@Nao bro, hmm I certainly hope so. I went to try a few rounds today after sending my gf to work. It seems my CP1 I can hit 41:8xx 2nd CP 44:6xx 3rd CP 43:8xx But sadly my last CP screwed up at the last corner before the straights.. Supposed to cross the bend at around 136 - 138.. Reach the end of the straights 170.. I reached the end with only 162.. Zzz. Then I gave up. Cos I had to go home anyway.. Sigh.

@Yaki bro, welcome back smile.gif Certainly hope could see you and the rest soon! Need some more inspirations. Haha! tongue.gif

I'll be expecting some major changes to your TA timings soon. Hehe. laugh.gif

@Vodka
I still haven't figured out how to get 170km/h at the end. That's the problem i'm having. I will keep trying. Akina is a course for me to keep calm and go fast. Whereas, Nagao is just frustrating and the course to literally break my arms. laugh.gif

I'm currently running 2'54"9 which is nothing great to shout about but I'm really confused because I can shave off about 1.3 seconds from CP1, CP2 and CP3 combined and even reach 170 90% of the time on CP4 but my speed seems to drop drastically around the bends at CP4 which results in a slow down of about 1.3 to 1.7 seconds....

No idea what I'm doing wrong man...Maybe I didn't conserve tires?

I didn't even think there was a need to conserve tires in D6 TAs. blink.gif

It's confirmed there is. Cause on one of the maps after your TA, takahashi ryosuke will come out and speak in Japanese about tire management. And it's pretty evident in AKAGI UH as well as AKINA DH when you drift but use too much tires by dragging your gear.

please explain. what do you mean dragging the gear? you mean must do the tire management. comfirm? if let say it true. the last cp timing normally will not get the constant timing right? blink.gif

@cat: maybe RED-LINING the engine is a better term to describe it.

This is particularly evident on Akina DH....

I noticed that when I drift a corner, I will always go down one gear, brake and accelerate all at one go. This gives me a nice drift with nice angle but if you look at my tachometer, you will see that the RPM needle is bouncing off the max RPM until I exit the corner and shift up.

Alternatively, I've tried drifting using another method and that is to enter the corner, brake then accelerate and DOWNshift while I'm halfway through then up shift again. This shortens the amount of time the engine is red-lining and somehow, I'm able to get faster acceleration out of corners and conserve boost a little better.

I'm not too sure if what I observed is mere coincidence and really works or I might be focusing on the wrong things but as long as tire management is concerned, I find that red-lining the engine too often during corners has a correlation to how much or how little tire you save when you're out of the corner...

@yakiniku
I'm assuming you get your 2'53 with the new method you thought of? laugh.gif
Maybe i should try your method on Nagao as well, i find it harder and harder to reach 165 at the end, and maintain it at 160+ for the last wide left to the finish. Acceleration just isn't that fast, so i'm guessing it's about lesser red-lining the engine as well. ermm2.gif

I'm not sure about this but I assume that the DRIFT thing has something to do with our exit acceleration. I've also tested this on Akina DH and the last hairpin before the long stretch is the most evident for this. On some pro videos, I see that once they exit, the DRIFT just turns off from yellow to nothing. But what I see from my run is once I exit the corner, it goes to blinking from yellow, then off.

From what I can think off, the game thinks that I don't drift properly and gave me very bad acceleration. This might happen with your run as well. I think the game needs you to make the DRIFT from yellow to nothing once you finish a drift, or else you'll get bad acceleration.

I believe the constant blinking after the golden 'drift' disappears just means that your tires are still at a state of sliding and haven't fully gripped the road yet. So yes, i think you've got a very good point there to conserve more boost by just making the golden drift disappear completely, at least for Akina.
The constant blinking is very helpful for consecutive corners though, Nagao DH's CP1 is one example of that, i get to slide all around with ease at my speed being not below 100km/h. The boost still kicks in at the last CP. smile.gif

@vodka: when's your first paper ending? Haven't seen you in a bit.

@cat: I think you can try the right turn wall raping method.

Just keep in mind that for all right turns from CP1 to CP3, try to turn earlier so that your car can hit the wall. While doing so, easing off the gas and letting the car slide across the corner will give you faster acceleration. Anyway, do try this method with other cars other than your 86 because I feel that cars like the RX7 type RS or NA6CE and NSX are easier to manage

@vodka.- thanks. must show me before the event.

@yakiniku. - thanks for the advise. I have try the wall method with 86. (vodka told me this morning)(i only have gc8, 86 and FT86) . it really work but with AT car facepalm.gif I use MT car i got a very big problem to shit the gear up and down so fast. very very busy for me to do that. anyway i do not have the intention to master this map at all. hopefully just to pass the event of Iro DH. now i use AT car can get 2.53 timing i believe is enough rolleyes.gif thanks for all the help laugh.gif

I see. You can try practicing with AT and somehow, I think AT in Iro is pretty good because recently I just tried AT and I got very close timings to my Manual...

So its either my Manual sucks or AT somehow just works for Irohazaka DH...

Iro mostly run in gear 2 to gear 4 which good match of AT car. AT car got 2 weak point. first is from gear 4 to gear 5 (too early to shift up gear).second is take longer time to hit peak of gear 5. i know i not good in change gear so fast therefore i think better use AT car to run rolleyes.gif
