Anime: -At first, a Red Suns member attempts to start the countdown, but Keisuke interrupts, saying that he would like to start, as it's fitting that he starts the race with Ryosuke. -It is Yuichi who tells Bunta Takumi is in front, and Bunta is the one who says that it's best to be chasing, rather than being chased. -Takumi uses the exit-oriented variant of the gutter hook when behind Ryosuke, in order to close the gap. -Mako and Sayuki are already known when they are seen, as the Usui battle took place before this battle, unlike the manga. -The Speed Stars are overjoyed over Takumi's victory. -Takumi is shown to cross the finish. One note: when I first watched the anime, when the big race happened, I took a guess and assumed that Keisuke would start the countdown, and... I got it. Overall, pretty interesting differences there. Another note: when Ryosuke tells Takumi that there's a bigger world, it seems to make more sense in the manga, as the latter's race against Impact Blue happened after this race there. But which version do you enjoy more? This post has been edited by fujito10 on May 20 2017, 10:37 AM |

The silence about Takumi's victory with FC is shocking. The manga breaks the 4th wall (Deadpool feelings) talking like they know they are manga characters. Tsuchiya is an exclusive "character", being Bunta's friend and talking with Takumi in the credits of Final Stage. It's funny to see in three different perspectives: original anime, manga and anime dubbed. |

It gives Takumi more time to develop and believably take on Ryosuke, instead of where the manga treats it almost entirely as a fluke win. |
