It's lonely at the top. crying2.gif

Battles are boring. Back in the day it was better to compete at the world stage with TA's than with some kid next to you who could barely drive through Tsu without 10+ wall contacts. A win is a win, yeah, but it's just like "Congrats, you just beat a retard. Have a cookie."

Thanks for the info man.

If you need any help feel free to ask around here. And just for reference here's something I wish I had when I started playing:

I've never practiced at home. ID Special Stage is good for learning where turns are and basic lining. I don't think much transfers from that game to v3.

Most cost-effective way is to spend a day at Boomers with a wristband. Back in the day Brunswick Chula Vista had the game for 50c a play... that's how I practiced.

Oh man, people from Mira Mesa? I live there!
I know a few other people around who play Initial D, didn't think I'd find any people on here from there. Very cool stuff.
The machine at Mira Mesa is in alright condition: the left card reader is usually broken, and the alignment on the right is a bit off.
I'm on vacation for a bit, but I'll be back in a few days; I'll be getting a new card, so check for "EVOD" on the times soon smile.gif

Replaying to such an old thread whistling.gif
But im a Mira Mesa racer currently holding 1st on Akina also known as "Sunz!"
The machines are in the greatest conditions ever. we just replaced them with new ones. the left side has alot more kickback so the wheel wobbles around alittle. and both card readers work. and u can also make cards i usualy go there every day after school

Its been such a long time I've played IDAS3. But are there still machines of this game in SD that are in good condition?

Besides Mira Mesa and Plaza Bonita...

I was bored, so I drove around San Diego last Saturday to find a machine.

Mira Mesa Bowling Alley has 2, but no cards have been refilled.
Tilit in Mission Valley is gone.
Boomers, left side is dead. Right side works, no cards either.

I forgot about the IDAS3 in Boomers. Do they still do the play-all-day for $12 on Tuesdays and Thursdays?

No... LOL. Yes it is me, and yes to the Boomers question. I am going to the Mira Mesa Bowling Lanes tonight after work to start a new card since I lost my 86 a while back.

So I went to Parkway Plaza today and I bought the last card which wasn't even a real IDASv3 card. Anyways, I will be leveling and hopefully will try to break sometimes at the Mira Mesa Bowling Lanes.
