I have pictures but I will post them on my build thread later as for the cars all of them are 84 rex 2 GS models and one gsl we are offering $1200 for them he wants them gone but they are all 12a models and haven't ran in in quite sometime 2 of them can be saved and one can be used for parts but it will take quite the work to get 2 of them even in a decent running shape and safe to drive again wish me luck guys. |

When I was shopping around six years ago (geez, it's been a long time), the closest I could get to that were two FC's for $1400. One of those "Take two bad to make one good" deals. The cars were in worse shape than the CL ad suggested, so I didn't go for it (ignoring the fact that I wouldn't have been able to handle that much work at the time). Then the other two will will he for personal advertisement and enjoyment so they will be spit, shined and run till they break down. [ Post made via Mobile Device ] |

But my,car is almost done and we want another project car and the other two cars will be running and driven daily so they won't be sitting around [ Post made via Mobile Device ] |

They sell for quite a bit. There are entire forums dedicated to swapping a V8 into a RX7. Any updates?

What I cocked an eyebrow to was that he said he was completely stripping it and then swapping a V8 in and selling it. So basically a frame with a V8. [ Post made via Mobile Device ] |

He probably knows about it already, but I just wanted to say that there is a market and plenty of resources for V8-swapped RX7's. I wish him best of luck on his venture. IDW Expert Member Group: Members Posts: 104 Member No.: 45,235 Joined: Feb 14th 2015 Location: Burley, Idaho | The only update on the Rx7s right now is we may get the cars but he is really trying to push $4000 out of use but it turns out only one car runs and not very well. So basically we have 2 broke down rexes and one that could maybe be driven home and we told him no more then $1200 but he thinks he has a gold mine but without running motors 2 of those car are worthless and the one that runs needs to have it's fuel drained and all the fluids changed l along with plugs, wires, and coil packs to run good so we would be into that car already. We are going again this weekend to take a look at the cars with the owner this time and just try to break the news to him because those cars are worthless unless restored or already in pristine conditions with low original miles. There was a guy near me once that had a really busted-ass DeLorean and wanted over-half-new-DeLorean-money for it. Yeah no, once you factor in repairs you might as well just buy a new one, dude. Good luck talking the guy down. |

I 100% agree with you but the guy kept telling me and my buddies that oh no we can't take less then $2500 because they are worth more then that and I just kind of chuckled but its funny because after me and my buddies showed up in our mechanics uniforms he got really quiet about being ASE Certified and being a mechanic for the last 15 years. but sadly I regret not being able to save them and getting them fixed up and engine swapping one of them and saving any parts for those just in case emergencies. we told him to have fun trying to sell them for that price or enjoy the $100 a car he will get from the crap yards xD

California is giving me $1500 to send my Maverick to the crusher. If you match their price I'm more than willing to let it live on. Most people won't pay $1500 for a '74 Maverick sedan that's got shot weatherstripping, is starting to rust on the roof and has had a tree fall on it however. I know Plentymoon isn't in California, but if he were then the refund for sending an old clunker to the crusher is pretty hefty.

the reason why im sure he will only get bout $100 is because I have seen a 2nd gen taken to the scrap yard and was only given about $150 but it was a a rolling chassis pretty straight had the mottor in it and parts worth more on it then scrap thats for sure but I was told it had been scrapped by some kid and to this day I regret not buying it before it got scrapped.
