I need to find out what time to turn to the outside from the straight inside. I also need to know the procedure and what eraser means.Thank You for your time. |

some ppl rkn u gotta turn to the outside at like a 45 degree angle to do a feint but thats not the case. as long as ur facing the oppisite side of the turn and turn quick enough, its considered a feint. for example ur going down Iro stik to the inner line and turn the weel say like 5 degrees to the outside. As u are about to reach the same lvl as the apex break turn shift of wat ever u need to do normally to make the turn. (depends on the turn if its a hair pin or wat ever) But wats even better is practise. some ppl never even follow the guides or help from other players cuz they feel better doin their own way. its realli up to u. Adapt to the normal feint wai....into ur own...and see how u go.....GOOD LUX |

That is the technique I use to feint |

but what i do is before i go to the turnis go inside the weave out shift down or break and let of the gas and turn hard its pretty easy once u get the hang of it |

Posted by: RX-8 Pyro Master Jan 17 2005, 09:26 PM |

a techniquw used mainly on the s curves of akine before the right hand corner of doom, c-121 in usui and other corners of usui as well, but it depends on the course as well. Basically what you do is go to the outside, downdhift to 4th(or 5th depending if ur car is either a 5 speed or a 6 speed) then quickly back up to 5th and what it does it breaks the traction of ur rear tires and makes it slide more, this has to be done correctly when enterring into a s curve corners or the high speed curves like in usui. |

I was under the impression that the Eraser technique doesn't really work on Version 2. Like, as in... not at all? |
Posted by: Saito Sep 12 2005, 10:00 PM |
Eraser does work on ver2, but not as effective as in ver3...IMO |
Posted by: poKo Sep 13 2005, 03:45 AM
only reason taht it doesn't work for ver2 is cos either u hv a FF car or u can't do it properly! as saito said not as effective maybe thats why u htink it doesn't work! |
Posted by: GhostWRX Sep 24 2005, 07:01 AM |
you see a slight diference but not enough to make it fantastic ....... i don'T use it anyway. except in hi-speed corners ( it's looks cool but thats all ) |

I still think the most usefull technique in v2 to gain speed in corner exit is the 5in4out, though I can't have the hang of it yet. Brief description for the guy who asked: Basically, You enter a corner in 5th gear, and you downshift in 4 at the apex, giving momentum to the car on the exit. Some said it also gives a better accel at the exit when getting no wall contact. The time you enter the corner is more late since you're in 5th gear, the braking is important to, so that's why I find it hard since the timing is really important. |

I've never even tried it on Version 2 because I was told it doesn't work. I've never really found I need it with the Spirit R, so I never bothered trying. |
Posted by: Yan the Cappucino rider Sep 26 2005, 08:30 AM
the spirit is already sliding so that i use it really rarely |
Posted by: GhostWRX Oct 5 2005, 07:34 AM |
if you say so..... anyway it's not very useful anyway |
Posted by: Yan the Cappucino rider Oct 5 2005, 08:20 AM |
anyway i dont use it either ijn akagi nor happo so .... but id like to if the 5in4out is usefull enough to learn how to do it in akagi |
Posted by: Saito Oct 5 2005, 06:02 PM
You enter the corner abit earlier from my experience and knowledge..then brake, step on accel a tthe apex then shift to 4th |
Posted by: poKo Oct 6 2005, 12:16 AM
not useful? the first hairpin of akagi i can get 140... is that not useful? normally i get 138.. what saito said haha thats how its done... hehehe... just ask him his pro~! timing of the turn is important n also feinting is a must? if u wanna go faster... |
Posted by: GhostWRX Oct 7 2005, 08:12 AM |
if ou mess up the rest of that section. it won'T be better ...... at first play it safe then you gradually take some risks that'S what i think, push it harder if you feel safe to do so but if you know one section is rather confusing to you, dont push it , you'll crash. |
Posted by: Yan the Cappucino rider Oct 13 2005, 08:22 AM |
anyway in akagi joker and i just do it in 4th all the way and we are able to get 138 w/ that way and he managed to do 2 15 6 by doing it like this |
Posted by: GhostWRX Oct 13 2005, 02:24 PM |
if it works for you then do it, but it doesn't apply to everyopne here in this forum honestly i don't care either way. |
Posted by: poKo Oct 13 2005, 06:09 PM
Im talkin abt 140 entery speed not exit.. |
Posted by: Yan the Cappucino rider Oct 24 2005, 08:33 AM
D'oh!!... but 140 for entry speed in the 1st corner of akagi ????? isn't it a bit slow ?!? |
Posted by: Saito Oct 24 2005, 05:20 PM |
hahahahahah |
Posted by: poKo Oct 25 2005, 12:28 AM |
oh is it slow? but u said u enter at 138? thats faster? well i don't really know if its slow of fast. but i can get 2.15.1 a little faster than ur joker friend. =p |
Posted by: Yan the Cappucino rider Oct 25 2005, 03:39 PM |
i said we could get 138 exit speed in 4th gear |
Posted by: poKo Oct 26 2005, 03:57 AM |
and im talkin abt "entry speed" meaning speed does not drop below 140.? |
Posted by: Yan the Cappucino rider Oct 31 2005, 09:20 AM |
it's a bit confusing but for me i say that we enter in 4th and stay in 4th gear all the way until the straight after the corner we enter at about 140 to clear it at 138 most of the time but that was before 1 month of retirement so.. |
Posted by: Saito Oct 31 2005, 04:03 PM |
i guess poko makes sense here. He enters at 140 and exit at 140..while you Yan enter at 140 and exit at 138? seems to me poko is faster...lol |
Posted by: poKo Nov 2 2005, 08:17 PM
u still can't get 2.15? |
Posted by: Saito Nov 3 2005, 02:29 PM |
mm....very hard to judge? |
Posted by: Yan the Cappucino rider Nov 11 2005, 09:21 AM
i know he's faster but i just want to understand well sorry if i dont have a perfect english but it's clear now and anyway i thoght about and can u use 5in4out in happo?? joker got 2 15 but i got the DAMN V turn sooooo bad that he lose me there everytime so that is when i got a new fd a type r but i've came back to tha olde spirits and i drive the spirit r now (when i drive cuz i'm very low on cash lol) the fact is that i can get about 2 18 only aso i still watch joker and learn but joker got some very nasty cuts on his right arm (about 55 (sorry i don't know it i english:points de suture)) so it's about 1 and a half month that we haven't played together |
Posted by: Nero Nov 11 2005, 03:58 PM |
Dude... you gotta watch how you're writing man, lol not to be mean but even if you're not english try to be careful I got some trouble understanding you there, and mostly everyone else won't lol I'm gonna answer you, you can 5in4out almost everywhere... but it won't affect your time on happo since it's a course where there's only consecutive corners... you won't have the chance to do it at all nowhere. You know the course, try to give me a place where you think you can 5in4out ... =) |
Posted by: poKo Nov 12 2005, 08:02 AM |
actually there are places where u can 5i-4o on happo... i do it 2 places on happo... the left turn under the tunnel before cp2.? and also the right turn before cp2? also others i forgot. |
Posted by: Saito Nov 13 2005, 02:55 PM |
mm..interesting...i will have to look att this... |
