I just hope the Vocaloid special will be epic this Friday and I'll get more than like..12 listeners or so |

Tune in this Friday to level up with your favorite swordsman whose hair burns like a fire! Who am I talking about? Why none other than our very own Adol Christin of course! I have decided to hold an Ys special this week. Thanks to Nomake for the help in deciding on this. I realized that for as long as I have been a DJ for IDW, I have YET to hold an Ys special, despite being a fan of the series So! Be prepared for some retro music (1987 goodness!), live performances, new age, and an all around epic show for those interested in the series as well. I'll be working up the playlist starting tomorrow. Stay tuned |

( ・ω・) Group: Advanced Members Posts: 807 Member No.: 12,980 Joined: Sep 28th 2005 Location: In the world of gaming and anime | Well, there's going to music from Ys I (naturally), Ys II, Ys III, Ys: Oath in Felghana, and some tracks from the Super Arrange Version album of Ys Origin. There will also be a couple of live performances played during the show as well. One song in particular being, "To make the End of Battle". There will also be Super Arranged versions of songs from Ys I, II, and III in the playlist as well. Honestly, I didn't really care too much for the music in IV: Mask of the Sun or Dawn of Ys. Ys V wasn't really too appealing to me either and Ys VI: Ark of Napishtim mainly had Konami's hands on it, so I'm not too fond of it either. You'll also be hearing a couple of repeats. For example: since Oath in Felghana is practically a remake of Ys III: Wanderers from Ys, using the Ys VI engine, you will hear the original Ys III version of say, "Ilburns Ruins", then later, the Ys: Oath in Felghana version will play. In any case, there will be 52 songs playing for Friday's show. I've got the playlist prepared already, I just need to organize the music in the proper order and throw in my intermissions, make a couple of recordings, then it will be finished. I hope the show this week will be as good as last week's EDIT: Can I has good grammar? This post has been edited by Kikumaru on Jul 16 2008, 05:01 AM |

( ・ω・) Group: Advanced Members Posts: 807 Member No.: 12,980 Joined: Sep 28th 2005 Location: In the world of gaming and anime | This week I have prepared something known as, "Risky Friday" which will feature music from the anime/manga titles known as: Kaiji and Akagi For those of you that don't know, Akagi is about a young 13 year old boy that takes up Mahjong to save someone from debt. One thing leads to another and he begins plunging deeper into the darkness that is gambling. Kaiji is a gambling series as well. It starts out with a guy who is interested in just playing cards with his friends to trying to get out of a debt a friend has left him by getting on a ship which has a card gambling game, then succumbing to the sin known as greed, causing himself to dig his hole even deeper, struggling against the odds. I think both series are absolutely fantastic and they both have a rather epic OST, so I have chosen to compose a list from both series and play it for this week's show, and since they are both about gambling, that's why I decided to call it, "Risky Friday". I was going to go with, "Gambling After Dark", but meh..it just sounded simple. Anyway, I hope you all tune in and enjoy tomorrow's show. It's going to be quite epic. Who knows..it might even inspire you to pick up these two great series |

If there's a problem, I'll be on AIM later since I'll have an hour to kill before I get on the air anyway |

Unlimited Request Works Group: Advanced Members Posts: 1,468 Member No.: 18,031 Joined: May 27th 2006 Location: Toronto, Canada | And then we have ANOTHER problem. Actually, MORE THAN ONE. Nomake Wan asked if he could take my USUAL timeslot for tonight (7-9PM PST). I plan to give it to him anyway, since for friday and saturday, I'm starting IMMEDIATLY after the mandatory eurobeat set ends, but then his show and Kikumaru's show would conflict. And then there's Tesso's show. Which I don't know when it'll start. This post has been edited by HashiriyaR32 on Jul 25 2008, 01:42 PM |

I just found out yesterday that Nomake wanted to go on before myself. Thanks to Bozz, he was thinking I had an earlier schedule . So basically, it just amounted to..when was Hashi going to get on, Nomake, then when would I come on? So far, it seems as though there won't be any conflict with my timeslot. Why don't you just hop on after I get off, Tesso? I go from 11:00 P.M. to 1:00 A.M. CST. I guess us fellow deejays should talk a little more often amongst each other so we can be a little more organized in the future |
