GM almost released a four rotor MR corvette in the mid-seventies, but GM pres. put the project on hold while they fixed emission problems, never restarting it, he retired a month later causing the project to fail. The only other manufacturer to successfully release a rotary powered car(pre-mazda) was NSU, who collaborated with Dr. Felix Wankel to make the NSU Wankel Spider. |
