Lol I guess this will be my first post since my banishment 4? 5 years ago?

anyway, sold the S12 (did a KA24E swap but never finished), bought a 88 Z31 (300ZX) N/A 2+2 auto, traded it for a stang, sold the stang and bought a cheap Z31 turbo, i built that and someone decided to hit me from behind. Insurance company claimed it and payed out, now i have a 84 Z31 (was the very very first month of 1984 number 1035) cha

this is my build thread and what I have done since purchasing the car.

I Bought her with 294k miles, original motor everything original but it over heated and blew a head gasket. i pulled the motor and rebuilt it.

so here i present, Alice aka the white ghost.

I don't believe we've met before. Welcome back. smile.gif

Z31's look pretty awesome in person. Not very photogenic imo, but awesome nonetheless.

Best of luck with it.

Thank you, missed this place a lot, thought about it once in a blue moon lol. it's not the prettiest but it doesnt have to be pretty to be fast.

looking at making a standing mile queen.

I'm gonna dyno soon and see my numbers, I'd be happy with 350-450hp.

I'm thinking of COMPLETELY stripping her. gross weight is about 2850 for a turbo 2 seater. people have gotten it around 2500.

tin cans FTW! anyway, very soon I'm gonna build a VG34ET it will have all the bells and whistles.

HX35(maybe a HX40), big boy cams, 9.1 cr, forged pistons, Z32 twin turbo oil pump, Z32 crank, Z32 flywheel/clutch. it could push 700hp if i wanted but i could also keep a power level of 350hp if i want.

out of THAT motor I'd like 500. maybe more depends how i feel. lol as stupid as it sounds i want this Z to be known as a GT-R/ZR1 killer.

Well then, how do you know sir?

it's true, ever since this faggot wrecked my last Z (car accident hit from behind and sandwiched) things have not been the same.

I think this is the worse luck I've ever had in my whole life really, but things are looking up as of late.

first motor, I built it, spent a total of 1k on it, 25 miles later it blew because of improper bearing clearances (no i didnt check clearances thought everything would work it's self out boy was i wrong the crank spun free so i saw no issues), i was in boost when that happened. facepalm.gif laugh2.gif

pulled this motor from a maxima right? had 60k miles AWESOME! drop the oil pan, surprise you have warped heads (literally i didnt find any issues with the hg's looked through them with a magnifying glass say no issues.) sent the heads to a machine shop to have them checked, one was cracked, soo i had spare heads laying around, decided to throw those on since i rebuilt them. threw them on.

had a sputter issue was my HKS blow off valve that cracked, and the guy that welded the flange did a half ass job, ugh. so much frustration but yet so much dedication to this car.

issues issue issue, but slowly their getting worked out.

my wastegate was a issue too got it fixed LOL guess what happens. two weeks later break a CV joint clean lmaooo.

And those don't count the problems he had with the car that got into an accident before it got into said accident. Harada was lucky to have a solid Z31 that was able to drive properly and only blow a head gasket by comparison.

i had just gotten her the way i wanted sad.gif that same week i was gonna go intercooled and big big injectors. sad.gif but im glad it happened in a way, my last Z was a total rust bucket. yea that thing was crazy. i remember thought i had rod knock blink.gif pulled the motorset, turned out to be one of the flywheel bolts moved out pinch2.gif even with lock tight. facepalm.gif yea that Z was something else, I'm having more luck with this one then that one.

this Z i had to make a 3 hour trip to pick it up and 3 hour trip back. from miami to tampa, LOL. it had a blown headgasket at 294k miles, original engine. but it was half assed like a mofo haha. it was worth it. i have the history for it up to 1996 to 2009, more then 10k in repairs in the car.

yea that engine was gone, water in the cylinders. it had sat for about 1 year and 5 months. so yea those cylinder walls were very rusty..

anyway this one doesnt have nearly as much rust as my last, very very very very little rust. it's actually manageable.

Why wouldn't he? It's the most aesthetically pleasing of all Z generations, both inside and out. happy.gif

By the way, who'se Kouki is that?

it was a friends, an 88 turbo, it was over because he run over a big bump in the rain, all the electrical stuff stopped working all at once except the engine which was running off the batt. alternator stopped charging too.

lol we went through everything LOL fuses and all, turned out to be a fusible link.

No. And because there's a 20-character limit on posts, hell no. Don't get me wrong, I can respect a Z31, but just no.
