Shmuck Group: Members Posts: 6 Member No.: 149 Joined: Dec 17th 2002 Location: Update Profile | Tainted you have a very good point, but I seem to think its a matter of where the car is marketed, in the US the Infiniti G-35 coupe and 4door are exactly mechanically identical to the new 350 Z. I think the case in Japan is that Nissan is trying to push the car with a well-known name hence calling it a Skyline. Plus to my knowledge the Infiniti label is not used in Japan there all strictly Nissans. pic of the g-35 4 door http://www.infiniti.com/discover/ModelHome...9,22756,00.html looks very similar to the skyline you posted. |

IDforum OG member Group: Advanced Members Posts: 2,156 Member No.: 141 Joined: Dec 11th 2002 Location: Ontario, Canada | well that looks more like a skyline... wicked! but according to the site... that skyline r35 is just plain rumor... i know for a fact that the v35[?], second picture i provided is a nissan skyline in japan... so cypher, what you're saying is... they gave it a name skyline just to gain popularity with the car? that's funny... |

Shmuck Group: Members Posts: 6 Member No.: 149 Joined: Dec 17th 2002 Location: Update Profile | Tainted It looks as if we were both sort of right about this subject; the pictures you showed are a new skyline and also appear to be identical to the Infiniti G-35 sold in the states. But I highly doubt that the car you found on Nissan's Japanese site is going to be the high performance GT-R. And I also found a pic of the two-door skyline on the Japanese site. http://skyline.nissan.co.jp/PROGRAM/PRESENT/index.html http://skyline.nissan.co.jp/index2.html And some proof to my statement that the INFINITI G-35 is based on the new Z. http://www.caranddriver.com/xp/Caranddrive...oadtest_g35.xml |

i believe that to be my question... and for my research i believe what i said was right... the v35 is a new skyline... but on a different scale or form as the skyline gtr's... i guess it's like the lancer evolution... and the plain lancer... and yes... i believe that "that the INFINITI G-35 is based on the new Z". | ||

IDW Member Group: Members Posts: 25 Member No.: 92 Joined: Nov 18th 2002 Location: Update Profile | The G35 is Infinity's version of the 350z g35 350z see now? well anyways. In pictures I like the G35 much more than the 350, but when you see them both in person, damn, in my oppinion, it looks absolutely lame compared to the 350Z... |
