 12 points.
The overall points will determine who win, not who reach the finishing goal first.

35) How you know you drifitng?

At the power gauge bar, there is a DRIFT word.
The word blink in blue means your car is turning.
The word present in gold means your car is drifting
Best is get gold word to have additional boost

36) Boost system in Tag battle.

How it works? This time the machine will tell the player who will have boost during the race
For now, usually one player will go faster from the start. Regardless whose car have the best startup.
However the one go fast from the beginning, the behind car will have boost after a certain time.
On the screen, will tell you who had the boost.
For those don't how to see, to put it in simple words.
If the words pop out and one of it is Red word means the behind car will have boost.
If the Green word means the front will have boost.

37) 2 New Maps

- USUI
- TSUBAKI

38) 3 New Cars

- Nissan Fairlady Z (Z33)
- Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X (CZ4A)
- Honda NSX Type R (NA1)

39) Easy Ways to Full Tune as requested

For the first car you owned, play the story mode as each race, you will receive 900++ points

Regardless you win or lose. (You must finish the map)
For second car you can either save all the points and tuning by force quit every story mode game

Another way to full tune a car cheaply is playing online battle IF you got enough points.
Online battle allows you to battle 3 times IF you win all, and enable you to tune 3 times.

Additional from lembu82
Fastest way to full tune a car:
- If you start from a new fresh card, or transfered card from D5, then Story mode is the only way as you gain 900++ points for every game, that is about 110 games.

- The points that required to full tune a car is 100200 points.

- To tune the second/ third car on the same card you using now, you just need to make sure that your card has at lease 72200 points. This can guarantee you can tune the machanical parts at every game, of cause, by condition that not to change any body kits for any car.

Formular:
100200 - 28000 = 72200

Explaination
100200 = full tune a car
28000 = gain minimum 800points per every credit you insert, 2 online battles by condition win1 lose1, insert 35 times of credits, 70 games to full tune a car, conservative expectation.
You may play Story mode for similar achivement, which you just need to play about 29 games to full tune the 2nd/3rd car.

Additional info:
Step 1 = 5500 points
Step 2 = 9000 points
Step 3 = 12950 points
Step 4 = 16600 points
Step 5 = 56150 points

40) Fast Way to level up

Well I and ReiG tried, still TAG battle rules for level up system.
Higher the opponent's level, you will get more points if you win the battle.
You will receive both level points of both players.

Well I use Phoenix_Cypher_K1 format to start this FAQ. Thanks You!
So feel free to add any things/section I miss out here so information can be shared to all ID drivers!
Thanks to all who contribute your knowledge.

Just found this out (courtesy of Ishida). If you transfer to D6AA from EXP2.0 in an offline machine...you do NOT get the AA background....

And for aura...I thought as far level is concerned you get EXP points from every mode you play, not just battle?

QUOTE
4b) Issuing Arcade

This doesn't apply anymore, since the card doesn't show the arcade name.

QUOTE
11) Pride Points
This one only japan manage to get currently but it work similarly like ID5 2.0

This one is for anybody who reaches Lv99. Cannot confirm if it was +1 for win, -2 for loss like it was for 2.0.

I don't think I can add anything much for now (Malaysia machines just came - so I haven't played it), but I think if you look in the other thread where Rei.G and hkpoorguy were talking abt online battle, that is useful as well.

Btw, I remembered that I read somewhere that BodyKit now makes a difference in ID6?

That was like during Location Testing period was it? Is it really in effect or is it not?

Force quit every story mode game if you have enough points shifty2.gif .
If not, just play and complete every story mode game till full spec,
doesn't matter if you lose, still get the full points.

Anyway, I'll also like to add that tire management is STILL IN PLACE for ID6AA. It's been 100% confirmed but as to how much of it is in effect; that, I do not know.

I did a TA for Irohazaka and after the TA, the game character was mentioning something about tire management so I'm pretty sure it is in fact still present but definitely not as much as in ID5.

Hi all.

I'm back after more than a year's absence (work has been busy). Finally decided to come back after ID6 came out. I've grown really rusty, but it's just as well since ID6 is so much different. Anyway...something to contribute.

QUOTE (justxsongs @ Mar 18 2011, 09:44 PM)
5) Course Car List:
There is no home course car for this moment.

This time, the cars don't have a fixed home course. You get to specify your home course in your settings, under ホームコース. So you could own an AE86 and still have your home course in Tsubaki, for example. Still unsure if there's a 'home course effect'.

Hey guys,

just wanna ask, would it cost more to create a new card in IDAS6 than transferring your data from IDAS5? I have a ID5 card but I wanna try out a new car, so was just wondering.

it depends, let's say a game is $1.50
if you transfer from ID5 to ID6AA, you would need $4.50,
and by creating a new car, you would total up to $6
if you buy a new card straight from ID6AA, you would just need $4.50,
because after you paid for the card and chose your name,
it would bring you to car selection, without having to pay extras for the new car
but by transferring from ID5 to ID6AA,
you would have a lead of 5 or 10 levels, and your avatar will still be in-tact,
there will also be a bonus 200km mileage, where it will come in useful soon when it reaches 1100km
