| I would say this version is superior, if they manage to get the cars relatively balanced. Seriously. I mean, in v3 you have the lousy cars that no one drives except for fun and you have the true battle cars. And you got TA cars. For me I think v5 excels here since no one car can dominate all tracks. There will be a place one can have a fighting chance. Only miss Akina Snow but can always hope they bring it back...after all, it would be fun to see snow in v5 physics... |

| I'd be totally stoked for snow. If they do bring it back, i hope they bring on every course, well at least every course in Gunma and Tochigi (aka, Myogi, Akina, Akagi, Irohazaka and Happogahara). Those locations do observe heavy snow fall in the winter here in Japan. |

| i'm ambiguous about Snow... especially with V5 physics. snow on Iro will probably end up being a ramming game. Akagi, tsukuba snow may be fun though... but there comes a time when too many choices is too much? ppl will end up fishing each other a lot a lot |

| Id.5 obviously better - no overrev noise during corners (over rev is annoying to me) - the cars dont swing like v4 - easier to go tuning shop - more choice of car (yay FD type RS is back) - More realistic gameplay - cars seems more balanced and act more like their charateristic (FF,FR,4WD,MR) yeah ID.5 is a win for me  |

| Talk bout ver4, it remind me when I went to arcade to play Id5 yesterday, and saw a guy playing few rounds, i saw his card but he didn't use it after i got there, then he try the EG6 and went for IRO, i was like LOL, He tried to use PC and wallrape tech ver5 and obviously he phail got beaten by MR2 badly .... |

V3 is still fun. Surprisingly i get a bigger kick out of driving a stock car on v3 than a tuned car in v4. too bad most of the v3 machines i tried in recent couple of years are all half-working machines. either throttle, steering or gearshift not working... =( |

No it is not. Kyoko's FD is the same as Keisuke's. Both are Type R they put in the Spirit R for kicks.. |

yes and no. in the game it should be the equivalent to the Spirit R Type A in Version3. in real life... the Spirit R is just a special name for the final production run of 1500 FD which have everything that came before. of which Type RS was the 2nd last model. (the last was the limited edition RZ which is a lightened version of the RS. |

| Type RS difference with Type R,so far i only noticed the BOV sound, RS don't have it, so for those want BOV sound better go with Type R As performance, I'm not sure, i'm still wondering where RS homecourse, and as usual Type R is more popular  @ShinRei : well type RS - Spirit R aren't not exactly the same(car specs), only outside appearance only the same, while Spirit R have the "R"emblem at the side. |

| I saw people that still used the ID4 techniques. Then again I was one of those idiots too. But once was during the stupid 'bug' which the machines weren't calibrated properly. FD Spirit looks interesting...if it performs lousier than the FD Type R I might just go for it... |

I think it performs about the same, just matter of popularity, Type R is more popular since it got Keisuke Mod (RE AMEMIYA) and it seems offer more/better looking parts |

| Well, so far this is the first version which doesn't have bullsh!t techs like PC, eraser etc. pure technique, out-in-out and knowing a cars limits. I think this JUST ranks higher than v3 on my list. V4 IMO was no brakes except for PC, and every man and his dog used or tried to use TST and eraser to fk up the shifter.. |

Tstya... give it a month or 2 before starting a "V5 vs V3" thread... by then everyone should have a clearer stand on which one they liked more now is still too early.. some people havent tried, others barely tried. you do have to remember that V2 had a large following, so V3 picked up from there. V5 though.. have to win back people who left during V4 which is quite a bit tougher! |

yer, but for people like me who have played id 10 times more than ur average player since version 2 i think i know a bit .ver2 was good but they should've just made the integra the only playable car in the game to just make it OK for everyone to drive dc2's. ver3 was the best because it had most variety, most tracks, most cars, and besides from eraser and tst (only the nubs who didnt know how to do these complained, which is 80% of the international scene) the gameplay and physics were excellent. i dont know which shit head created the accel penalty, but i bet its because hes been reading too much porno's instead of doing car related work. |

| For right now ver4 is like ver1, so ver.3 is like final version of that IDAS, since ver4 ID use new gameplay/system, so i assume ver.4 is like ver1, and ver5 is like ver2, thus later IDAS.6 is gonna be like ver.3 which offers more courses(snow for all courses maybe)/features/more parts(maybe). That's what I think |

| V4 SUCKS really bad & most of us agree with it V5 SUCKS AS WELL, but not as bad as V4, V5 is like battle gear but i really don't feel it (maybe cuz we got it online with the key so u can change ur own setup, cuz that make a difference), while a friend on facebook said 2 me this

| Cant really compare v3 and V5, v3 is like the final version of that system, while v5 still not. Unless we compare v2 and v3. It's matter of preference, as for now I prefer v5, Customize parts, better graphic (and Happo is more like actual happo now). And no flooring all the way x) |

| ID5 has a steeper learning curve than ID4, but in the long run, it's more fun than ID4... the braking point, steering inputs, and accel control (knowing when to step on the gas and when not to) allow for more challenging gameplay... based on the 3 arcade stage versions i've played, IDv3 > ID5 > ID4... |

I have to say though, that in order to compare, you ought to try the game. @Seitok: I don't think that's a good idea. If they did keep PC, I actually believe that you wouldn't be seeing the number of people coming back to play ID5. |

| Heron: Maybe PC was not like by everyone but for some, PC made the game more fun so it was sad when version 1.5 came out since they took it away. PC was like a special technique, like eraser, than allow some to do better than others, if it was just brake can accelerate, it may not always be good since there is no hidden secrets that put the best seperated out the group. |

| ID5 for me is that it makes ur driving experience much more realistic. Instead of cornering at high speed like ID3 and PC-ing ur way to the finish line like ID4, ID5 corners at low speeds and accelerates on straights. I hope this version stays for awhile. |

Hidden secrets? Eh...I gotta say that it isn't the best way to endear a game to the crowd. Besides, this version has secrets of its own. Boost is key, for instance, and lining becomes a lot more important. People who are not aware will push the car hard in all CPs, not knowing that there's a boost mechanism. ID5 is better in this respect IMO...but who knows? Maybe there is some secret thing involved that we still do not fully understand as yet. |
