Okay, I just wanna make sure does outer parts do any effect, example: Spoilers and exhausts.. Newb in IDA5.. =)

Nope, not at all. These exterior parts don't do anything

Well, there IS a very minor effect in battles; but that effect only has any impact if the other player cant see past your wing.

There's only one thing that affects the battle, SPOILER
Spoiler can block the vision of the enemy behind you, but most importantly, don't add spoiler to your car because it slows down your time. I tried it before there's a huge difference...

Now THAT is interesting. I've never seen any proof for that. Care to provide us with times to compare?

Adding spoilers to your cars is surely a good advantage in battle for blocking your opponents view ... BUT who in the world says that it SLOWS down your time ???

Please state down the reason coz i m so curious with so many of my cars with big n tall spoilers n i have no problems with it ...

I added my fc3s a spoiler before, and play the game as usual. Suddenly, there's a guy that want to challenge me, and so i accepted it. I was beaten by a stock s2000, after that he told me if you lower your spoiler's height or better "throw it away" your fc will be faster. At first, i didn't believe it, WTF! i thought cosmetics have nothing to do with performance! But i tried, you see, i am a "constant" person, my record won't improve, reach its limit... until i play TA with my new fc, the result is shocking!!! if i recall, 2-3 seconds the time has shorten... you have to be there to believe it.

It depends. Are you at WR times or doing +20? I think you just drove differently OR (if this is the case), you tuned up your FC. I noted that for me, Suspension Upgrade Step 5 slows me down. Post more information, your time on what course, your car's tune, etc.

my fc's fully tuned, i didn't drive differently, i always uses the same line. About the time and course i kinda forgot since it's months ago before i start posting here.

ermm battling wit stocks isnt a sure win scenerio if the opponent knows how to play or either u r not good enuf ...

if TAing depends either u have improved your basic knowledge of the game or still trying to understand it ... cosmetic changes doesnt give or decreased any effects on your runs ...

take your time n go read up the threads in here n from there u whd know who n who give the most positive informations bout the game b4 u start giving other ppl some other sorts of incorrect tips ...

hehehe, ok then... yes in that case i can tune my fc with spoiler again yay!

I have multiple problems with that.

One being if that was TRUE, then it would not explain how the Time Attacks with different Parts on the same cars (I mean Look at the Iro Cappu Vids) come within very close times of each other.

Second, you can't remove the wing. So if he told you to remove it, he's talking out of his ass. Just because a stock S2000 is wingless does not mean it's automatically better.

I have high doubts that you were doing the same thing with a different wing. You were probably braking or accelerating in a different matter and didnt notice it; because you THOUGHT the wing would do something.

Case in point, externals do nothing on the gameplay of a TA.

I didn't remove the wing, i just lowered it to the point it looked like Ryousuke's...
