| Anyway, I've decided to formally join this IDW radio movement, offering up both a selection of songs from many world nations (not just Japan, I promise!) and some talk. The show will be from 7-9 PM PST on Friday and Saturday. It's my first time doing radio, so I don't want to get too far ahead of myself. For the talk sections, I would really like it if people could "call in" to the show. For the duration of the broadcast I will have my Skype window open, so if you'd like to make a request on the air, make a shout-out, or even have a chat or interview, then that's greatly encouraged!! This is two hours, people--the more people participate, the better. So if anybody wants to chat up or interview/get interviewed on the air during the show... sign up here! Hopefully there will be some volunteers for tonight, even! If you have any questions about the show, post 'em up. Yoroshiku onegaishimasu~! |

Naw, BOZZ made a request for IOSYS and N1 gave BOZZ the proverbial middle finger (since he played it already) and played a song he originally was going to but it was dedicated from BOZZ to the IDW community. |

| No worries. How much of the broadcast did you catch? The DJ on after me didn't show up, so I ended up being on until 2AM EST. Any chance you have a way to get the recording onto your computer for possible sending?  |

I have a record on my compy, split into MP3's, the last completesong I have is Macross 7 - Heart & Soul. It weighs about 253 megs, so uploading from this computer would be a pain. I could try that on my other computer though, but certainly not today. I have a couple of songs in the incomplete folder, probably disconnects or something. I had to turn off the compy at about midnight of your time, so guess I've missed 2 hours from the broadcast  I also have a bit of Friday Night Fever, though it's about 17 songs. As for my way, I used a Winamp plugin called Streamreaper. http://streamripper.sourceforge.net/ |

Ahhh typos bug me! I think you got the name mixed up, lol. You swapped the "ea" and the "i" so it became "StrimReaper" instead of "StreamRipper." |

Thank you for correcting me. Guess being in a hurry doesn't always help you. The best thing is that if I wrote streamripper phonetically in Polish, then it'd have an "i" instead of "ea"  Anyways, I also record broadcasts using the record function of Xbox Media Center. It also automatically divides the downloaded music into individual songs and tags them. |

Makes things more efficient. Thanks for the stuff tonight guys, and BOZZ I will play your last request on Friday. You're lucky that I understand Otaku. Most people wouldn't understand what you want if all you say to the DJ is "Nadesico Ruri Number 1." As a treat for next Friday's listeners, I have gotten my hands on a new CD that has an IOSYS tune on it. It just came out. Also, to those who told me to change my name: I'm considering it, I really am. I did a little experiment this time during the blank hour and it was really fun. If it goes through we'll see what happens... might have to rename the thread! Night everybody, see you on Friday! |

| The one IOSYS song on the CD (there are four tracks on the disc, but since so many artists are listed in the material that came with the disc, I'm pretty sure only one is actually IOSYS) is hyper like Overdrive. It's all about Kaguya. A bunch of fanboys scream about Kaguya showing up, she yells at them to call her "Hime-sama," they get it wrong and scream "hime," she corrects them, they get it right... hilarity and hyperness ensues. |

| Oh wow, a first-time listener! Welcome! Thanks for the props. Normally I'm more animated, so I'll try to do better the next time. Which looks like it'll be either next Friday or next Saturday depending on my work schedule. Unless I can work something out with one of the other DJs. ======UPDATE======= DJ Phoenix Wright is on hiatus... I simply can't do this schedule as it stands. I'm gonna talk it over with Pear-bear and see if something can't be moved around. Damn 3-hour time difference... I'm always at work or out... bah. Oh well. The time off gives me a chance to find a better mic. |

| I'll repeat it anyway... The hours were changed because I have them set up so that the radio doesn't interfere with my work schedule. In NY, I got off of work around 9 so having the show at 10 EST was perfect. Here, I get off at 10 at the latest, so I can't make a 7 PM deadline. So the hours were moved. Sanae: Perry told me he already asked/informed you!!!! As I recall he said you and Ash were moving your hours earlier. Please talk to Perry, he told me he already talked to you two... |

| Had a great show Friday premiering the new IOSYS CD, "Touhou SuiSui SuuSuu." I'll be uploading that onto megaupload for people in a little bit. I had a plan to premiere a new CD on Saturday as well, but as it turned out I had been awake since 7 PM Friday, and so after work was totally beat. Thanks to Sanae for miraculously coming in and providing some tunes for an hour or so. Will be back Friday, hopefully this time without the insane spirit-bending insomnia. |

| Hahaha! Anyway, you click the "Chat" link at the top of IDW. If you're using Trillian instead of real AIM, it's a little trickier... you have to put this into your Start->Run... command and then hit enter: aim:gochat?roomname=initial+d+world+radio&exchange=4 For whatever reason, Trillian doesn't have the same security settings as AIM. Thus why none of the AIM links on IDW work with it. |

| I actually have a batch file for the command, so I just click the shortcut and voila, IDW Chat! If you're curious, just put the following into notepad, then save as "IDW Chat.bat" (making sure to select "All Files" as the filetype).

| The last hour (well 45 minutes) was all Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu music, with the exception of "Tori no Uta" and "Aozora" from AIR (requested by another listener). After Daft Punk, it was a bunch of random requests and stuff. The most epic parts of the middle were playing random stuff off of DBZ soundtracks (Chat: HOLY CRAP EPIC MUSIC!), and sneaking in a remix of a song from Castlevania. Altogether, an awesome show. | Alright guys, i managed to grab the full 2 hour session of this DJ Phoenix Wright, today wasn't that bad, but it wasn't that good. When he made that voice, i just started crying of how scary it was xD. Anyways, i got into some problems. I recorded it at the standard of 96kb/ps but when i trimmed it, it went up to `128kb/ps which making it 111mb >.<. gonna try and get it down to 96kb/ps again, so it might take some time. |

I was planning on having the show co-hosted but the co-hosts didn't get online so that fell through... and while I played some epic music during the show, once I got to the last segment I totally failed. Tried to sing IOSYS music with a new Karaoke CD. Only thing is they're full instrumentals with no assisted background singers, so you have to do everything. And well, I hadn't practiced. Friday Night: N1 Karaoke Challenge, Presented by InitialDRulz Well, last week people got mad because I died and didn't do radio. And so in the meantime people were requesting stuff, and somewhere along the line Karaoke got into the discussion and IDR challenged me to do some songs, which I accepted because I don't back down from something silly like that. So InitialDRulz, I hope you're ready. I'm gonna sing my heart out! LISTEN TO MY SONG!!! Requests will also be taken, for either listening to or forcing N1 to sing. I figure I'll give you guys the option to have a break from N1 blowing eardrums. Or force me to sing something ridiculous. Saturday Night: VNV Nation: Finest Hour VNV Nation is a band that most likely very few of you guys know... they do a genre that I didn't even understand until recently, "Industrial." I still have but a faint idea of what that actually means, but their music is really amazing stuff. As such I happened to nab their discography, and it includes a spectacular hour-long mix of their best works. Sw33t. I'll be playing that for you probably in the second hour of the show, with the first hour being open for requests and such. Gotta fill up the other hour somehow, eh? |

We've tried doing multi-person karaoke over Skype, but Skype has two problems: 1.) It's not full-rate [in stereo mix for radio broadcast]. Meaning that if I'm singing, only my voice will come through. Whenever my voice stops, everyone else's comes in. This is probably due to Stereo Mix causing problems with Skype's inputs. 2.) There is a few-second lag between hearing the other end and speaking, so something that requires timing is nigh impossible. Ever since Bozz, Twitch and I tried to do Hare Hare Yukai over Skype, I've scrapped the Skype project. If you'd like to be on the show though, don't fret! This goes for anyone who wants to be on the show this Friday!!!! If you would like to have yourself doing a karaoke on the show, you have to record it. Get a good audio recorder (I recommend Audacity), set it to record your microphone, then listen to the song you wanna sing through headphones (so the mic doesn't pick it up) while singing into your recording program. This'll give you an audio track of only your voice. If you already know your way around an audio mixing program (Audacity, GoldWave, etc), then feel free to mix your voice in as you see fit. If you're not as audio-savvy, send an MP3 of your voice and I'll see if I can mix it. So if you want a song played, PM me and let's set something up. I'd be more than happy to share Friday with other IDW members!! |

| Yeah i have 3 connections running, one from my routers streaming connection, one from my PC, and just a backup, my brother is also recording the stream on his connection (the router and my PC is my connection). I'll make sure to switch all downloads and uploads while this show happens so that it would be a clean rip...but the problem is that i can't really upload it fast enough because my connection is slow...... | Oh man... I'm real sorry about this, then... it sucks to do... But today's show has to be cancelled. Tomorrow I have to be up at 6 AM to go to traffic school, and that lasts all the way up until I have to go to work, which lasts up to that radio show. If there's gonna be any glimmer of hope for a show on Saturday (and me conscious during traffic school and my job), I need to hit the sack as soon as I get back from work today. | Well. today, Mr Phoenix Wright was absent, and the people in the chat room was really upset that he was offline after we missed the epicness from yesterday and today. So DJ Perry jumped on and played the Dave Podcast...and then a bit of Skype Chat which turned it to be a complete failure. Then suddenly, 'A Retarded Person' jumped onto the radio and replaced DJ Phoenix Wrights absence. A pretty big fail show but at least there was something for the people who were waiting. I managed to redeem myself in multiple areas, including finally playing all of APX's requests from two weeks ago (sorry for the delay, man!!), and properly singing the songs I failed at last week. I apologize for the randomness that always seems to befall Saturday nights, but Saturday is usually my "test and see if people like it" day, since there are usually less listeners than on Fridays. | Man, the audio upload shouldn't get posted. I'm serious, don't post it. If someone wants it, they can PM someone who can hand it over, but it has lots of moaning and cursing and stuff in it, so it's not general-audiences like my normal shows are. I'd prefer if it didn't just hit the thread like that, hahaha. The AIM log is fine, since I've now erased the photos I had in my imageshack. It was only for the duration of the show, since those images violate their TOS and I don't feel like getting banned when I have like 111 pages' worth of images uploaded already. Next week I think I'll keep this up by reviewing Da Capo, my favorite game. Mainly because Da Capo is one of my favorite Anime of all time, and I loved it before I knew what an erogame was. Then I got to college and my friend was like, "You know Da Capo is an H-game.......right?" and I was like "OH LAWD REALLY!?" and yeah, that pretty much ended it. So next week should be fun. | I can't start any earlier since that would cut into DJKilla's broadcast as well as mandatory "DJ Server" time, but I will make sure to record the entire deal(including my own, IDR's, and N1's shows) via Audacity to avoid the fiasco that was last weekend's epic shows. |

| Well, it looks like epic plans have double-booked me for Friday night, but thanks to brand-new equipment I may be able to do a live broadcast from the scene of epic win! Basically, I'm not gonna be anywhere near my computer on Friday night until like 1 AM (after the show), but I'll bring my cell phone (internets!) and my laptop (computer!) and my new equipment (secret!) to try broadcasting on-location. We'll see how it goes! Saturday is as-scheduled though! |

| Well guys, i'm back after a hefty lot of homework that was set at school. Yes i do have Saturday's and Sunday's show. I am willing to upload Saturday's show but i will not upload Sunday's show due to personal reasons (Uploading a Hentai gaming show with all the sexual noises? I don't want the cops on me) and i don't care if the WHOLE ENTIRE FORUMS wants it. I will have to refuse to upload it. UNLESS, its SPECIFICALLY asked by Nomake Wan himself, i'm not uploading Sunday. with the IDR Servers (i don't know why i call that), the problem is that i capped the download speed to 25kb maximum (maybe i jacked it up i can't remember). Reason being is because everyone is downloading the Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 3 soundtrack (like 1 full album every hour) and it really bog's down the download speed on the other files which causes it to slow down on the other files. If it crashes....then theres your reason xD ...*just read back* well apparently, people are having problem with the server --'. Ok, i'll won't install the leech attempts on the radio shows from now on because for some reason...people disconnect when i had no problems at all downloading all 3 at school at max power. I do recommend however to have your download managers ready because theres gonna be alot of crashes happening due to my server (bur.st) is going through some shit that i don't know. Thats all i goto say. |

| I have requested that Sunday (Saturday for those east of the international date line)'s show be uploaded, so as soon as IDR's host has finished its maintenance it should be available for anyone who asks. Again, it won't be posted in this thread... so you'll have to ask around. |

Just noticed that, actually. What happened was, I was unable to copy the entire log at one time so I had to do sections of it in order, but my ctrl+c apparently didn't work on one block (the one that's missing) and thus pasted the same section twice instead before moving on regularly. Not much I can do about it now. I know that I hit a rate limit warning for doing a ridiculous Kamehameha bit in that time in relation to a rather explicit act being voted on, but nothing else comes to mind. |

| Friday's show was only like 10 minutes long, and I forgot to unmute the mic in the control panel for the intro... oh well. But I got to play Twitch's gift (IDR and I doing "Ash Like Snow" together), and once I figured out the mic thing we did get some words in from the partygoers. That was cool. The show for tonight--N1 Review Series Presents: Da Capo--is still on schedule... but I'd better get some sleep! |
