Admittedly my only experience with the series has been P4 but that was more than enough to get me interested in a sequel.

Yeah there was...P4 Arena....and the PS Vita remake I believe. There was also a short novel series with Naoto as well. All I have to say is...huh. The reveal...my reaction was just eh. |

It's actually a 3DS game (Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth) and a dancing game, as I recalled. Why, Atlus? |

IF you were expecting ATLUS to release Persona 5 for the PS3 only, you were wrong. There's a new trailer out, courtesy of ATLUS.

It's a different story altogether from the looks of things. P4 Arena wasn't really a legit entry in the Persona series. |

| The stories are independent , but with the occasional wink-nudge at the other games. So goddamned hype for this, first game I've really looked forward to on the PS4 that isn't Destiny or Last of Us.  |

| If you bought P4DAN, you may have noticed an extra promo that came with the game. http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2015/06/24-1/video-new-persona-5-trailer-leaks-thanks-to-persona-4-dancing-all-night-bonus it seemingly emphasizes on the Fool Arcana - decisions down the line during the story, really. Also, kind of a bit gutsy replacing Igor's VA. Don't know if it's Koichi Yamadera from the sounds of it. "Once your fate has been set, then we can meet again in the future. Gyahahahahahaha!" |

We have a September release....................in Japan.
I have to admit, one of the things I've liked about the Persona series beyond the style, music and gameplay is that it still knows its identity. Something that franchises like Final Fantasy started to forget I think. |
